hey guys after much thinking, and looking, and thinking, and driving, and thinking. ive decided to part with the 33 and buy a much cheaper, more driftable car, and also a suitable tow car. i bought the car in november last year, it had 115000 kms on it, it now has 125000kms on it. only gets driven on weekends, if i have somewhere to go. otherwise it sits in the shed. 1995 ser 1.5 R33 gtst, 125000kms, 5spd, september rego (will get it rego'd if not gone by then) has been serviced 4 times since i bought it, with Repsol Elite competition oil and genuine filters. Exterior: burgandy 400r front bar Top secret skirts and rear pods GTR wing 18x9 and 18x8 Work meisters Suspension, Brakes: KYB buzzspec coilovers Pineapples Cusco strut brace RB74 pads all round Nismo Braided lines Engine: Hi flowed turbo FMIC full 3" exhaust w/ nice cannon Apexi Pod w/ Garage Debris airbox Boost controller HKS SSQV BOV, plumbed back in Carbodix Carbon button clutch plate, modified GTR pressure plate (3500kg clamping pressure), lightened flywheel (2 weeks old) Bosch 044 fuel pump w/ surge tank mounted in boot. Interior: Nardi steering wheel (not sure if keeping this, but there will be a sports wheel on there) Apexi Safc Apexi Turbo timer Apexi Boost gauge Nismo gearknob thats about all i can think of at the moment, wanted to build it up for drift, but was going to cost to much, and its too much of a nice cruiser the way it is, i couldnt bring myself to rip out all the interior and back seat, and pull the kit off, so im selling it to buy an HR31 gtsx so im looking for a hr31 gtsx, any condition, any mods. but must be street registered and manual. if anyone has one, id be willing to swap + cash. heres some pics cheers Linton

Tragic, the new price is $130 or $140 delivered. Akeevil... quite true in what you are saying... good thing about 2mm aluminium is its not easy to bend by hand, even to pry up. i have been asked by a few people if i could put perspex in the lid, this will not be done as its easier to be defected, the point of the box is to conceal the pod to make it harder to be defected... even though the pod is boxed and "legal", if the cop can still see that you have a pod, he'll get you for a noise test or some other bullshit. cheers Linton

im no longer doing the original style lid... as its too time consuming and tricky to fold. can be done, but the time it takes is way too long compared to the new design... for that reason ive increased the price, i have to buy more bits and pieces to put them together, otherwise i wouldve increased the price to compensate for the labour required. it was also way easier to completly stuff the lid the old way. im going to do other cars aswell.... but im flat out working and making boxes for gtst's after work, only so many hours in a day. ill post up some pics of the new box shortly, it looks nothing like the photoshop job. cheers Linton

265/35/18 - fit to stock guard?
NZM.031 replied to dd4321's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
yes and yes. 265s will fit, no problem. but they will be way to wide for an 8" rim. 215s fit square on an 8" rim. cheers Linton -
would you pay a $500 deposit to test drive a car?
NZM.031 replied to [D4RKS1D3]'s topic in General Automotive Discussion
when i was looking for my 33, there were a few that wouldnt take me for a drive, and a few that took me for a drive... most of these were stock as... when i was talking to the guy who i bought the car off that i wanted to drive it before i bought it... and wasnt driving 3 hrs to have a look at the car then leave. he was going to let me drive it by myself, he was giving me directions of places to go. i wanted him to come along though, didnt feel right driving by myself. he drove me out to the homebush stadium, big open roads and loads of empty unused car parks and then let me have a drive.... i was satisfied and bought the car straight away if he had have asked for a deposit, i would have paid it for sure... cash in hand though... so that if i didnt like the car, i could get my money back straight away... i dont see the problem with paying for a drive though, if your serious, you have the money anyway... i also think that a reasonable price for a drive might be 5-20% of the sale price... $900 on the spot for a test drive for a $90000 GTR but i wouldnt buy a car unless i got to drive it... how else are you going to know whether its what you want or not... im thinking of getting something different for drifting, either a 31 coupe or a cefiro. ive driven a modified s13 and didnt like it... ive driven a modded aus 31, but never an import 31, and ive never even sat in a cefiro...let alone know what they drive like. for most people, they cant take a risk with buying a car like you can with buying a different brand of orange juice... cheers Linton -
ive done it to my 33, no dramas. we do it all the time at work... it wont hurt the engine, as it introducing more hydrocarbons, making it run richer... the white smoke is unburnt hydrocarbons... its good stuff. cheers Linton

