R33 Gtst Brake Calipers Front
J3TR33 replied to dmac_25's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
A year or so ago, you could pickup a whole break conversion, calipers, hubs, rotors and lines for around $600. Is there a shortage, caus I have noticed even on ebay ridicilous pricing. Good luck. -
Hey guys, What is a reasonable price to sell a R33 series 2 1996 model at? Non-turbo, Automatic. Its currently turbo converted with a few mods, but I'm thinking of converting it back to NA if I can get a better price. Had a quick browse on carsales and realised there is a shitload of R33s, all between 8-12k that are factory turbo and manual. Lol yeah I also made a thread about whether to convert it from NA to turbo, which I did and it was a good decision considering the car runs well and is very fun to drive.

x 2 I have 4 subjects left that span out both semesters. It sucks cause all the Accounting positions I have looked at online require experience. Emsta can you confirm if people who aren't a graduate yet can apply. Then I'll send in my resume and transcript etc. Thanks

i wouldnt give 2 cents about the p plate laws now as im getting off my ps in a few dayz, but for some1 who has only got 1 speeding fine in 3 years of driving i would say that i am patient, here is an example, you are driving on the monash freeway, 80 road works zone, you are stuck behind a car that is doing 60 kmh and on both lanes beside you there is traffic and they are doing 80+ kmh, i can guarantee you that the response of a turbo car will make it easier to overtake the car than a slow 1.8 ltr car that most of the new p platers are allowed to drive anyway, i do agree that p-platers lack the experience of driving a car and lack experience in dealing with different driving conditions or weather conditions that can turn dangerous. But too much attention is placed on the vehicle they drive rather than the experience they should gain in different driving conditions etc. Im yet to see data that says a person driving car "x" say a gtst is highly more likely to get into an accident or kill them selves than a person driving car "y" say a holden astra. Anyways lol, not gona get into a debate over this, my final thought is that there should be driving courses that you complete before you can obtain your p's and not just making some new laws for revenue raising.
-
too late, lol, at least u fixed it
-
how is a motorbike safer than a gts't? its people with mazda 6s and camry's who think they are the fastest people on the road and zig zag out of traffic is what pisses me off, it is why i shut them up when i blitz them off the line, 0-80 but seriously this thread is way of topic now lol, if a person chooses to drive a car illegally or do illegal mods then its his choice decision and he will suffer the consequences, everyone should get over p-platers driving highpowered vehicles, they made their own choice, if they go bankrupt they fk up their own lives, there is more idiots out there drink driving and driving on drugs that are far more dangerous than any p-plater with a gts't could ever be, i choose to drive a turbo car on my p's because of that same reason you stated above, being able to overtake a car and get out of dangerous situations, too many noob drivers out there who drive 60 in a 80 zone and block everyone off from driving the speed limit p-platers will always be an easy target for the media and the police, instead of giving them fines and introducing new laws for more revenue raising how about they invested some money in driving courses and sutff like that for p-platers, and p.s flame all you want
-
save the money now, sell the car for when your off your p's, and then buy a GTR, simple, everyone wants everything NOW, well you cant have the cake and eat it too, not flaming you or anything, because once you get to say 200 or 225kw your gona want more and more, it never stops lol, i turboed my car thinking il be happy with 180-200 atw, i have 180+ on it at the moment, and im already over it, dont get me wrong it will be fun, but for how long?, wish i was patient and saved the money that i have put into my car, would have bought myself a R32 Gtr, a few nice ones on the forums with fresh rebuilds, peace
-
hey GODZLR, i bought an ecu and a remap from toshi of the forums, it was a mail send out, because when i did the turbo conversion i had a series 1.5 ecu in my car and he only accepts direct changeover of ecu's if going the mail out option, i would highly recommend the remap from toshi, i am running 12psi with standard turbo and usual mods on my de+t and the power is awesome, very responsive, the remap and a shift kit was the best bang for buck, it solved most of my problems, but had to buy splitfires as my ones were stuffed, i ended up making 177rwkw on a hub dyno with the standard dump, i think if i change to an aftermarket dump and added some more timing i would be in the 180s mark, which is not bad considering its a conversion and auto, good luck with it but i would highly recommend a remap or aftermarket ecu and tune + splitfires if your coilpacks are dying,

i guess people on their green p's who can drive a turbo car but cant be over the 125kw limit are less of a target these days and the red p's would be targeted more, iv been driving my R33 turbo for over a year now on my greens, been pulled over a few times, got canaried for having pod filter and fmic but they didnt even bother checking the power to weight ratio... but mine is originally NA, so it would come up under their system as NA lol, i see alot of green p plates driving around with Gtst's and GTR's, i think if they had been cought before for power to weight ratio then they wouldnt be driving it, its 3 points for driving a high powered vehicle, if cought again you loose your licence, i know if i got cought i wouldnt drive my car, if i was on my red's where i cant drive a turbo car i wouldnt bother buying a turbo car and getting an exemption, but on the greens(obtained p's before 2007) you can take a risk and suffer the consequences if you get cought or get into an accident, from experience you are less likely to be questioned or cought for the power to weight, im not the type to bring attention to my car by thrashing it or doing fully sik blow off valve noises so that helps...

