why is my non turbo skyline so impossible ive seen how to do the turbo ones and you just have to remove the intake pipe but with mine i have everything hanging over the black cover. it has the whole throttle body and the manifold and if i remove that then id have to get a new gasket because im pretty sure its glued.

has anyone hear changed coilpacks for a r34? the reason im asking is because its sooooooo impossible why did they make it so hard to get to. if it was turbo than its way easier to do but being n/a there is way to many things blocking it including the main manifold that sits on the top. im going insane im hating this car so much right now.

i do that track all the time as well to sell that rally car and get some fast money. i own heaps of cars and always test them on that track.its a good game when your bored and you feel like playing it and you drive all your different cars and then buy new ones. i think i own every skyline on it as well. the r34 gtr r tune is good and so is 'Mines' r34. the thing is though i bought a nismo r32 gtr s tune and the year said 2000 is that true?

im not stupid i know how to look after my car. i have only had it for about 3 months and it had a full service before i picked it up, so im pretty sure its fine, and i do check my oil frequently and coolant and all the rest.

im guessing your car is not turbo so if it is go either 2.5 or 2.25 inch exhaust because any bigger and you will lose alot of low down torque but if its turbo than 3 inch is fine. if your car is non turbo then check out the naturally aspirated section of the forums because that has alot of information on exhausts for n/a's just type in 'exhaust' in that search section and you will get alot gauranteed.

nah that cant be it cause i havnt changed the oil or topped it up. oh and i have checked it also.

thanks for your answer i had a feeling it might be but it threw me off that it would vibrate badly and run roughly but then again i suppose they could do that too. plus my car was driving on that really hot day on monday so that could have cooked them as well.

ok guys hear is an update. i just started my car this morning and there was no engine light and it was fine, after a bit i revved it a little then revved it to about 5000 and it dropped normally but then the light came on again but still seemed to idle this time ok without the bad vibration but it did smell really bad of fuel i dont know if this is normal for starting it up in the morning but it was bad.

im from sunbury but i think most people live on the other side of melbourne. it felt like the more the revs slowly dropped the more vibration throughout the entire car. im still thinking coilpacks from what i have read but not 100% sure.

thanks for replying. ok i have a r34 workshop manual it says how to do a diagnostics check but it really makes no sence to me it says to put the keys in to on but dont start the engine and then to put some wires into something to activate it. i tested my car today and checked all the plugs and stuff and they are fine i started it up and it sounded fine but then the whole car starts vibrating really badly and a very strong smell of fuel which could be normal cause it hadnt been started up for a day and a half. its killing me cause im too scared to drive it somewhere in case it is serious or if its just coilpacks.

can i go to any of these to watch for free and get an understanding how it works?

hey everyone i wasn't 100% sure where to post this but everyone on hear are very good and im from vic also so hear it goes: a few days ago i had a little accident and have a huge dent in the bonnet so im looking for a new one at the moment. just today my dad took the car out and came home saying the engine light is on so i go to start it up and it was really rough the whole car was shaking, it felt like a had a huge v8 that wasnt really running well. so i pulled it in and quickly shut it off. now my problem is would anyone have any ideas what it could be because tomorrow is a public holiday and i got to get to work on wednesday so i was hoping it could be maybe a lose plug that would do it or would it be much worse .

thanks guys for the responses. i do have full comp im just awaiting to see how much hers will cost because her car looks ok i dont think it should cost to much but mine looks like they would probably replace the bonnet and maybe the front bumper as well which really sucks. maybe this is an excuse to get a gtr front end conversion .

hey everyone ive jsut had an accident which was my fault in a parking lot. now her damage isnt bad at all it just has some scratches on the right side on the rear. but my cars front is rather wrecked i have a huge dent on the bonnet and the bonnet is lifted up now on one side also my headlights on the left side are pushed in and some little scratches. ok the lady said she will get a quote and get back to me if it isnt that much should i just pay it or call up my insurance company. i think my car might need a new bonnet now does anyone know where i can get one and fast because i want my car ready for the next cruise because it will be my first. any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

congrats and can't wait to see the GTR. i do love my skyline alot but i love all cars, i like some holdens and some i dont and that goes for ford to but the only v8 i want is either a xy gtho or a 68 mustang they r my fav. anyway its going to be the longest wait ever but think about the first time you fire it up.

i cant get the nismo's now they will only drop it 10mm and thats just a waste of money also i cant get the fronts now the bastard sold them on me lol. anyway back to square one and continue my search. ps. im a member now woohoo.

i knew i should have looked i guess i shouldn't have assumed, anyway i got my money back as well so it wasnt that bad. oh crap i just remembered i have r34 turbo brakes would that change the suspension as well? anyway i can get some good nismo rears as i have already got the front. are r33 gtr nismo rears be ok for my car?

ok i own a 4 door r34 25gt i got some tein suspension ready to put on until i found out my rears are the fork design, even though i have read everywhere that only the turbo and the gt-v versions have the fork design so why the hell does mine? Also i have found some nismo rear suspension but they are from a r33 gtr so they will fit but would it work ok or not that well on a 4 door. only reason i ask is because people say dont get r33 gtr fronts because the fronts weigh more and it wont work. also i can get front nismo suspension so thats why i was wondering with the rear nismo items. also do you know any good set up as im only looking to lower it for street use as its my daily driver so im guessing ill need springs an upgraded shockers to go with them. thanks in advance.

i did send a pm as well but ill write it hear as well because i have one more thing to ask so i am very interested in the nismo suspension because i have the nismo fronts and i have found it very difficult to track down rears with the fork design.roughly from stock how much lower would it drop it is it roughly 25-30mm or more? also just wondering roughly how many km they have done and are they comfortable and not too stiff as my car is a daily driver. sorry about all the questions. thanks. scott

i have the same problem but mine is an r34 tiptronic so i wouldnt have a clue what it is.

i forgot to add i saw a m5 and m3 a couple of days ago the m5 was the newer one but the m3 was the earlier model. it had that nice yellow green colour.

ive always found funny that how australian v8's get bigger and bigger to make more power while the euro cars keep smaller ones and still can make more power out of them. Thats new technology for you something that australia wont use for many years to come.

thats what i forgot to add i was in watergardens and saw a new gt500 with the side exhausts and the elanor rims and it looked awsome, i would have got a photo but i left my phone at home.