ill post up my pics when i get the time. i had an awesome day!! big up to all the crew that organised it, well done!! the 2 classic skylines were my favourite, aswell as the 2 HR31s...and all the other 31s. all the winners were very deserving, especially MADGTR, it was unreal! ill be entering mine next time round though. cheers Linton

i went down the putty at 4am one day, it was unreal....no farmers or trucks mosying along.... could see the headlights around the corners if someone was coming... and it was very very cold that morning... made for a very spirited and tyre shredding adventure. d-d... monkeykplunk and i are thinking of doing a putty cruise in august sometime champ. also anyone that doesnt know about the putty... get the new speed, it has a review in it. it also mentions the cops in singleton, they are shocking. cheers Linton

yeh my insurance asked me about my work rims, i told her $4000, coz in the event that something happens... i want to be able to get another set. but jdmimports sells my rims for around 2500-3500... insurance companies dont look on internet forums, or for second hand rims. cheers Linton

cmon guys.... even though the pics suck, you can still see its a fairly moddified engine bay, greddy plenum, big radiator, silicon rad. hoses, engine strut... unless your a massive wanker with too much money, you dont put that kinda stuff on a stock motor... specially not the plenum. hes obviously put alot of work into it, and just couldnt wait to get better pics to share it with everyone.. id be excited too if my car went like that thing... it will in time though. but yeh, on the other hand, shouldnt have posted up until you have better pics and a dyno graph... you can post up a list of parts, just dont show you plate in any photos or on the dyno sheet. nice work dude... where did you get the engine strut?? is it just a universal one or made for the line?? cheers Linton
-
you sure can.... its the r33 ecus that cant be touched. Dr Drift does r32 ecus, and does them pretty good too. cheers Linton

high performance brands... HKS, JDM, JUN, A'Pexi etc etc
NZM.031 replied to Xp3nd4bl's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Apex intergration, Apexi, Apexera HKS and HKS kansai are just different places, but kansai take some HKS components and modify them further. HKS and garret are definatly not the same thing. hks use garret turbos and modify them further. Trust is as said above. there are a few more, but its late, ill think of em at work tomorrow. cheers Linton -

NEWCASTLE CRUZ 2 the 2ND SKYLINE SHOW N SHINE 17th JULY
NZM.031 replied to R32GRUNTN's topic in New South Wales
Duncan.... everyone is saying enter....i cant see the point personally. im not trying to be negative.... but my idea of a show and shine is going down to see some fully sick skylines, like the gibson motorsports cars and Leewahs GTR and other cars like that, that inspire me to do great things with my 33, i dont want to walk around and look at 50 stock r33s and grandpa r31s. id rather borrow my old 31 and drive down in that as its got more balls and gets more respect than my 33 does.... also, my 33 has a fairly stock motor with a few add ons, nothing special, sure it has a bodykit and 18" dished Work meisters, but they have some gutter damage, and the kit is falling off from drift damage, and the bootllid has a few marks in it from trying to get the wing off.... not exactly an ideal show car... its a drivers car that gets driven. just my 2 cents, i know a few other guys that feel the same way too... so im looking fwd to having a good cruise, in mine or someone elses car, and seeing a bunch of balls out skylines. cheers Linton -
i had the same problem on the weekend. turned out my boost guage line had slipped out of its cable tie and snuck down to my clutch pedal.... noticed the clutch was harder than usual, then next time i pressed the clutch it pulled it off the guage.... made alot of vacuum noise then haha, my bad cheers Linton
