hi guys, sorry for the lack of updates. i have been overseas on holidays recently and only now getting back on top of things/email. as you all know the trackday course is three weeks away. you should have all paid the balance / full amount by now, so i will post up the list of paid drivers (as confirmed with John Bowe Driving) in the next few days. you've only got a couple of weeks to do servicing, check all fluids, tires and pads, so please get on to this asap. you don't want to be doing that sort of stuff the night or morning before the event! hopefully no one has any problems at this point.

i'm sending the official enrolment form via PM now, but have encountered an interesting problem with this forum - i can only send individual PM's every 5 minutes or so. unless someone can tell me how to PM a list of people at once, this will take me a while...

supposedly they reduce the chance of pressure loss if the tire sidewall is hit (like sideways onto a curb) whereas the plastic caps can/will crack & fall off. they also recommend that you run higher tire pressures for street tires on the track to stiffen the side walls (eg 38psi+ cold for a 17" street tire). these are John Bowe Driving's recommendations, not mine - people can debate with the instructors directly if they want to. Inline 6 has expressed his interest in going on this day - thanks for taking the last spot! tomorrow is your last day to secure a place on this intro trackday course you don't have to have a mega horsepower, stripped out racer with massive brakes and a roll-cage to do this course. far from it - all you need is a mechanically sound car with normal tires & brakes, and the desire to learn something new. you don't even need a helmet with this particular course.

got it this morning - thanks! only one more spot left now. i will email/PM everyone who has paid their deposit the official John Bowe Driving registration form next week - you will need to complete the course registration details and send the form to John Bowe Driving with your balance of payment ($235 for almost all of you). and that's really about it! what you should do after completing all the paperwork is to make sure that your car is in good shape for August - change your oil, check your coolant, power steering fluid, brake fluid, brakes, tires, etc so that you can fully enjoy your time out on the track and not go home because you've broken something.

was a bit delayed but we've got it. thanks! looks like 32godzilla will be taking a spot, so there is one more place available for SAU members. i had a chat with John (marvey tech) yesterday afternoon and he is interested in this trackday course but i will put him on the SAsupra list to make the last spot available for SAU.

it hasn't appeared yet, but i'll check again tomorrow. should be fine - i'll let u know as soon as i see it.

this is a more formal driving course with professional instructors and as such is more structured and therefore costlier. unfortunately i'm not aware of any "come and try" days scheduled for Mallala that would bridge the gap between the general open practice sessions and this course, but if anyone does know please reply here!
