So who takes responsibility if the police pull over BEL when doing this (if they can catch the car )? Speed trials will see the car impounded if caught. I could never sanction this as it is outright dangerous. Low end street tuning and cruise setting would be fine, but high speed runs such as this are insane.

We drove past you Adrian inside the Airport, I called out to you and you looked around bewildered I was incognito in a black VT SS You should have filmed the cops on the trail bikes and sent it into the Police Ombudsman Bizz, that Red R34 with buddyclubs is an absolute machine. Big twin turbo set up, apparently.

The organisers had a BBQ at the truck stop behind the service station on the left just before the entrance to the airport. Pity no one was told about it. Alot of the cars were also parked in there. I also doubt that much money was raised as I didn't see anyone selling any stickers or asking for donations. There was plenty to eat at the nearby shops (plus a McD's about a km down the road). I think last year was much better in that people could actually see most of the cars at the one spot.

But the major price increases are due to the cost of crude oil and this is passes on toi consumers via petrol companies. The funny thing is that the OPEC countries are supposed to regulate the production output of oil, and hence, control the prices of such essential materials as fuel. I wonder why? Must have something to do with a couple of wars in the middle east. GST and govt taxes make up 52% of the cost of petrol in Australia. I highly doubt that the govt is going to reduce its revenue from petrol.

Was a good day. Saw [R32] inside the airport and a few other lines. There wasn't as many cars in there due to the police blockade, Wollongong exits were the same. Saw JETT at the lighthouse carpark. Plenty of GTS-t's, but only saw a handful of GTR's. Was the R34 GTR that was pulled over a red one, R32? I was in a black VT SS.

Good post, Roy. Many valid points there. What ECU do you have and what is your opinion/experience with Quickfit as they are one of the workshops that I am also considering using to tune an Autronic ECU?

Once again, BEL only tune power FC's. I am sure any decent tuner who specialises in ONE particular type of ECU will be at the top of the tuning tree for that particular ECU. Their are only a handful of (Sydney) tuners that would be able to tune any car with any ECU and engine set up. I am sure that you can specifiy what type of tune that you would like the car tuned for and these tuners will oblige. Comparing two different cars with two different sets ups and tunes isn't the same as comparing the same car with two different tunes. A (public) road tune is good for responsiveness and drivability, but I don't like the low safety aspect of it - no matter which road is used.

Looks like a very good car for the price. I have seen some in much worse condition sell for not much less. Best of luck with it. A friend just bought one with similar mods, but larger T88 turbo, that was already landed here.

Exactly, Jerry. There is more to it than just max power. I bet you that 33 makes more average power than one with a higher peak power figure.

If the ECU was an Autronic would people recommend CRD or SAS??

ACCESS has upgraded from a beautiful purple R33 to an even better R34 GTR. :headspin: I see it often in the northern beaches.
