    If you take the alternative back roads, you can virtually avoid all the hot spots and still cruise on down to wollongong. Or could even stop short of there and go to Tawradgi Beach which is a nice and quiet place to park. Alford's Point Rd then the Bangor By-Pass and then onto the Princes Highway and the National Park, then LH Drive and back onto Princes H/way.

    I was considering this run as a suggestion for the cancelled Sydney to Newcastle cruise this Sunday. I drive to Wollongong everyday but I take the quicker freeway route. Might try the LH run this weekend.

    That sounds alot better and is more positive. We shouldn't let these fools keep us indoors - I will be racing Saturday and cruising all weekend.

    I think it's too early to make the call to cancel. Wait until later this week and se what happens. Also, you can still meet at Homebush (or another place) and then decide what you want to do and where you want to go. Don't let these clwons who are acting like animals stop people from doing what they normally do on any given weekend. Could even cruise inland and avoid the beaches altogether.

    Sydney's weather will change so much from now until then. Unfortunately, I haven't entered as I am having gearbox problems. S/RWD is lookinglike the category to watch with many quick (and consistent) cars entered.

    No racing for me. Will have to stick to spectating for now.

    it will be quite hard to assess what could be wrong without any more detailed info. Any idea where the noise is coming from? Top end, bottom end? Definitely from engine and not gearbox? is it a loud clicking or knocking, is it constant or does it increase with revs?

    Glen Suckling went 8.08@172MPh today. Huge effort and congrats. Kiwi's are current world leaders in drag GTR's.

    I would say that Auburn McD's will be packed on Sat night as the Krispy Cremes outlet has just opened.

    I doubt that he didn't get into top gear. I hate it when a car does a great time and then people say, "it wasn't on full boost", "the clutch was slipping" or it missed a gear".

    Well, my theft problems could have occurred anywhere from the Brisbane docks to the Sydney bond storage place it sat in for a few months. But it's all good now. If anyone is worried about having any goodies stolen, have them removed and sent via EMS to Aus.

    Autostyle TUFGTR black R32 GTR ran an 11.2 with the new owner's first drive at the track.

    That is the direct route duration, Paul. For me, Sydney (near Parramatta) to Speers Point is 2 hours 40 mins give or take. Then Speers Point to Soldiers Point is another 1 hour 40 to 2 hour trip. So for me, I wont be able to make it that far. But will make it to Newy at least - depending on the events of Dec 17th.
