i get my supplements from A1 supps... have been for years and its been great.. each time i do though i like to try other things out... so brands i have tried over the years are San, Muscletech, Optimum Nutrition, musashi, horleys and some no name whey powder.. they all had their good points and bad points.. there is alot of hype with the BSN brand.. so i thought id give it a go... N.O. xplode is in everyones list of supplements and i havent tried a "weight gainer" before and id like to cross it off the list as working or not working, so thats why i got the "true mass" the muscletech "muscle stack" worked... but is expensive and i couldnt keep it up... your popping something like 16 pills a day.. a 30 day stack was like $300 odd. i took them for the month and stopped after that... i had planned to take them for the 3 months of heavy winter training.. but it was too expensive. San 5.0 volu-mass was great, my favourite actually, low on carbs, so your 25g scoop was like 23g of proteins... but went missing in Aus for a while... so i got the ON 100% whey isolate.. was a 4.5kg bag for $160.. which i thought was good value... but i didnt notice any difference with it.. but that was at a different stage of life, so maybe my training was not up to scratch. i tried caffeine tablets a few years ago... and i also tried tribulate tablets.... never again... made me have really wacked out dreams and terrible nights sleep... and i had troubles regulating my temperature, now i just start the day with tea, green tea, or plain old yummy coffee... i also like a strong coffee before boxing... taken on an empty stomach it will get the pulse running, the body warm, and the sweats happening real quick... great for cutting... may make you feel a little bit sick afterwards though.. but thats because your body has nothing to feed on.. hence it eats itself. oh, and back on the topic of the front raise.. if im doing a compound move.. bench press, etc... i like to do a warm up set.. then heavy weight, less reps.. 4 sets of 3-5 or 6-8 reps.. but for pure isolation moves.. front raise, tricep extensions etc... i like to use a lighter weight for 2 sets of 8-10 or 10-12 reps or possibly more.. cheers Linton

yeh im not sure on that duncan... they call them a swirl pot... but that doesnt mean that they actually "swirl" the fuel being that shape... i guess i will just go with a round one... its more for asthetics that i wanted square.. but i wont sacrifice fuel system performance over asthetics for something that is in the boot. cheers.

ZOMG!!!! hahahaha... thats me... oh wow... im in a photo.... ive never been in a photo before... woooo i feel so priviliged... even if it is just my back in my red t shirt... im still the closest one to the camera, which means the photo is of me... oh goodie. p.s. i did nothing in the helping or the hindering of the tent putter-upper-ing... i merely stood there and looked like i was helping... much to the suprise of everyone around me who had no idea who i was or what i was doing... mwhahaha... i love being unknown.. its like being a super hero... oh wait... dammit.. wheres my damn coffee...

hey guys.. im on the search for a neat looking surge tank... now... i dont like the round ones and i dont like the upright ones... but i do like these ones... because they are square... they come in 2L and 4L.. and are wide enough that two bosch pumps can fit side by side and have neat, parallel hoses to them.. but ive heard not so good things about this stuff. mainly intercooler pipes... and bad quality welds etc... which isnt something you want with a slightly pressurized surge tank.. is anyone using these or has anyone heard anything about them... or can anyone point me in the direction of one that is similar... i may go with the advan surge tank which mounts under the car but im undecided. cheers Linton

so what you guyz is saying.... is that we need a tunnel... and we need some wind to blow through the tunnel at 300km/h..... how can we dodgy one up??? i got some pretty heavy industrial fans.. they'll blow your hat off fairly well.... and my driveway is long and skinny... so maybe we fully enclose my driveway... and setup 3 or 4 industrial fans.. and we could watch it from the safety of my kitchen window... or could we perhaps do it in a scale form??? take one of them fancy remote control cars... weight it up to scale the actual car.. and put it in a little wind tunnel to scale and see what happens?? if you had a 1/20 scale model... you'd only need a breeze of 60km/h

