  1. it does unless its got the right height and right wheels.
  2. they'll fit skyline... but not commodore unless they have 2 stud patterns.
  3. most of the dodgy blue slippers up here have been wrapped over the knuckles. what other mods have you got that get defected??
  4. if only i didnt need wheels and a clutch... oh well. free bump
  5. heck i would even put down a run for shits and giggles if there was one there.. i know that driving for 6 seconds (if its a 1/8 mile) in a straight line is boring but meh... its a cop free, tyre frying thrash.
  6. they are a good tyre, but waaay overpriced if you ask me.. i had them on my 33 (picked em up 2nd hand) and them oem on my ss... chewed em up all round and priced another set and it was nearly $350 a tyre for 235/35/18s.. got some kuhmos instead at $235 a tyre delivered and didnt notice much difference at all on the ute, and it 300kw at the wheels. as for the r32... mine was standard when i got it, only upgrade is coilovers and pineapples... handles like garbage... putting it down to the balloons that its rolling around on... 205/55/16 on a 6.5 rim makes for alot of instability... it just doesnt feel flat around corners... like if you were standing on a plank of wood with a balloon under it.. the board is stiff, but cant get it to the ground.. so my 2c is to keep the stocker suspension at the moment, get some swaybars and bigger wheels and tyres. the stock suspension will help you launch and with swaybars and grippy tyres wil be enough to keep you on the black stuff.
  7. i checked for a sticker or any sign of an indication of offset or size.. nothing there... the shop annoyed me and when i got the wheel on and saw instantly that it didnt fit, i cracked it and didnt really have a good look i guess. my bad.
  8. how easy do the guards "flare" on an r32 gtst?? im undecided as to get some nice rims that dont fit, and make them fit, or just get different rims later. ive found some awesome rims that look phat on the car, and most importantly, they are the right price, from what the importer can tell they are 17x8 and 17x9, but the 255s on the rears fit too well, so im thinkin they might be a 9.5" and 8.5" the rears, with the car still jacked up, the edge of the rim was almost an inch out from the body.. the top of the tyre was about 15mm out.. but with a stretched 235 tyre it will come close, so some slight flairing will be needed.. im just worried that the rim itself will still be sticking out too far to look any good the fronts stuck out a bit, but not an issue, ill just fit some wider guards or something but the fronts didnt have tyres on so i couldnt drop it down to check fitment properly. i might go back and just put a rear on and see what happens.. my car is pretty low and has lots of rear camber at the moment so hmm... the rims in question are Panasport GT's and suit my 32 really well. so do i get them and flare the guards to suit?? or just not get them? cheers Linton
  9. yeh 215's will just fit a 9"
  10. mine did 120000kms and then the seal went after the wastegate line came off during a dyno run.
  11. so its 600 for the rims, 600 for the tyres... im guessing its 1200 for the rims with the tyres??
  12. keen on a/c compressor and maybe radiator.. if i was smart id probs get the alternator also, but im not. where part of central coast are you from?? im in newy... are you up here at all?? cheers Linton
  13. that is a kickass garage mate.. good price for the cover but my gtr is a bit far off to buy one this early.
  14. its also very hard for the workshop to create a clay masterpiece if they are working with shit, so to speak. if you had just forked out for a set of good quality volks, brand new off the boat, and then got them wrapped in some very expensive high quality rubber, the mans job would be very simple. if you've given him some cheap, worn rubber, on old beat up rims, or even cheap new rims, then he can only do what he can do. are your volks new or second hand?? are they volks?? ive seen lenso's that someone put a volk logo in the centre caps. and it will be ok to go down your street with the wheels swapped around. if youre taking it to the track, then take it to a proper suspension place... or someone that atleast deals with other race cars and fitting semi slicks, etc. also... one more thing.. look at it from his point... heres a guy, who wants his wheels balanced.. for speeds over 120km as he's going to the track.. yet he has cheap, mismatching tyres front and rear, and doesnt want to spend money for 4 good tyres, of a reputable brand... unless its a beat up drifter.. that story doesnt add up.. if you rocked up with 4 semi slicks to be put on lightweight rims... he might think different and put some effort into it. again... 110 is the max limit.. so why on a cruise will you be just sitting on 120?? and in all the money your going to spend on going here, going there, turning the tyres around, etc. you may aswell just buy 2 brand new, QUALITY name tyres.
  15. gday mate, im after an a/c compressor, l/h power window regulator, and im keen on the hicas bar. how much for each plus postage to nsw 2291?? cheers Linton
  16. kgc10, you could meet us at broke.
  17. how the hell did you get a 215 on a 9.5"! thats awesome.. i thought 235 on 9.5 was a bit of a stretch.
  18. if you can feel it pulsate through your foot, or it shakes under braking, its your rotors. you really shouldnt be doing 120 anyway and i would always say that to a customer when they complained of a noise or shaking at anything over 110... as there is no legal place to test these speeds, its not up to the workshop, if its correct to 110 then hes done his job, anything over and its your problem. cheap tyres that have been flat or have been pinched on a gutter, etc can have irregularities with the sidewalls and cause a wobble.. tyre pressures can too... do you have a slow leak?? could be a buckled wheel that has had the gutter rash repaired. swap the fronts to the back.. if it still does it, its a steering problem, if it stops, its a wheel problem. i have seen wheels balanced before the tyre goes on, with the weights placed on the tyre side of the rim, that would stop it hitting on your brakes, but not as effective. cheers Linton
  19. restecp!! well there goes my idea of using some r34 gtr turbos due to the steel wheel.. just have to get some n1's instead.
  20. ok well it turns out that this a/c amplifier is the climate control unit itself... thanks everyone for pointing that out to me.
  21. i used to be a rural dweller... i would again if i could. yep, stone chips, bugs, dust, its all part of the deal.. but you get some good roads where you can give it a good boot and have fun.. without hassling people, without the risk of crashing into a house, or other cars and without the pedestrians. cheers Linton
  22. wait up, that was a nissansilvia.com cruise... is newcastle silvia club different??
  23. we had a meet up with them a few years ago in newy... involved a nudie run through forshore park.. beer bottles and toilet paper being thrown out of one car.. and two guys were tanked before we even headed off and wrecked the day.. silvia guys are... i dunno... different.
  24. they call me Captain Slow and Boring. is that why youre going in super lap?? thank you lady!
