Hey, Does anyone know another way of setting my timing to 15 degrees without a timing light? I think my timing is out, can I check the timing without a timing light? My car is pinging a bit and alot when not fully operational temperature. Thanks guys

I have platinums I will check the ecu out. Maybe I will; just reset it. It seems strange that i stick it once it pings but a minute later after stopping and sticking it again it works fine.

Sorry buddy, What I meant is that I stick it and it pings and when I stop at the lights its ok, Then i stick it again and there is NO more pinging. Throttle body already been cleaned. How do I adjust timing?? So it only happen the first tinme I stick and after that I stick it again and it is ok. Thanks for your help

How do I knock back the timing. I dont think it is the heat because when I give full throttle the first time it pings and when I stop at the lights I will give full throttle again and then its ok. Hi all, I have r33 with no mods except K&N filter. When I am driving and give it full throttle at about 4500 to 5000 rpm and onwards it starts to ping. Why is that? So I back off and then go full throttle again and it doesn't ping, why is this so. Seems like the ecu does not adjust quickly anough and running too lean or something I do not know just a guess. This will happen in 1st 2nd an third. Why is it doing this. i have done the timing belt and not sure if started after that was installed. Any hint would be great thanks guys JT

Hey all, I Went to take off quickly with revs up and let the clutch out it toook off , then i changed to second thinking i was wheel spinning , I still wasnt moving and went to third, and still just rolling. The clutch was not engaging properly and the motor revving high. When i go hard the clutch seems ok now. Damn Hydraulic clutches. Has anyone had this problem? Maybe I should change the hydraulic oil. Is there an inspection hole for the clutch to be viewed? JT

Hi all, How much for a rear muffler? What brand should I go for? I have a HKS super Drager but it is stuffed as I have already written about it but no one seemed to help. The baffles are no good and centre pipe has dropped and blocking the exhaust fumes. PLEASE help JT

Hi alll, My rear muffler is stuffed. The pipe that goes through the centre of the muffler is broken and no longer lines up to where it joins on the front side of the muffler. So I think I am loosing peroformance because the fumes are coming through a small hole b/c of the centre pipe dropping. Anyway should I just rip it out for now? buy a new muffler? Or can i fix this muffler by exhaust place? The muffler is a HKS super drager i think. What should I do? thanks

Hi all, RE: Nissan 1995 Skyline GTS -t Series 1.5 Can you install a boost controller yourself? Like a hi - low switch? Or can I install a bleed valve? What is the difference? What else do I have to modify to make this run properly and not dangerously, apart from a boost guage. Someone wrote in the forum that if you boost the car over 9 psi you have to change the computer, Is this correct? I was looking to boost to around 10 -11 psi. What recommendations do you all have? I am willing to give it a go myself. Johnathon

the spacers hold the speaker better and will sound better. A little bit fiddly but well worth it as said b4. Mine look the same as the pic above. But my speakers are not as high, probably how the sony speakers are not sure

you dont have to cut the steel. You have to custom make spacers 19mm and then put them under the parcel shelf. Then cut new holes in the parcel shelf. You will need new carpet for it. I done it and my shelf looks original with 6 X 9 speakers installed. The speakers have to go 45 degrees though. Otherwise you will be cutting metal.
