  1. Interesting reading...
  2. I've seen 5 schoolkids crammed into a Festiva roll it exiting a round about.
  3. I have heard some people complain about of lack of traction using street tyres, but I personally haven't had any trouble. 1.8 60 ft on my first pass with an open diff (S3 RX7 Turbo) on street tyres. Alot of it is more than likely due to street tyres and 30+ psi. Use some semi's or drag radials and you will see the sub-1.8 60ft's But generally, it is stickier and also helps if they have a Test and Tune on that Wednesday for a big meet the following weekend.
  4. Picsorban! Maybe the thread title should be changed? I'm here, but I will be there soon. WSID, that is.
  5. Just let me drive it for you
  6. Also, it doesn't matter how long after the green light comes on before you actually take off. Your ET is recorded from the time you cross the second staging beam until you cross the finish line. Plenty of cars sit for a while on the line getting set as they are after a time not the win. But if you really want to beat the car in the other lane, then take off on the last yellow (or second one if you have slow reflexes ) The main things is getting used to the proceedure, staging and gear changes. Have fun!
  7. Thanks. i think it would be easier to sell a house than build a garage There are very few garages as it is in Liechhardt, so finding one for $40-50/week is a good deal. Since the restrictions to importing stock cars only under SEVS, importing a modded car is the main reason for using the 15 year rule, IMHO. There are plenty of R32's already here, but only a few that areas good as yours. Well done.
  8. Where can I get these replacement boots? Lucien, car looks great and very standard. Apart from the mods you have done (gear knob, te37's and steering wheel), how far from standard was it? Is moving from Leichhardt an option? Vandals and thieves should be strung up by the #$#!%&$%*!.
  9. I have seen this car parked at Fowles Damaged Auctions in Moorebank not that long ago. Very nice.
  10. I wish. Nah, it's all show. I think the Japanese owner just liked the sound of screamers. I heard the engine kick over today for the first time (over the phone). New pump goes in tomorrow and its start time. :headspin: I think you're onto something here... Now where are all the other newly imported cars' pics?
  11. Richard, it doesn't have a twin 2835R kit on it.
  12. Burto, that sounds similar in spec to mine, custom s/s 3" dumps into a 4 inch exhaust: http://www.fr33z3.net/starions/MyGTR5.jpg But can't tell how it sounds until we finally start it....tomorrow.
  13. Keith, you still haven't told us what times and MPH your car runs Beautiful car you've got there. Do you have any interior shots?
  14. Thanks mmm and blitz. It's basically a stocker with a nice exhaust, Trust baffled sump, Blitz cooler, some guages, and the usual minor mods. You can see the damage it received after/during shipping and the tacho and ECU plus afm's were also stolen. Damn thieves.
  15. If you cannot afford insurance, you cannot afford the car. Did you at least have Third part Property Damage insurance?
  16. 18 x 9 with a +30 offset. Look great on R32 GTR's.
  17. with +30 offset. Not worth it as you can buy a decent set of mags for that
  18. Both Unfortunately, I don't think my car will be ready in time.
  19. Exactly why insurance is not very easy to deal with in these cases. Who's to say when the items were stolen. All the insurance has to say is that they were stolen before or after they were in the shipping company's custody, ie, at the docks in Japan or here in Australia.
  20. YSAw this car last wed also. was running mid 11's @126-129MPH. Then hit the NOS on ran a [email protected]! Congrats. I didn't haev a look under the bonnet, what top mounts were they, always_me? Also, I think it had lightweight seats and stripped interior, not that that matters. 10.9
