Jordan.... we have done that to a mates 180, mounted it behind the front bar. AKtive.... yes there are such things as plumb back with a crazy sound... the turbosmart plumb-back, rather than the quiet flutter noise, its makes a loud DOOOOOV DOOOV DOOV sound. i dont really want one of the turbosmart bovs though. cheers Linton

i really dont care if bogans bag me out, i know they are doing it. i dont care if anyone bags me out. but where i live, there are true bogans everywhere. there are 5 imports in my town, my 33, 2 other 33s, a 32 and a 180sx. i cop shit at tafe, i cop shit at work, i cop alot of shit for my car, i really dont care, they do care though. i was at bathurst for the few years that skylines were in it. it was awesome racing. some of it i cant rememeber as i was too young, ive hated holdens n fords ever since then. the treatment the fans gave the other cars was pathetic. every other motorsport is getting taken over with including other cars. the only solitude i have is to watch drifting. which is now getting taken over by aussie crap. and to aKtive....its illegal to drift on public roads.... i dont live near a track that is open every night for drifting.... so i sit here on the net and d/l videos of it. i practice every oppurtunity i get. cheers Linton

is it squeaking with your foot on or off the clutch?? is it in the pedal, or in the clutch?? if it does it at idle but goes away with the clutch in, it could be a misalignment in the clutch plate, one of the springs in the cover plate could be worn or bent, it could be nearing the rivets. if its a pedal noise, could be any of the things already said. go crazy with wd40. if it changes for moment, thats where the noise is. cheers Linton

hey guys i have some 235s on the front and 255s on the back. im sending the front rims away to be changed from 18x8 - 18x10 and putting the back rims on the front 18x9. the 235s have alot of over hang on the 8" rim...as do the 255s on the 9" rim. the car is being set up for drift, it doesnt get driven on the road very often (ive put 4000kms on it in 4 months, including a 2000km round trip to QLD). was just wondering what the best tyre size would be to stretch over the rims, that will be 18x9 and 18x10. im not sure how much stretch is to much. ive know a guy that will fit them for me. cheers Linton

the best description of the super ssqv sound is probably someone removing a sword from a metal scabbard...you know that shhiiiiiinnnngggg noise. or that same person hitting something metallic with that same sword. very loud, very sharp, very clear, can get annoying on other ppls car. cheers Linton

i dont rate the pontiac gto either. i think drifting should be for jap cars only. the bogans have the v8 supercars, brute utes and summernats. how great would it be if we got all the b'n's rigs out there into drifting.... with holdens and fords getting into drift, once again our beloved jap cars will be put down by the majority as being "crappy 2 stoke 2 litre shitboxes" i enjoy going to drift comps and days and watchin my favourite cars doing their thing. just the same as bogans go to bathurst. if i wanted to see holdens and fords attempting to drift, id sit at my local maccas and watch all the idiots in my town. why should i make the effort to drive 3hrs to see holdens and fords and have bogans bagging out the jap cars. cheers Linton

yeh i agree, i did my plenum by hand, probs shouldnt have started it, but once started, it had to be finished. its not perfect, but i like it how it is. not a fan of paying ppl to do up stuff for you, unless its specialist stuff. doing things yourself makes the car that much more apart of you. cheers Linton

yeh i have, but ive heard they can still defect u for it, if they are the unhappy or unknowing kind, and most are. the car is being setup for drift, and ive noticed that all the jap drifters go to extreme lengths to plumb back their bovs. so id like to go all out plumb back, but that said, theirs no reason why i cant still have a decent sounding bov, just wondering what that bov is. ive tried a search but after sifting through threads i couldnt come up with anything. cheers Linton

hey guys, after a visit from mr. highway patrol concerning my car. i have decided to clean up all defectable items, of which i only have one. my hks ssqv bov. i modified it at work today, put an extension off the housing and plumbed it back in to the intake. i knew i'd lose the high pitch ching sound, but i was hoping for a tough sounding loud flutter, like the green drift r32 4 door on hpi 8 or the hpi R34 (which has a turbosmart bov), i got nothing but the flutter sound as per normal just without the ching sound. i didnt think id miss the sound but i do. anyone know of any tough sounding plumb-backs?? is it just a matter of more boost through it or are proper plumb backs made differently?? cheers Linton

check one of the sponsers they have a decent looking kit for a good price. nothing on cars isnt money well spent... except rice mods. its just when u spend the money on what that matters. oil coolers definatly handy though. im going through and sorting out all little problems and building up my support systems so when i get a bigger turbo i know everything will handle it. cheers Linton

a mate of mine has these tyres on his gtrs equipped 180sx, they have awesome life, it smokes them if you punch it 2nd and through 3rd, but in 7 months they have hardly worn, compared to my pirellis which are dead within 4 months. awesome drift tyre i thinks. cheers Linton

i just installed my safc on friday night. d/l the 2 pdf's and its alot easier. it has 2 diagrams for rb25, one for ser 1, one for ser 2, however they are both the same. also look closely at the wiring and the locations in the connector. there was a few times i questioned which wire it was. dont rush it and u'll be fine. cheers Linton

master power are from the same place as xs power turbos. these are garret housings with cheaper chinese quality shafts, wheels, and bearings. they fall apart after a few hundred kms. a guy at tafe just built up his lowlux motor and put an xs power t3/t4 on it, after running the engine in, he gave it a boot and kablammo!!! the shaft snapped in half, lucky it didnt chew the comp wheel up. stay away from them. cheers Linton

hey guys, im just watchin some drift vids, which is the first time ive seen the new capa ute drifting... was just wondering what others think of this ute? personally i dont think it belongs on a drift track. just the same as skylines and silvias dont belong in v8 supercars or the brute ute series. and being anti holden/ford, i just hate the thing all together. cheers Linton

hey guys, just wondering why skyline owners dont wave to each other anymore?? there used to be a time when u could go in to newcastle and everyone waved to everyone else in a skyline, aussie 31s through to 34 gtrs. went down to newi today and saw a few lines' gave them a wave, and not one waved back except for a black 33gtst with a veilside front bar, we had a bit of play up the hill past bar beach. but that was it. i saw 6 imports and 2 aussie 31s. i was in my 33, wine red, 400r kit and gold work meisters. and got snobbed by a p plater in a 31 silo. whats goin on! cheers Linton
