  5. How did all the brackets and mounts come out? Interested in doing this as well.
  6. Good choice. Inline 6 turbo has a very nice note.
  7. Too true. These new turbos coming out have new architecture, for lack of a better word. In essence turbochargers are air pumps, while people compare smaller older designed turbos of the 20th century, people need to understand we are in the 21st century now and that these new turbos offer much better designed internals for higher boost applications.
  8. Why would you run low boost on a big frame turbo??? Why don't I use a sledge hammer to drive in a 8mm nail into a wall... Physically these types of turbos are made to be wound to very high boost, usually starts to make big leaps from 25psi. Like PJ said, if you want to run low boost then stick with smaller turbos... stop talking down the Precision turbos, or man up and wind it out to 30psi.
  9. Too much misleading info in this thread mate... I'd take a look over here for specifics: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/
  10. Are you sure they've changed dynos? Not a bad figure there... What were you expecting it to make before going E85?
  11. 1 x Sump 1 x Gearbox 1 x Filter 1 x Diff
  12. Count me in for the next one. Will certainly go for the Gearbox, Diff and transfer case ones as well.
  13. Yes do the crime do the time... No complaints there. However, the case of setting up more cameras to ping more people is not addressing the REAL issue of road safety at all. I am tired of the all the scare tactics with "speed kills". It is only a factor. Many cases it is usually due to the driver not driving suitably to the road conditions or just not using basic common sense. The core of it is education and re-education. Those advanced driving courses only have benefits in my eyes. They should be compulsory. You can NEVER have enough skill with any vehicle.
  14. You do realize that they use tax payers money to purchase these so called safety cameras / speed cameras. Then they go on to ping people. Enough of the argument that if you don't speed you don't get fined. Seriously, no one can say that they have ever sped or were speeding. There are plenty of known black spots etc. BUT a camera does not solve the problem, it only masks the problem...
  15. Maybe you should look at the bigger picture... http://camerafraud.wordpress.com/why/

  18. A collective set up in bringing down these so called safety / speed cameras. http://camerafraud.wordpress.com/why/ They have been successful in bringing down some of Redflex's finest cameras in the states. Drop them a line about the cameras being set up here in NSW. Spread the good word!
  19. In addressing overall sustainable development. China isn't western. Same for India. These two countries are going through their respective industrialization. You can't stop it, its the whole nature of developing countries. However, I am looking at Europe as a whole. They are much more proactive than we are, this is my first hand experience being on a study tour through Europe. To put it into perspective I have been involved with bio-diesel research and development and what I see is that Australia is stuck in the old mindset, that translates into the very slow or not even adopting new and upcoming technologies quick enough. We have way too much 'red tape' and restrictions it becomes a bit of a joke. I guess population does play a major part, but it shouldn't be an excuse. Car manufacturers always need to meet new emission requirements and it gets so much harder when each new model needs to come out with more power / torque etc. The very exact reason why the legendary RB26 could not survive for another generation as it was deemed too hard to meet emission laws. It is also why manufacturers have stopped developing new inline 6 engines... they have gone to a V configuration due to compactness and efficiency. (New M3 etc) These trends can be seen across many industries as you have mentioned. I've given up on voting... would rather cast a null vote because I thought changes would happen but I'm not holding my breathe for any party or anyone no more. Politicians and there advisory committees have lost touch with the real world in my eyes.
  20. You will find that emission is a global issue. Car manufacturers have to meet global emissions set points. So your rhetoric is not only ignorant but very narrow. Think on a global scale... Australia is so behind for a developed western country it is beyond a joke.
  21. It's quite sad that the Police target imports through defects etc... And then there are thieves who target imports just for parts etc... I have sworn to myself to never park in any of the car parks in the city. EVER. Had similar experience at the Entertainment Centre carpark. Attempted but never got anywhere since I had an alarm / immobilizer and steering wheel lock. Best of luck with it but it is common knowledge that these carparks in the city are swarming with teams of car thieves who target imports etc.
