”THE GODFATHER” CONFIRMED FOR 2008 Slide-FX Racing management are pleased to announce Danny “The Godfather” Vahoumis as the new driver for the 2008 Drift Season. In what has been an enormous task Danny Vahoumis has been chosen over many notable applicants for the hotly contested fourth driver position. For the first time in his long and distinguished driving career, Vahoumis will take the reigns of a fully prepared vehicle to take on the best Australia has to offer in the Toyo Drift Australia series. Danny Vahoumis : “ Absolutely awesome is all I can say, I went into the expression of interest stage thinking there was no way I would be able to compete with the youngsters of today, but they believe I have the ability to take the team to another level with my experience. I have to thank the team management for believing I can help with their program and championship aspirations for 2008, now I cant wait for the start of the season and get the development program underway for the new cars which is really exciting. It’s the first time I ever I will be able to concentrate on my driving and not have to worry about all the mechanical stuff as well. SFX have assembled a fantastic team on and of the track for 2008, they have great facilities and the ability to build good equipment to have a red hot go at the championship.” Glenn Campbell CEO: “We had a lot options on the table after receiving many expressions of interest from the driving ranks. Danny Vahoumis’ application came a little out of the blue but when he threw his hat into the ring it automatically got us thinking what was possible. Danny has a proven track record in the category, sponsors are attracted to him with his enigmatic personality and lets face it when you are developing new equipment there is no better person out there that can give good feed back and has the mechanical knowledge like he does. DRIVER EOI APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED. To the amazement of team management Slide-FX Racing has received many good applications for the vacant drivers position for the 2008 season. As of the 22 Sept 2007 the application process is now closed and will now move to the next phase of short listing the applications received thus far. The process will now take a further 3 weeks to evaluate the information provided by the hotly contested position in an effort to find the right individual. A few standout applicants have emerged in the initial stages which has made the short list process a lot easier. CEO Glenn Campbell “I will be honest and say we didn’t think we were going to get some many applications for one position. Many good proposals have been put to us and now it’s a matter of connecting the dots and finding the right person. I know there will be plenty of disappointed people out there, but all I can say is thankyou for taking the time to apply and we hope this has helped the people who miss out in the process to secure a position on offer in the future.” Stay tuned for further developments…………………..

SLIDE-FX RACING TO EXPAND IN 2008 Slide-FX Pty Ltd CEO Glenn Campbell will be expanding operations in 2008 with the introduction of a fourth team car to compete in the Drift Australia series. “With the success of the team during 2007, SFX Racing is in a position now to move forward with our expansion plans, we have been considering for a while that it would complete the team having a fourth car and our current sponsors are happy with the expansion, so everything is in place now to make it happen.” Commented an enthusiastic Glenn Campbell. With what is already a big operation in the Drift Australia paddock SFX Racing will be seeking expressions of interest from the current driver ranks to fill the fourth drivers position in the team. SFX Racing is seeking the services of a motivated individual with good industry contacts, and who is a team orientated player especially within the current framework of Slide-FX Pty Ltd. If you already have a vehicle and sponsors they will have to be interested/able in integrating with the SFX Racing structure. All applicants will have to prove previous success with sponsors and the relationships fostered, be happy to go above and beyond to keep the SFX Racing brand/sponsors in media focus and satisfied at all times. A complete turn-key vehicle package is on offer to the right applicant with the right budget. Previous top level DA experience is not essential. The applicant will have to provide a proposal in writing to SFX Racing CEO Glenn Campbell no later than 22 September 2007 for immediate consideration. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driver to have the backing of a major team and all its resources to compete in the 2008 season. SFX Racing will transport the successful applicants vehicle, spares to all events SFX Racing is involved with and provide mechanical support and development through out the year in a fantastic, cohesive team environment.