Just A Teaser Of Whats Coming Soon For Dori34
J3TR33 replied to dori34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
snail power ftw... lol tufff -
spotted beza at the beast club cruise and a few other skylines, the real fun began when the chopper came and 15 cop cars
-
hey mate, my car still has the NA afm, i was never too sure that there was a difference between turbo and non turbo, but i know that series 1 are green label and series 2 are pink, i think that a tune or a remap should solve some of those issues, and also make sure you have the correct Gtst ecu for your car, because if you have a series 2 you cant run a series 1 ecu as there is a difference with the ignition module or something, id double check your turbo ecu,
-
thanks fellas, converting it back to NA wouldn't be as costly as it was converting it to turbo caus i still have the NA parts lying around, it can be done in a weekend, i can then sell some of the turbo parts, the only thing that i'm worried about is taking the risk of converting it and then not end up selling it, its been doing my head in for a few weeks now, i dont wana spend anymore money on the car cosmetically, when i can put that money towards a GTR, il suss out the demand for NA's, if i feel like there is a good chance of selling it as an NA il do the conversion back, but if not then im just gona keep it, because its not worth selling it for such a cheap price, the p-plate laws havent helped the situation either, the demand for cars like skylines has plumetted, you now have people that are getting their ps buying small luxury cars like A4s, VW golfs and other cars that they can drive legally, who else thinks that there is a big demand for NA R33s? there isnt many for sale on carsales... can only assume they get sold quick... cheers
-
lol, dude yes u can get a white gtst manual for 10k but i can guarantee you it wont be cleaner than mine, the interio is spotless and im a non smoker, the paint has a few scratches here n there but nuthing major, and yes the car may be auto and a Gts+t but it is far more reliable than any other junk r33 under the 10k mark, it is not ur typical slow shifting auto, it has a keas shift kit which kicks the car out in second if you give it a bit, and the shifts are lightning quick, its people like you that expect to find a good quality car for cheap that brings the market down, no offence, u see Gtst's for sale for 12k and people offer 5-6k, now thats a joke, yeh wel c about converting it back to NA, id rather not go through all the trouble, as the car runs like a dream, it is very very responsive being high comp and the engine is very healthy, im the first owner in australia, and being an NA to begin with i can only assume it wasnt thrashed in japan as much as a turbo one would, im in no hurry to sell it yet, so jst looking for options n opinions atm, 8k what a joke,
-
hey guys as you know i did a turbo conversion on my R33 about a year ago now or more cant remember lol, it runs like a dream, have spend alot of money on it and it has around 180kw atw on 12 psi, it has bosch 023, toshi remap, Keas stage 2 shift kit, full exhaust, splitfire coilpacks and fmic, Black S2 Auto, 98,xxx km i need some opinions, i am thinking of upgrading to a gtr and wana know if it would be better to sell the car as is or should i convert it back to NA and sell the parts etc... have been looking around and there are sooo many R33 Gtst's for sale that its not funny, and it seems people cant sell them even for 7k lol, if i was to sell it as is i would probably put it up for $12.5k, or if i converted it back to NA maybe around the 10-11k mark, what do you guys think, i am slightly getting over the car, and the more cheap R33s i see around the more i get over it, dream car has always been a R32 GTR, something about it jst screams tuff, im up for a flaming lol, but if anyone wants to buy it as NA im happy to convert it back for the right price, thanks
-
i cannot remember running you because i never went past vacume on my boost gauge lol.. if i did want to run u.. you would have noticed was jst cruising along... dont remember flooring it after the lights either...
-
are you the same white R34 with blue neons under car and nismo stickers all over that also wanted to run me last week on princess hwy?
-
whats with all these noobs offering 5k and wanting an R33 for 5k... and not to mention they want it to be "decent" ffs go buy a corolla or something...

Rb25det Boostin 5psi (yea I Know About Mod)
J3TR33 replied to vr4ust's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
if you are running straight of the actuator then it will be running the actuator boost... i was running only 6psi when i had no boost controller in the car and running jst of the actuator... stock they run 5-7 psi... and no it wont be running 10psi... some may argue that installing an exhaust and fmic your boost might increase by 0.5-2psi or something but that didn't happen for me... personal experience... some1 else might shed more light to this.. and you will need a boost controller to run higher boost. cheers
