  1. Thanks. Yes, I think the front lip was removed previously, but the back Nismo lip spoiler was broken in 3 pieces. I have no idea how Ilasted so long, but probably just kept busy with other cars and work etc. It will be worth the wait
  2. :D:D The engine bay pics wouldn't upload to the server. But it needs a big clean up anyway. And, no, nothing to do with the break up. I have always had modified cars in my garage, car port, driveway, front yard, rear yard...
  3. The tow depends on how far the car is going. But if it is five minutes, then I would say anywhere between $50-80. IMO, that is cheap insurance against anything going wrong in that 5 minute drive. I wouldn't take the risk. I'd do things the other way round. Tow it to get complied, get all the oils flushed and replaced and have the care serviced and checked over completely, then register it and drive it as much as you want
  4. Thanks. They are actually Volk Racing CV-Pro's in 17 x 9
  5. Grrr. GTR is here, wheels and parts are not.
  6. I know, but after waiting for the car since June 2003(!) I have learnt to be patient. It arrived here in March and I finally got it yesterday. It's been a long wait, but it will definitely be worth it I don't know about having a happy life...hey, I just broke up with my fiance 2 hours ago! But the GTR will definitely put a smile on my dial
  7. No, it was Sydney Bond Storage on Bourke Rd Alexandria. This place looked dodgy as it had 3 or four different entrances; the car was left outside in the dirt. Reform is definitely what this industry needs. We are not sure at what point things went missing due to the car being at the Brisbane docks for 6 months and then at the bond storage yard for a week. Oh, and did I mention that the front lip spolier was also inside the car and not where it should be. Also, the rear Nismo lip spoiler had two thirds of it inside the car too.
  8. This modded 89 GTR is a STEAL: http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/?/au/...sp?StockID=2629
  9. I (finally!) picked up my car today as well. But it was from bond storage (due to the broker going bust). Unfortunately, having sat around for over six months has seen some damage and some parts go missing. Some I didn't really care about, some that are costly and important: - ECU (Apexi) - twin 044 fuel pumps - twin Z32 afm's + piping and filters - 5" tacho (was going to throw it out anyway) Also had a number of scratches and dents that weren't there before. Still very pleased about getting the car (finally!), despite the missing parts and damage as I was planning on a new ECU and paint work anyway.
  10. Search is your friend http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/me...ember.php?u=526
  11. I just got a phone call from the importer who has advised me that my car is ready to be picked up. I just need to get the dispatch papers from the shipping company and then get to the storage depot on Monday morning and pick it up.
  12. Anyone care to name the Melbourne broker that went out of business? Reason I ask is that I am in the middle of a situation that has seen my car sit at the docks for over 6 months with storage fees accruing daily. The bottom line is, if I want to have my car, then I will have to pay the shipping and customs fees all over again due to this broker's company going under. This will mean that the cost of getting the car here will be similar to actually buying the car. Not happy.
  13. have you run the GTR yet? My guess would be 11.7@120
  14. well, you should be happy cos you can buy plenty of GTR's for 15K (landed) in Aus. However, I can't vouch for their condition
  15. Actually, I am one step ahead of you My car is already here Unfortunately, it has been stuck on the docks for over 2 months. Even worse, it's not even in NSW. I hope it hasn't been stripped. Thankfully, my other set of mags didn't get put with that car.
  16. lwells, simple solution: just fit the te37's to the car in Japan
  17. 89 GTR gunmetal grey - stock as a rock except for 18" Volk CV Pro's and exhaust. Been stuck at customs for over 2 months.
  18. The XR6T engine uses an internallt gated GT40 BB turbo that runs a max of 5 psi. It has a tiny cooler and a HUGE amount of room for mods and African American HP as can be seen from plenty of cars that are making big power already with these engines. The 10.9 was run by the C&V Performance orange XR6 sedan when it had 385rwkw. It now has 405rwkw. At Drag Combat there was a white XR6T tray-back ute that was street driven and on street tyres that ran plenty of 12.1's then ran an 11.9. Not bad for a daily on street tyres.
  19. Yes you can race with a suspended licence. Just don't tell them that it is suspended They won't know if you don't say as you are still allowed to keep your licence - you just aren't allowed to drive on public roads with it.
  20. If people are after a clean stock R32 GTR (such as a V-Spec), then the SEVS compliance will be the best (or only) way to do this. However, if most wanted a cheap R32 GTR (without a high emphasis on quality - not saying that all 89's are of lower quality) ); or if someone wanted a modified R32 then the 15 year rule is the way to go. Currently, imports under the 15 year rule are in high demand so I doubt that many import businesses would want to outlay the large amunt of money for such a relatively low demand vehicle (1991-95 R32's) under SEVS.
  21. SSR = Speed Star Racing, from memory.

  23. I have seen a white one in Parramatta last year. I think it is owned by a mate of someone on here.
  24. Can you prove this?
