FMIC and pod filter... you cant have both... can have one or the other... its a load of crap really...

i was driving a r33 gts for a while n then did the turbo conversion for more power... and have been driving it on my green p's for around 5 months... iv been pulled over 3 times... twice in one night and was told to open the hood... didn't say anything about the power to weight just defected me for cooler and pod filter.. all 3 times that i got defected was at nyt tym on friday/ saturday nyts on princess hwy... my car is pretty stock looking and doesnt attract that much attention and i dnt go out doing stupid things... bt that nyt when i got pulled over twice there was a police blitz on princess hwy fingers crossed i dnt get diked for power to weight... most cops just knw that you cant have pod filter and intercooler but id stay away from highway patrols..

all catbacks come with the muffler at the end.. some have a cannon.. if you just want the look of a big cannon sticking out the end of ur car then jst go to any exhaust shop and they will weld you a cannon onto a piece of steel and onto your cat... cheap around 300 buks but they can be loud and drony... here are pics of the exact same exhaust i will have for sale.. found these pics from an old for sale thread... my exhaust is the same as this...Fujitsubo, a quality japanese brand.. twin 2.5 inch outlets.. and two mufflers... thanks

hey nathan... im kinda on the same boat as you... but i done the turbo conversion so im trying to find 4 stud wheels as well and there isn't much out there... the 3 spoke Advan wheels are pretty nyc if you can find some second hand ones.. there are also LENSO multi stud wheels which also look pretty nice.. i think they are the GF7... as for exhaust... i have goten my hands on two catback exhaust systems... one is a kakimoto 3-3.5 inch exhaust and the other is a Fujitsubo i think 2.5 inch with a twin outlet.. looks similar to stock but bigger and better flow.. i think i might put the kakimoto one on my car so the Fujitsubo exhaust will be up for sale... if your interested i can take some pics and we can discuss a price... are u in melbourne by any chance? as postage can be a pain... thanks

if you wont be upgrading anything in the future then Toshi could be ur other option.. he does the R33 Remaps for $500 with a road or dyno tune..look it up in the traders sale section.. Or if u want it posted it to ya its around $400 + post... the only thing with these remaps is that you cant tune them further, you would have to get another remap if you added new injectors or turbo etc.. Dr Drifts remaps are a good option if u are considering further modifications to ur car in the future

hey mate, i didnt have the standard boost controller on my car either and i dont have a boost controller on it atm... i had a line running from the wastegate actuator to the inlet manifold.. but what i did is, i tapped and screwed in a nipple on the intercooler piping before the throttle body. connect a hose from this nipple to the wastegate actuator and run your boost controoler in between the wastegate actuator and this nipple.. and make sure the nipple on the intercooler piping is fairly close to the turbo and it doesnt leak.. there is a D.I.Y thread about FMIC installation and people having to install one of these nipples as FMIC's intercooler piping dont come with it.. il try get a pic for ya of myne.. oh and it has improved lag by a fair bit.. boost comes on alot quicker.. i think there is something about installing a boost controller after the throttle body that doesnt quiet work.. not sure on the technical side of it.. jst read it somewhere

lol i didnt say the axis rims were frm japan... i said japanese rims arent cheap, hence why im going for the cheaper options available to me in 4 stud.. if i had a GTR i would consider paying 3-4k on nice jap wheels, bt why bother if i have a gtst, the wheels will be worth half the price of the car. its called leatherette haha, i guess ur offending everyother person that got these fake leather seat covers from the group buy well thats what forums are for.. opinions, and no offence taken..

each to their own i guess... i dnt c a point of getting black and grey... i guess i want it to stand out... which means getting both positive and negative feedbacks.. and jap rims arent cheap... oh and plus i got 4 stud so my options are quiet limited... i dnt think the hiro's on the pics come in 4 stud either... i jst like the style of them Munkyboy: they are frm ebay, jst search leather seat covers... they are different from the group buy, the one in the pic you have to rip your old cover off.. they look sweet

thanks for your replies people... yeh i guess ultimately its up to me but sometimes excitement takes over the eyes and u end up with something that u later regret lol.. so lyk this i get a reality check im thinking hard about this caus i also wanted to add rims to the car when i get these and want things to match.. no cromies lol ok so considering ur opnions im down to these choices "white, two tone black and white or red" , although the more i look at the white the more i like it and the less i like the red. il be embroiding something like the nismo on the covers as well. maybe Skyline in black or Skyline with the GT logo. and here are pics of the style of rims i was looking at getting thanks again... ur opinions appreciated..

Hey guys, i got a black r33 series 2 and have been looking into giving the interior a bit of a make over.. i am looking at buying those leatherette seat covers, the same from the group buy.. with everything else, boot, door trims etc just need an opinion of which colour would look good on my car... i was looking at getting it either in bone, similar to that red 32 that was on hot 4s, cream, red, or two tone red and black.. or if you have any other colour suggestions would be great. il also most likely spray the dash in same colour, or chrome if i decide bone or cream thanks here is a link of of the actual seat covers... gives you an idea thanks Ebay Link

dont even get me started on spotting cops... last nyt on princess highway there was at least 10 cop cars within 100 metres.. got pulled over once and then again 50 metres down the road and got a defect for having a pod filter and an intercooler... looks lyk the eastlink or monash is best way to get to the city..

i did the turbo conversion as well de+t on my r33.. and it cost me around 1-1.2k with all stock parts and a front mount cooler.. and another $1k for labour.. jst a tip for anyone going the de+t option.. make sure you check if all the oil and water lines are on the block.. mine werent.. had to t-piece the oil line frm the oil pressure sender its much easier when u get all the sock parts frm the forums.. and gradually gather everything... oh and another thing make sure the stock injectors work... mine caused the engine to hydrolicoly lock... more stuffing around... peace

k personal opinion.. but that looks crapp... id pick the stock front bar over that one any day... catch

Hey peepz, I recently turboed my NA R33 and it wasnt running perfect. So mechanics told me it might be the stock exhaust and not flowing freely enough. So i ended up looking at it and realised that one of the exhausts wasnt even geting the gases out and it was shut through a valve/flapper type thing. This is operated through a cable and spring and connected to an electronic thing that pulls the cable. Anyway there is ment to be a switch somewhere to open and close it, i looked in the boot and inside under the dash and stuff but couldnt find anything that resembles a switch. If anyone has came across this or knows where i can find it, that would be great. For the moment i have opened the valve manually and it made a big difference. Im stumbled as why i didnt come across this before or hasnt ever been mentioned. Maybe not too many R33's have stock exhausts lol, with all the exhaust threads on these forums. Cheers

lol where bouts in dandy sth... hammond road? im in sth too. Im doing my Eco subjects this year and accounting ones next year, and im doing pretty good.. but yeh not everyone that goes to uni is smart.. i realised that this year. caus they could have gone to tafe, got people to do all their assignments and then transfer to uni.. but you cant do that at uni caus most subjects have exams with 70% of your total mark... anyway a bit of topic but jst an insight lol.
