  4. Location? I have a internal gate rear housing, spacer plate and everything else needed to fit one onto a standard manifold except the turbo core and compressor housing itself, which can be bought easily.

  7. This screams TPS issues to me, that sort of behavior is exactly what a PFC will do if revs rise whilst it's in idle mode (TPS voltage below .5v or whatever the cutoff is). If you really want to figure out what's causing it then figure out exactly what voltage your PFC needs to get out of idle mode, adjust the TPS to slightly below that and make sure the voltage rises linearly with the throttle. The PFC ignores the ignition map whilst in closed loop idle but it definitely uses the main fuel map. If you have AFR's jumping all over the place then make sure the cells around idle are all fairly similar values and that there aren't any weird compensations in any of the settings causing it. I highly doubt you have a dodgy PFC, it's almost certainly something else causing your issues, you may well have similar problems with the Vipec.

The delay and missing spikes is because of the way datalogit communicates with the power fc, it's pretty slow and not everything gets through, especially if you have the hand controller plugged in whilst logging. The power FC itself responds much quicker, it wouldn't be able to run the engine properly if it didn't.

  11. Not really, sure the oils warmer but it's just been pumped around the engine, so there will still be oil draining from everywhere. If you drain it cold then all the oil that is ever going to drain is already sitting in the sump ready to drop. You gain nothing by doing it straight after a drive and probably end up draining less oil, not to mention the added worry of burning yourself. Take it back and get a refund, if they crack the shits tell them they recommended you the wrong oil and demand your money back or an exchange. Something around 5w/40 is good as said. Number 1 rule of owning a modified car is never listen to the opinion of anyone at an auto parts store, especially when it comes to oil and spark plugs!
  12. It'll work but if you ever get a leak for whatever reason it'll affect fuel pressure and therefore fuel ratios. Best to leave something so crucial alone and use one of the many other points available, the standard boost gauge nipple is in the perfect spot and is the perfect size too, why wouldn't you use it?

  16. So? The extra capacity of the 3.4 comes from a longer stroke. Longer stroke means a larger diameter crank, which naturally needs more room to spin around.... What's your point?
  17. Just get some billet gears for the N1 pump as said. Don't block the VCT feed in a 25, ever. Standard 25 feeds are 1.5mm, some 1.2-1.3mm restrictors tapped in over the tops of these should suffice.
  18. What does the timer use the o2 sensor for? To display AFR's? If so it wont work with a standard o2 sensor as they're a narrowband. Here's the pinout anyway
  19. Combustion chambers are smaller so make sure you allow for this when it comes to figuring out your compression ratio.
  20. It only happens when you modify it and raise the airflow higher than standard, it'll never happen with a 100% standard car, which is the way Nissan wanted it. OP, lower the boost a bit and it should go away.
  21. Does it feel like this? If so, lower the boost a bit and see if it goes away. If it's misfiring then it'll be coilpacks or plugs.
  22. 1 of the top gearbox bolts, can't remember what side but it'll be whatever side it reaches. It sits between the bolt head and the gearbox, like a washer. EDIT: Beaten to it.
  23. Yes, the figures the PFC reads are fine (if they weren't these are the ones you need to make right anyway, regardless of what's happening at the plug). Just have a play around with the adjustment and see what works, I highly doubt you need to replace the whole unit.
  24. Undo the screws and twist the TPS so that it reads .45v when the throttle is closed. The problem is your touching the throttle but the TPS voltage is still lower than the threshold required for the ECU to declare it open, so your feeding the motor more air (and in turn fuel) whilst the ECU is still in closed loop idle control, so it drops timing to try and drop the revs back to it's target idle (usually 750-850 rpm). Whilst in this closed loop mode the main ignition map is completely ignored, you could have 50 degrees of timing in the corresponding cells but it'll still idle around 15 (+/-5).
  25. Power FC does interpolate between the values for water temp compensation, so at 76 degrees you will get a small amount of enrichment with the standard settings. I had the same problem (never got hotter than 75 on the street) and ended up setting the correction for 50 and 80 degrees to 1.000, so the cold enrichment stops at 50 degrees. The o2 feedback correction setting determines at what map values the PFC ignores the o2 sensor and stops going into closed loop during cruise. Any cells with a value higher than this setting will use o2 feedback whilst cruising (provided all other o2 requirements are met, such as temperature and constant TPS voltage etc), any cells with a value lower than this setting will ignore the o2 sensor entirely. If you've already tuned your fuel map don't bother changing the injector correction, it's purpose is to roughly scale the injectors so the main fuel map doesn't need any huge adjustments.
