  1. yeh, im looking at different types of insulation, but these will be a "Deluxe" box that will cost extra. ill do a temp. test when i can find a thermoprobe long enough to reach to the airbox, mine reaches to the turbo at the moment. i thought it would be slightly easier too moanie, but anyway, now that ive got the first one made, i can go see where it could be improved more and go from there. cheers Linton
  2. swaybars will not affect the ride or comfort in a straight line, they dont have the same affect as shocks and springs or bushes... their proper name is anti-roll bars. they connect the chassis to the control arms and hold it stiff through out corners, reducing body roll, keeping the car centred throughout the corner. alot of coilovers are that stiff that emphasis on swaybars is not so important. if you want to see how much of an affect swaybars have, remove them all together and go for a drive...body roll central as the car is relying on the springs to take the weight of the car + inertia of the corner. they dont affect castor or camber, or any alignment specs. aftermarket adj. s13 ones will be fine in the ceffy, they arent that much heavier. yes it is worth getting adjustable ones. hope that helps cheers Linton
  3. moanie, i got done by an arsehole of a cop, in singleton, by the name of Smith, he has a bad name around the hunter valley, nobody likes him, has been alot off petitions to get him off the force as he is just cruel. he let me off with the box in place. ive never heard of it having to be in a plastic box, alot of cars have metal airboxs. they went to plastic for the cost + weight. thanks for the compliments guys, sorry Mark, but she looks similar to alot of other 33s around, so shes going to get changed from classy to drift spec... i love it how it is but i want to stand out. doodz, the airbox is piss easy to install. im sorry but the allen head bolts are staying, they look neater, im not putting thumb screws on there, just carry the correct allen key in your car. hell, ill give you one if you want me to. cheers Linton
  4. its a fully enclosed box housing the filter securely....every cop that has pulled me over has asked whats under it and i just say an air filter....the scowl at me and then look for other things.
  5. will be doing other cars soon. i havent quit my day job so i can only do so much with my evenings, waiting on more equipment to make job more professional... getting into anodizing shortly too, watch this space!! imagine anodized cam covers, cooler piping, inlet manifolds, brackets, anything aluminium...hell even an anodized head. cheers Linton
  6. i made a duct from the front bar....air can get in from around the head light and stuff... its a box for aftermarket pods... so you dont get defected. cleaning the pod is easy as removing three allen head bolts that hold the lid on installation is easy as too. cheers Linton also making radiator panels, finalising design, pics will be up soon.
  7. i hope you were drifting that keyboard on a desk where it should be. otherwise its a stupid thing to do....do you have the beer insured?? hope he wasnt hurt.
  8. make sure you put the nut back on slightly before you start pulling at the wheel....have seen guys rushed off to hospital due to a steering wheel to the face... nice car by the way... cheers Linton

  13. sorry champ, but there would be no satisfaction in taking them to court, as you would have to pay yours + their court fees... also, as much as they suck and its wrong, the car had to get on the road somehow, if its unregistered, it should be in your yard or somewhere off the road until it does get registered....unless you have a permit to drive from the rta...which allows the driver to go to the place of inspection. but for a cop to hassle one of us is normal, for them to harass a mature adult, is just a new low. registration is the tax for driving a car. sorry bro, tell your mates mum im sorry too. cheers Linton
  14. mate, do you have a starter motor by any chance?
  15. that is awesome champ, nuthin better than an immaculate black r32 gtr with r34 rims. i love it, makes me want one again. congrats Linton
  16. 240rwkw from an rb20 with fmic and exhaust??? dont you mean 140....even 140 is a good effort, an rb20 is lucky to reel out over 100rwkw. and if you dont have an exhaust...how does your car sound tough??? does the car have any other mods?? wierd post man, try and clean it up a bit. cheers Linton
  17. looks awesome champ....as the first pic opened up, first thing i saw was the commodore behind you, was about to blow up, then the pic fully loaded and resized itself.
  18. ok guys new update. items have been put slightly on hold as im waiting for some equipment to come to make them better, a new bender and some new holesaws. im putting things on hold until they turn up. cheers Linton

  20. i love 31s, wish i still had mine. i had a play around with your 31, im not very good with photoshop yet though.. trying to put a ceffy bodykit on it. nice looking car as is though. cheers Linton
  21. the hks one would have been fitted after....you should remove them both and get a new bov for the factory position, they arent expensive these days. stock bovs arent much chop, and neither are the early hks ones, and running two bovs is a silly thing to do on an rb20, no need for it. popping is due to richness, which if you have air leaking from one of the bovs it wont adj fuel to match the air loss. atmospheric bovs cause it to backfire, but if its only just started, id say you have a problem. cheers Linton
  22. i have pinapples set up for drift. what happens is.... for all round performance and general tightening up of the diff cradle, you put all 8 pinapples in. this keeps the diff in its orginal position but stiffens it up.. for drag, you put four in, 2 at the top on the front and 2 at the back underneath the cradle. this changes the angle of the cradle so when you stomp on it, the cradle which would normally move around is now held in position, different but at a different angle, encouraging squat. drift is the opposite. and sets the cradle up the opposite way... they do work, and it takes a bit to get used to. you can feel the diff is tighter, the wheels spin easier and for longer. i have alloy ones, which transmit a bit of noise and vibrations, polyurethane ones shouldnt do that though. cheers Linton
  23. that would be an awesome drift car. bonnet pins too, wonder if its an aftermarket bonnet or what else is done to it.... would be good, but its up over $1000 now cheers Linton
