  1. "which bank?" Like I said before Steve, it was a first time effort and it went very well. From this things can be done a little differently next time and the day will be even bigger and better. Everything you did was within your control, such as arranging the day, ordering and paying for the food, etc. Everything else was beyond your control, like the weather, and the fact that people did or didn't come. There was plenty of food for all and the $5 wasn't a high price. Good work, once again. I'm already looking forward to the next one. Hopefully there will be at least two more R32 GTR's there.
  2. got it the first time
  3. More info on the car as I was unable to get a closer look due to drinks duties.
  4. PFC's are ideal for street cars, but an aftermarket ecu is the best choice for a more race-orientated car. The only question is which ecu? I would go for the ecu that your tuner is more than comfortable tuning. This piece of advice is constant amongst all the ecu threads that I have seen.

Awesome work yes, post up more info!
  6. Maroon R32 GTR looked great. Whose car is that?
  7. There is one corner right down the end, otherwise the rescue squad will be required to get down and dirty in the sand pit.
  8. I counted at least 50 cars at Homebush, so there should have been at least 70-80 people there. Any idea how many people turned up Steve? I also bought more than enough drinks, but unlike the meat and bread, they aren't perishable items and can be used at a later date. PM'd you Steve.
  9. And he bends it like Beckham.
  10. I'll fit 6 injectors into a Skyline all day everyday for $500 a set! I could retire on fitting one set a day As has been said, do your homework and you will only reap the (financial) benefits.
  11. I'm pretty sure that I spotted JEF-33R in the Merrylands area the other day.
  12. ...and drinks Was great to meet everyone. I am sure that we will be doing this again soon enough. Great location, great group of cars, and even better bunch of people.
  13. It would also be helpful if people brought along some coins so that I don't have to carry a bag full of change.
  14. Actually, it started off as a lowly n/a 7m-ge
  15. it's not a 2J
  16. I didn't know you used the net whilst working at a workshop For all those who have asked, the short answer is: the engine developed a big end bearing knock. It still ran fine but had a noticeable knock, so we towed it to the workshop to avoid any further damage. The next time I saw it was when I had it towed to another workshop and it would barely turn over and upon getting it pulled apart discovered the extent of what you see in the pics.
  17. I had aftermarket ecu, filters, inlet piping, two fuel pumps, gauges, and damage to the body when I imported my R32 through seaway/kiwi. Got nowhere with the insurance as they said that I didn't file a claim with 30 days of the car landing in brisbane.
  18. There are alot of things that I cannot say for obvious reasons, but I will say that the engine developed an engine knock which we initially diagnosed as a big end knock. So I had towed it back to the workshop to avoid any further damage. I don't believe it is the engine builder's fault.
  19. Rod bolts are ARP 2000's.
  20. Blk180, The last time I saw the car was when I had it towed to the workshop after the initial problem developed. The car was tuned very conservatively to run on pump fuel, so it wasn't detonation. I am not sure about the oil spill location as I didn't see the car again until it was towed to another workshop. Piston has also hit the head and bent 4 valves. Luckily, the head will be repaired.
  21. I wasn't driving and unfortuntely I wasn't anywhere near the car. They are the only pics I have. Cyl #1 bearings are down to the copper, that piston & rod is from # 6. The rest appear to be fine.
  22. To gauge the general consensus as to how my engine came to be in its current condition I thought I would ask SAU'ers their opinions. Give me your ideas as to the causes of what you see below. At the least, I might get a laugh out of it as that is all I can do at this stage. Charlie.