ahhh horses for courses my friend... they do work... a healthy and balanced diet is great for everyday healthy living and the best thing in a perfect world... but the world is not perfect, nor are people. supplements are a great "whey" to get extra calories for muscle gain, a great whey to burn fat quick for contest prep... and multi vitamins etc.. are there so that you get everything you need.. every day... yep if you live on an island, and spend your days eating fresh fish, vegatables, salads, and lots of chicken.. and the rest of your time working out, sleeping, and learning... then yes.. supplements arent worth it. the reality is that for a muscle gain diet... eating 2 chicken breasts each day is not practical.. its very expensive and time consuming when you can get the same protein from a whey powder mixed with water.. you cant take it with you in a cup and fill it up from a tap and youve just consumed a small meal in between dinner and lunch. ive tried the healthy diet... and its great... but to gain size you just never stop eating.. the shear amount of food you have to eat is expensive and tiresome.. and gets quite boring and disgusting. the reason your PT mate will tell his clients not to take supplements is simply because they dont know what they are doing... hence.. why they have a PT.. chances are they will abuse the supplement and use it in ways its not meant for... aka.. breakfast... if they need a PT... then they either cannot regulate their calorie intake... or cannot motivate themselves to get educated on physical health and get to the gym and train for an hour on their own accord... so giving them the ok to take supplements is like giving a pyro a box of matches and saying "just use these to light a fire and keep yourself warm" hahaha epic rofl-ing

zomg... i just recieved my winter supplements... BSN NO explode and True Mass... and the true mass which is in a gigantic tub.. is only half full... it only has 18 serves per container.. which at the recommended 3 scoops per serve and 3 serves a day.. that should theoretically last 6 days... grrr... i feel a little ripped off with shit like this... specially when the big tub is only half full... i only buy it because it makes me work out harder... its just a placebo... but i figure if ive paid that much for it.. id better take it.. and if im gonna take it.. i better put the hard work in to make it worthwhile.. i can justify paying the money if it makes me motivated and work harder and harder... but seriously... its half full... the tub is so big its unmanageable after a hard workout (you know, when your arms are shaking and you cant lift a thing) and theres only 18 serves.. youd expect a big tub to have at least 30 serves.. last time i buy an overhyped supplement.. back to the ON 100% whey 4kg bags for $160 me thinks. end rant.

is this it mr eps?? belongs to matt aka god speed.. (and, going out on a limb here, terry's son??) personally ive always thought the r33 is the better overall car in gtr and gtst form.. its a more usable and comfortable car than the 32 or 34.. its the kind of car that you can drive everyday, and have an ultra mild street car... something epic and clean, with simple bolt ons.
-
i know... i have been building up for this event since the end of last years superlap... now i feel empty inside... except for the rumble to get my hurry on and get my 32 ready for next year.

me no speak no roy-grish.... please explain??

more low... more stiff... more noise... more wheel track... less weight.... and more testing with big fans and streamers or smoke... the only thing not on that list is more power.

i think 2 hours for the drift boys on saturday was a bit much... and they just needed to keep it a freestyle "whatever goes" setup... the battles were a tad boring and inconsitent... aswell as taking up a lot of setup time to get the pairs matched up etc. was great on friday when the 350z lost its tyre... that was gold... went right back to him.. you couldnt have planned it any better.
-
maybe thats why it hurt?? plane seats arent comfortable at the best of times.. haha.
-
heres a few of the pics i took on saturday... yet to go through fridays shots properly... they go so frickin fast its hard to get good shots. love the tomei wrx stepping out, shame its a bit fuzzy. cheers Linton
-
i nearly did the opposite... i didnt know stevo-o wore glasses.. haha. i didnt get a chance to say hi to you fatz (even though i was watching the drifting about 2m away from you) you looked major pimp with your goatee and closed in shoes.

thats true.. i didnt mind him... he was doing his best with the little information that seemed to be past on to him.... "the drifters will be taking to the track very shortly... oh wait... the drifters are on the track" haha... gold.. as they go flying through turns 3, 4, and 5.

yeh... haha.. i do that.. im not a fan of introductions.. its a pointless and awkward excercise, talk shop or get out, i say..... i recognised doof though.. it would have been much more awkward if i had have come over earlier and had nothing to say.. other than "hey... im on SAU" great to see the cyber evo take the crown... what a monster that thing is... love how low and stiff the japs cars are... they really are the tuning gods.. and its not until you see the best of what we have up against the best that they have that you see that they know their stuff... evidently their super low cars handle.. and their super stiff coilovers do suit austrailan tracks... who'da thunk it?? good job by russ jr, great times.... you were really pushing it today... needs more loud though.. could barely hear it coming.. and we all know loud cars are the fastest hahaha. we took off after the second pro session as we didnt want to wait till late in the afternoon.. so didnt get to hang around the sau tent for too long and meet anyone.. we just rocked up and sorta sat there.. so duncan, neil, turismo, shell, etc... that random in the advan jacket running up and down the hill was me! also... a big thanks to all those involved in organising the event and the visitors... it was well worth it and went off without a hitch from my point of view.. cant wait till this takes off... EC was much better than OP last year.. oh... and the drifting was great... pleeeeease Eastern Creek... let them drift.. they didnt hurt anyone!!!! cheers Linton
