  1. Yes, he did both, so the starter had two reasons to kick him out. If he was racing someone else, then I have no problem with the decision, but all he had to do was stage and he progresses to the next round. Instead of taking the easy way out, he gave it his all, no matter what. He loves his burn outs (as did the crowd) and also drives the car hard all the time, always putting on a show for crowd - this is one of the facets that attracts people to such events. Hopefully the event is a step towards a bigger and better Sport Compact future in Australia.
  2. There was a number of instances where the rules were applied when they clearly shouldn't have, and vice versa. However, I did notice that the starter would not allow a car to stage because there were track officials checking the track after a pass. The biggest brain explosion by officials in my eyes was Craig Melbourne's blue Mazfix RX3. In the elimations of Oz Mod, he was on a solo pass, and as he always does, he ripped the biggest burnout of the day (past the start line) and the starter decided to be anal and kicked him out. The crowd reacted by going from cheering and clapping Craig to jeering and booing the starter. he did let him run but no tiume was given and he was eliminated, ironically, on a solo pass!).
  3. Anyone know anything about this car? Don't know how I missed it:
  4. I red WRX and a white VL Calais were stoeln from the car park at about 6pm last night. Quite a number of cars were broken into also. That was one of the first things that popped into my head when I parked my car - lack of security and the field of cars around that would be a thief's playground. I was good to see a few people from SAU. Paul and Stacey, every time I went to the pits/staging lanes to say hello you weren't around. So I took some pics anyway. Bad luck about the HKS box, abflug. Any idea what went wrong? Congrats on the 11.2. Adrian, what did you change with the car to make it revert back to it's quicker running? Unlucky with the break out mate. What was it with some races having different class cars running together? Looked like they were all over the place and hard to keep track of. Overall, an excellent day and I look forward to drag Combat and Qld Jamboree. Hopefully there will be a few more Skylines racing. Will post pics and videos tomorrow night.
  5. Saw a black [R34 GT] with those plates heading north on James Ruse Drive at 4:30pm today.
  6. You go to the local court and file an appeal there. You will have to fill out a form and pay a small fee. This will take the matter before a Magistrate and he will hear your case. You will need to present a good case and some solid reasons as to why you should not have your licence suspended, such as undue hardship (essential for your employemnt?). Definitely wont hurt to at least see a solicitor, but that depends on how much you want your licence. Good luck.
  7. There you go Jerry, a V-Spec II, not an M-Spec. NIIICE indeed.
  8. You should be able to get a cover note. But I can't recall if it has to have a blue slip already, or that it has to have been preiously registered. You can drive the car from place of repair/blue slip/registration or any other place that the car is required to attend in order to complete registration (such as vehicle ID check), but it must be via the most direct route. Also, it would help if you placed a paper over the number plate that reads "TRAFFIC" - this will avoid youbeing pulled over by the Police.
  9. I don't recall, to be honest. I didn't get a good enough look at it. I think he goes to the (damaged) car auctions quite a bit, so might be a dealer, as I have seen it around them.
  10. I have seen a blue NUR in Sydney, plates were...NUR
  11. Veilside USA also use a manual hydraulic TS system in their 1360hp drag R32: Anyone tried the GRID TS Dancer ETS controller or similar?
  12. Too easy. Remembr that it must be a certain distance from the front uni. Technicalities... Where did you put the battery isolation switch? I have a boot mounted battery and my car was painted yesterday, so I don't want to cut any holes in any panels.
  13. Tailshaft is probably the easiest of all those mods to the car for tech inspection. Good luck to you Paul, and to everyone racing on Saturday. I will be snapping away and taking plenty of videos. I won't be hard to spot.
  14. Are you getting the car tech inspected by Saturday? Tailshaft loop, scatter shield, race suit and boots
  15. bugger..so its the GRID TS Dancer for me then. Thanks anyway mate.
  16. What method would be better for drag racing - constant TS like the HKS unit or adjusted factory TS such as this unit?
  17. Ah yes. My mistake. D'oh. Anyway, I will check that name out for you, allblitz, but I don't think that is his real name. Wll let you know what I find via PM.
  18. Both Japanese Motorsport (Adelaide) $150 and Just Jap (Kirrawee, Sydney) $195 have them in fibreglass copies. Original Nismo is about $4-500.
  19. Mate, you have been given a website that actually states that the account that you sent money into is theirs (ILR). I would be calling them up first and asking for the manager. Also, I don't think that he gave you his correct name. http://www.isonliveradio.com/accounts/
  20. The transporter would more than likely leave brisbane in the evening and travel overnight , that way the cars can be delivered during the day.
  21. that is because it has an active Poll attached to it. Everytime someone votes, it goes to the top of the forum and appears in New Posts.
  22. maybe he means 380 - typo?
