  1. yes they do, but they all come with t25 flanged turbine housings too. the only t3 one is the full 60mm version, which is the one everyone on here always talks about and trys to get
  2. tried datalog lab? http://www.dataloglab.com/
  3. they're still the 60mm turbines, they have the exducer diameter listed instead of the overall diameter. they have the same 55mm exducer size listed for all their gt30 housings
  4. only the bastardised ones with "bolt on" rear housings have cropped turbines. the proper gt30s with a proper IW housing have the 60mm turbine
  5. most ebc's work with a duty cycle, if you leave the duty the same the boost will go up as the maximum possible boost is higher with a bigger exhaust
  6. exactly. completely irrelevant. clutch fan is resposible for airflow through the radiator, not the a/c thermo
  7. go cut 4mm off your turbine and leave it in the same housing, see how it goes. find out exactly what cartridge you have then find a housing to suit. you cant use a gt30 housing designed for a gt30 turbine if you have a cropped 56mm turbine.
  8. might come along, havent driven the line for a while
  9. what thermo?
  10. i get random knock spikes at the exact point i lift off too, havent worried about it too much. use it as an excuse to keep going through to limiter last worshop tune i got was on the very safe side and started at 14:1 at 2psi then linearly down to 11.5 at peak torque at 17psi, then back to 12:1 for the rest of the way. was 13:1 at around 6-7psi
  11. check the cas plug aswell. if you have a hand controller does it show you anything out of the ordinary?
  12. if you had to take 8 degrees out then its unlikely it was pinging. use the graph function to go through and see exactly what knock readings your getting and where, its useful for sorting out random spikes from proper knock
  13. it all depends what you want with it. just a reliable daily go another 20. if you want some power then go a 25. 30et is a fkn stupid idea
  14. or maybe they just dont make enough power to produce any heat
  15. to check the gate, take the vac line off the actuator and block it up, see when you reach your target boost, but make sure you back off when you do as it'll freeboost if it comes on earlier than your ebc needs to be set up better. if not then try more preload if you can
  16. must be a hr31 thing, i cant get my car above 75. what radiator you using brockas? still got the clutch fan and shroud?
  17. tune was a bit too safe but not bad. tuning it myself now but havent had it back on the dyno yet. was 17psi through an internal gate gt3076 .82 on stock manifold. look at the graph the difference between high boost (17psi) and low boost (12psi) was huge in the midrange but only 60hp up top, with the high boost dropping off hard after 6500. suggests too much restriction on the exhaust side. been looking at making a new dump but finding it difficult to find any pipe and bends larger than 3" that doesnt cost a small fortune 30's arent even run in properly until 500 000
  18. if its already out of the car then chuck a low km rb30 block on there
  19. SHOULD make 300, doesnt always happen. I was dead certain i was with a similar setup, got rather dissapointed when it made 250, but at the end of the day its just a number
  20. which means it'll probably be a 56mm cropped turbine wheel, which means a proper gt30 turbine housing wont work
  21. general consensus is 270-280rwkw is the safe reliable limit. lots of people pushing 300rwkw with no problems tho. its different for every motor and setup. 17-18psi should do the trick
  22. i always get knock reading at the exact point i back off, unless they're huge numbers, ignore them. OP: try taking a couple of degrees out accross the board in the temp adjustment, if it still does it then it can be ignored, if not then it probably needs 1 or 2 degrees dropped out in 1 or 2 cells. 20-30 is probably fine but it might be lightly pinging, which isnt desireable
  23. doesnt have to be yellow. any rubber hose that size will do. all auto shops should have it
  24. hes not using an air flow meter did you check the tps? is the vipec seeing the same vacuum as your boost guage if you have one?
  25. just remember that adding gain usually raises the overall boost too, so you may need to wind the set back a touch
