if u really want a good chance at saving your liscence go to court with a lawyer (preferably) - my brother is doing this atm. i thought my brothers case was pretty weak but the lawyer says he has a good chance. so by the sounds of your situation sounds like you will to. good luck mate, i got stung the other day for hpv by tmu (DOGS) lol hope you get off.

Cops Presence And Defects/fines On Victorian Roads.
depalma-bcnr33 replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Victoria
hmm i been lucky, only been pulled over twice in a year (and drive daily)... once was a 'random' pull over (probly because i chucked a u-turn infront of him / undercover bad timing, was legal though) and another on keilor rd, a main strip near my joint, this cop was out to punish p platers that night.. got screwed but HEY overall good... i thought id get heaps more trouble. but i think it depends how u drive too - mind you mine doesnt look like a pig touch wood hope the goodness continues P.S: doesnt have badges on either! smmmaaarrrrttttt -

my 2c, im a p plater and drive a gtr, i think that regardless of whether you have something that goes, or a peice of shit... if u wanna drive like a spastic youll do it anyway. what i do agree with however (yes agreeing with the government) is that by banning high performance cars, itll keep the people who drive like spastics in something not as fast or as performable. now, thats not a solution on its own as some ppl have already stated the obvious that shit cars were not built for this and therefore pose a danger, in that they become significantly uncontrollable when driven in a 'high performance' manner. there is no one peice solution to the problem, education is a must, 700hp gtr i coudnt agree with you more in that awareness is a key factor. however, the government is too concerned with placing fines and demerit points. to be honest, out of all my mates, all of these new laws have dettered none of them from buying high performance cars. i think we need to accept that our ability to reduce this problem is capped. there will always be young people, and always be p platers that want to drive like a spaz, weve all done it. so, to a point these limitations from the government only work so far and the rest is up to us. if something unfortunate happens, so be it (not hoping it happens), but at least the government and community will know efforts were made to reduce this type of behaviour. so yeah, anyone agree?

in my opinion, you seem to have swayed to the supra already. i think it depends on what you want to use it for, personally i believe a gtr is a more streetable item in terms of handling traction etc, but to be honest i do miss a bit of sideays action from the rwd clubbies ive driven many of times. If your chasing power it can be debated forever, are you really going to see this thing to 500hp? do you really know what its going to cost (id suggest to ask some supra guys what its cost them). if your chasing a half RELIABLE 500hp, id say prepare to flop out 10-15k. i think everyone would agree that more power = less reliability and vis a vis. looks cant be debated, its a matter of personal opinion and its going to vary depending on the person. (i mean some people think ceffiro's are good looking *vomits*) i think before you blow your load on a supra jump in a gtr with some work and see how you find it, i cant say ive driven anything that handles as well before, but then again im a bit bias to these cars as i own one. and whoever said 500hp is achievable with a zorst and some boost, pull off the crackie, ive got both and more and arnt making anywhere near that. good luck
