from what i've seen they're mainly used on highways and freeways, set on bridges etc. if your average speed over the distance is more than the speed limit it flashes you. but i doubt we'll have to worry about them for a little while atleast
to add more preload to the gate wind the road so that the overall length is shorter. only do it a few mm at a time tho. once you have enough preload to keep the gate shut properly use the profec to bring it on earlier by slowly increasing the gain and start/set boost until it spikes then back it off a touch. if you want 18psi i'd start with a set boost of 14-15psi and wind the gain up.
this will change the torque around that area. ideally you should get the tune checked around that area but if you dont want to do that just keep a close eye on your knock levels (if possible) whilst adjusting the boost.
even before the camera there that would have to be one of the worst spots to let loose.
anyone know if they work in more than 1 direction? and what part of your car has to be over the line before the light goes red?
probably from boost building much quicker when it first comes on. the profec doesnt react quick enough to stop it spiking 1psi. you could help it by lowering the start boost and gain a little bit but thats gonna make boost build slower in other gears. personally i wouldnt worry, 1psi extra in first isnt gonna make the slightest difference
after interpreting his post and converting it to english it looks like the cop was driving along (apparently very fast) without the lights on, locked up to avoid hitting OP then put lights on and pulled him/her(?) over.
why buy a turbo with a 400+rwkw compressor and bolt a 300rwkw rear housing onto it? wrong way to go about it, smaller turbo with a bigger (relative) housing will give you a much better overall result.
a gt35 will not make enough boost by 3000rpm with any housing on it.
have a think about how much power your after with what sort of response and have a look around here, theres weeks of reading on here about turbo selection for rb25s
not to mention a crap exhaust, a motor that just doesnt wanna make power and a low reading dyno, which were the main factors for myne.
20det ecus seam to do fairly well with more airflow, but then again 20s need something to help them out
