Yeah the search bar isn't the greatest but, it's not only poncams I was looking for it's just if someone knew about std neo cams running in a s1head. But think I've found out now I just have to swap the wires around when I run the neo CAS. Thanks for your help with it all.

So I need a neo CAS? What's the difference between s2 and neo CAS? And idea of part number for the neo CAS?

So how did you go in the end? Work out what the issue was?

I believe that's what they may be, Any idea of how it needs to be rewired? Do the wires need to be repositioned in a different order?

Hey, I Bought a set of tomie cams for the RB30DET but there was a mix up when the company i bought them off and I cant get onto them to recterfy the problem. So I have a series 1RB25DET head which had a metal CAS on it. The cams I received look exactly the same (apart from lobe) and also the alignment key for the CAS. I believe they are series 2 cams as I heard the neo cams run shim n bucket. What I want to know is will I have any problems installing these cams and plugging in a series 2cas? I had a search on the forum and couldn't find what I was lookin for. Thanks in advance Adrian THE-31

Thanks Mate There's delays getting it going there talking next Wednesday it should be ready for pick up. I'll have to look into some coil overs once I get it back

Well some good news, I managed to source a .82 rear housing so that should arrive within the next couple of days. But as for the cams, still no lucky.

So ran into a couple if problems, the place I bought the cams off have sent the wrong ones they sent Neo cams and don't think I'll get replacements by next week so will have to go with STD f@#king cams. Plus couldn't source a .82 rear housing so looks like there's ganna have to be cutting and welding of exhaust mani

Weld then balanced? Wouldn't just welding it throw your balance out and do more harm then good if unbalanced?

Just need a few more bits and pieces like Acc valve and water lines for the plenum and few other small things and should be ready for a start up, once I get dyno results or run into any problems (lets hope not) I'll let you's know.

And yes at Zebra said, a fresh motor is better Then a 300km+ motor. (although mine had 200 on the clock)

Maybe he was talking about oil pump? I understand what your saying tho, the bottom end has Been running for awhile with sohc with crow cam, gtr inj, Nistune, 044, some sort of hi flowed rb25 turbo or something. Never had it tuned tho. Just wanted to go twin cam. I would like to take it to the strip but none close by, Im from Mildura Vic but I'n Kalgoorlie WA working atm. Just a streeter. It's what I want so it's what I'm building.

Here are some pics, some old some newer. the bonnet, front bar, rear bar, tail lights and garnish have been painted as i put them on there but the gaurds, doors and roof are orig paint. i dont think ive really ever posted any or many photos of her.

Yes the VCT will be connected, didn't mention anything about the rear housing. It is a genuine ford 3540 so Its currently internally gated rear housing which is abit bigger then the external rear housings, I will be changing to a externally gated rear housing. And I wouldnt say mint OR original haha, i have changed abit on her. Will see how I go with a pic later on. The car is I'n Adelaide currently at Boost Worx Getting tuned.

I did buy a crank collar but never installed it, what is involved? Stupid question but what does the crank collar actuly do? :S

And the car is only a streeter and on the strip from time to time but no track work intended
