  1. There is a lot that doesn't make sense, but hopefully it will all be ironed out. I wouldn't mind a copy of the regs in PDF also.
  2. Good luck getting things changed. You will have to submit a formal rule change proposal and pay a fee to have the proposal heard. Oz Mod class is in a mess and no one seems to be able to fix it to a majority satisfaction.
  3. I see Paul's point and despite agreeing that the correct decision was made to cancel the day, the fact that the club was to lose $1300-odd by cancelling the event on the day justifies his view that they could have waited a little longer just in case things got better. Either way the cancellation charges were due. Personally, I didn't mind the cancellation as it gave me more time to prepare my car more to my satisfaction. But this is all in hindsight, so perhaps we can learn from it and can use the experience to make the next drag day better. I should be at WSID Wednesday week for a run or two.
  4. How were they illegal, Paul? The Jambo was a shambles when it came to rule interpretation.
  5. 1280 is 174kgs less than the GTR weight of 1454 and 129kg short of the minimum weight for that vehicle in the class. Gary will have to find close to 130kgs to meet these minimum weights. Ironically, the rules say that you have to have the same front seats, but you can't take another passenger with you as ballast Kenny, not just the weight breaks, but the difference in the breaks doesn't seem fair to me. Eg: Rwd 6 cyl should be 200lbs less. Also, the non-oem penalty isn't that harsh. But Then again, the current rules actually favour my car.
  6. I've ordered my black on white plates (3 or 4 weeks ago). I am sure that they don't have the border on them. But who knows, it is a govt department, heh!
  7. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I recall something about being advised by the officials that the braking area was still wet and hence racing wasn't recommended or possible. Either way, at least now we know that it's not on, we can focus on other events. WSID street meet anyone?
  8. Error code 18 is ETS pressure switch circuit.
  9. liquid paper the border Illegal though. But which car isn't
  10. Thanks for the update, Adam. It is unfortunate that this has happened, but with so little time left until the proposed date, the cancellation isn't unexpected. Was anything about cancellation fees being payable given to SAU NSW in writing before the drag day?

  15. All good mate It's not that high on the priority stakes, otherwise it would have been on my car already. Spare undies just went to the top of the list.
  16. I need to know when its on as I would like to prepare for the SC event on the 17th December. If the drag day isn't on next Sat, then I will take a different route with the next mods and not bother preparing for the DD. I'll gladly raise my hand to give WSID a kick in the pants.
  17. The date isn't confirmed yet? That is leaving things just a little too late. I was under the impression that it would be the 26th. What difference does it make if the original attendees can make it or not? I know alot of the guys that turned up on the 5th that are not impressd at all.
