  1. Item: Mickey thompson et street drag slicks 26x10 Age: unsure ive had them about 6 months Condition: used but very good have only done 2 passes, with small burnouts. plenty of rubber left Price: $300 To Fit: whatever u want (will fit any 15x8" rim) Location: sunny coast Contact: Ray 0404759838 or pm Comments: selling as my weekend car no longer moves under its own power
  2. agreed. my 9"+20 rims are right on the guard line at the rear, so if i lower it i'll have to lip the guards a little. but my fronts are actually about 5mm proud of the guard line, but its such a small amount u dont notice it unless ur really looking up close. but they are in no way " sunken in" as AlexCim put it. the rims shown in the linked pics posted by AlexCim are clearly a long way past the guard line and the only reason he didnt need to flare the guards is because he stretched a pair of 235/40s onto a 10" rim (imho to much stretch), any wider tyre would need serious guard flaring. but everyone has their own tastes. you could probably get any width rim in there if u made big enough flares, but we r talking about fitting them without touching the body as silva33 asked.
  3. sweet dude, if u see me around give us a wave. Ditto, even 9" is a really neat fit at stock height.
  4. sweet!! make sure u take lots of pics
  5. agreed. just look around the forum 4 sale sections and trading posts etc, till u find something u like. thats how i found mine (i got lucky and found exactly what i wanted). is ur 260 that sweet white one i see kickin around the coast??
  6. yeah sorry i should've mentioned that. they're 235/40 r18. due to the puncture i didnt have much choice in tyres, in fact that was all i could get. but it looks good though, its got a small amount of stretch, which will be handy when i do lower it. i just gotta work out how low i can go and still get up my driveway.
  7. well as luck would have it, i got a puncture in the side wall of a tire today so i decided to put my rims on. so here are some pics of the clearance to the guard. i threw in a pic of the height of the guard just to show u what it looks like at stock ride height. i should also mention that the front wheel isnt straight. thats why i didnt take the pic from the front. ps dont look at how dirty my car is.
  8. (waves hand in the air) I AM!!! ive got 18x9 +20 offset all round on mine (there off atm cleaning the rims up) almost flush front and rear. maybe a few mm proud. mines std ride height for now. i'll post some piccys 4 u when u put em back on
  9. i spoke with a QLD ploice officer yesterday about this and basically they said driving with fog lights on when its not foggy is a great way to get a ticket. but if u have ur driving lights on at anytime there is no ticket for it. they said that driving lights ARE different to fog lights and u can use driving lights whenever u like. they said spot lights used in the wrong places will get u a ticket as well but we didnt go into that in detail. i dunno how acurate this would be in reference to actual regulations as they just told me this stuff off the top of their head. but at least it may show that different lights may be viewed differently. imo it all comes down to the officer. if they wanna give u a ticket they can, but most of them prob wouldnt be that worried about it.
  10. wow this is alot more technical than i thought. let me just make sure my retarded mind got around this ok. so the increase in pipe diameter is to counteract the overall length of the pipe, number and severity of the bends?? the only question i have, which is the point ive been curious on since the start of this thread. does the larger pipe diameter have a noticeable affect on throttle response?? im not thinking of 800hp race motors, rather the basic upgrades streeter as most ppl would have. pretty much the sort of setup that inspired turboedsloth to start the thread. PS nice write up there GTRgeoff. its a little technical to noobs like me but definelty cleared up things
  11. mine prob died from moisture too. weve had alot of rain latey(600mm over 6 months)and the importers did a dodgy job on the wiring when they removed the xenons. they just drilled a hole in the headlight and poked the wire through, leaving a big hole for moisture too get in. so i covered the hole with silicone. i dont know if it will work, but its worth a try.
  12. nope it wasnt anything like that. i removed the headlight for a better look and discovered that it was just jammed in there. so i grabbed the globe with a pair of pliers and gave it a wiggle and it came out. also the was no rubber boots or retaining rings. i simply removed the grey cover off the back of the headlight by turning it a 1/4 turn anticlockwise which exposed the back of the globe. then i unplugged the wires off the globe and unclipped the retaining wire(i think u call this a spring clip), grabbed the globe with some pliers and pulled it out. the globe in my headlight is a h7 (which has 1 positioning pin) not a h4 (which has 3 positioning pins) like everybody else seems to have.
  13. this doesnt work. ive uncliped the wire clip and the globe is still jammed in tight. i tried turning it (both directions) and it wont budge. i then also removed every screw around the globe and its still very tight. does this method work on series 2 or is there some other method?? ive searched several times for other info but every other thread is about xenons and doesnt mention how to remove the globe
  14. so the controller only gives u more front bias?? imo thats pointless, the normal awd attesa on my stagea has grip up the wazoo. when could u possibly need more?? i thought the controller gave u more rear bias for those times when u want a little less front traction. i guess u learn something new everyday
  15. if u cant find a manual for sale ur not looking hard enough. granted ur not goin to have many to choose from but there is usually a few for sale all the time.
  16. no. im talkin about vt-vx wagons cut into dual cabs. they did a feature on them in st comm magazine. if i can find the article i'll post up the info. i got like 150 magazines to look through. will take a while
  17. u could just buy a stag and have it done here. im sure any place that does 4wd cut downs could handle it. b4 any1 says it, yes i am aware 4wds have a separate chassis. but it shouldnt matter, they will still know what there doin. come to think of it, years ago (pre holden crewman days) i heard of a company cutting down commo wagons into duel cabs.
  18. $130ono want it gone. save yourself $50 on RRP
  19. Item: Apple ipod nano 4GB Age: dunno but ive had it 4 a week or two Condition: Brand New in original unopened box Price: $140 Location: sunshine coast QLD Contact: Ray 0404759838 or pm Comments: unwanted gift. will post at buyers expense
  20. it may be possible to hook up a carpc to the factory screen in a stagea. a guy on mp3car did it to his accord. http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show-off-y...ntegration.html
  21. yeah i know i just thought the skyline was a little closer to home
