  1. Make sure the diff centre u buy is to suit R33 GTR with 6 bolt half shafts. The 5 bolt half shaft diff centres wont work. Unless u change the whole diff and shafts.
  2. Mine only runs stock boost, but the worst economy ive ever got on the street was 12L/100kms. On the highway it gets down to 10.5L/100kms. But mine is manual.
  3. Also check ur tyre sizes. When i bought my 1st stagea it was fitted the tyres that were way smaller than the oem requirement (compliance shops just fit the cheapest crap available). That alone was worth 50kms a tank (highway)
  4. My RS4S is a 98 and as i have the flywheel out sitting next to the gearbox on the floor, i can tell u its definately NOT a dual mass flywheel. The noise is prob the throw out bearing. Mine was noisy.
  5. Wow i got seen alot this trip. Ur S2 looks sweet. I wish mine wasnt so dirty. Also spotted the 2 white S2's, a white m35, a gold m35 and a silver m35. All in and around WTAC.
  6. wow huge response!! thanks to all that PM'd got 1 sorted.
  7. Hello all, as the title states im chasing a powersteering pump for a ser1 RB25DET. for some reason they seem to be hard to find. every import place i call wont separate them from motors. given the amount of RB25's floating round in this country surely someone has one laying around. i'd prefer 1 in SE QLD but interstate is fine if the price is right. just PM me if you can help out. Cheers
  8. Wouldnt a lip for a skyline been a closer fit??
  9. Did you buy it with the bodykit already done?? Willing to sell without the 20in wheels??
  10. I can confirm that patrol struts fit. I have them on mine. u can get them at any auto parts store.
  11. i just thought id point something out here. in the pdf it says the cause of the spewing out the breather is "meniscus" and they are so wrong that its a joke!! meniscus (according to wiki and I remember this from those science class experiments) is the curve in the upper surface of a liquid close to the surface of the container or another object (in our case the outer case of the gearbox), caused by surface tension. what they are actually implying is that "capillary action" is acting on the meniscus and pulling the oil out the breather. if this were really the case it would do it under all conditions not just driving for long periods. even if this was the cause, capillary action alone could not make the oil leave the breather especially in large quantities. judging by the pic posted earlier, id say the shockproof oil is foaming up like dishwashing liquid and pushing the oil out. shame on redline for thier flimsy excuse!!
  12. Please read the rules. You must post a price and links to ebay auctions arent allowed.
  13. I have an idea. Is it possible to make FS threads so only the seller can post?? That way all the communication is done through PM and stops the chit chat. But allowing the seller to post price drops and extra info should they be asked through PM. Could we also give FS ads a use by date?? Say 6 months then its deleted. Im so tired of ppl bringing up 4yo FS ads on a sold item. Or maybe let ppl delete thier for sale ads once its sold.
  14. Im sure they dont have it. But the question is why do u want it?? U can lock all the doors from the drivers seat. Well u can on a s2, dont know about s1. I wouldnt be programming ur alarm to lock the doors while the keys are in it. Thats a great way to lock yourself out of the car.
  15. Watchin that video, the category they r in doesnt seem very even. Those 2 commos fired past half a dozen cars before turn 1, then continued to pull away. I can believe the guy is allowed to race, hes rubbish.
  16. If you can drill holes in it you should be able to cut it. Had you tried a tile cutting blade on on a dremel?? If u have a steady hand u should be able to do it.
  17. Well if ur not up to doing the gearbox swap urself, u should prob sell the car and save up for a better 1 once ur off ur P plates.
  18. As for your crossmember issue i may be able to shead some light on that. A long time ago i hit a gutter in much the same fashion (although in a crappy VS ute) and the damage to the crossmember was substantial. First thing to do is check all the welds on the crossmember. If any are even cracked it must be replaced. Ditto if theres any bent areas. Secondly check it for square. It will need to be measured to make sure its not warped or twisted in any direction. If it is, it must be replaced. Finally, the whole car must be put on a rack and checked that the chassis is still straight. Its easier than u think to tweak the rails. Uve mentioned the bolts being bent so theres a good chance its tweaked. Although being in smash repair im sure u would have done most of these checks. As for the $800 that sounds cheap to me. Personally I'd want to make sure everything is done properly with no corners cut. Otherwise the car will never drive right no matter how much u wheel align it. When my old ute was checked the crossmember was bent, twisted and cracked! It also had damaged the radius rod bush, which later turned out to be a bent rod. As well as a split lower control arm bush. So make sure everything is examined very very carefully.
  19. I bought a pair of monroe struts for patrol and put in mine about a year ago. I dont remember if they were $80 each or for the pair.
  20. being a P plater it begs the question... Why did u buy it in the first place?? if you wanted to do it on the cheap you should be able to find a second hand auto for cheap. they're usually just thrown in the bin by importers because theres so many and nobody wants them.
  21. they do quite a few types. depends which ones you want.
  22. i have the wiring from the nose chop i bought. im fairly sure its got a fuse box with it. i'll have to dig out out to be sure. only thing is its ser1 so i dunno if its the same
