  1. I found my car back in May 2003. It landed here in March and unfortunately has had a hiccup after it landed and has been sitting there for 7 weeks. I should finally get it next week sometime. I am a very impatient person and have no idea how I have lasted one year waiting for it. But it will be worth the wait.
  2. slightly off topic, but I recall a pic I saw of a recent drag meet in Oz that had an interior shot of a two speed auto in an R32 GTR. I'll see if I can find it.
  3. Looks like of the guys (and girls?) around here would have only gone to a street meet or test and tune, and therefore are complaining about the cars spooling after the green light. However, as has been pointed out by one or two knowledgable people, there is a huge difference between an official drag meet and a street meet/test and tune. The whole idea of a test and tune is just that - to test out different techniques, configurations and settings on a car. But when it comes to an offical drag event, then anyone who sits on the line still spooling after the green goes will invariably be the loser. I don't think anyone will argue on the contrary. As long as it covers the standing 1320ft between 9.000 and 9.999 seconds, then I don't see how anyone could deny a car's 9 second ET as being a 9 second ET. It is still a 9 second car at the track. Forget about the street. As for reaction times, they actually do count. First past the line in heads up racing wins. Reaction time also affects bracket racing with reaction time affecting the final result.
  4. If the weather holds up, I will be there to watch in the afternoon.
  5. 50G's will buy you the car in Japan. But you will need another 25-30G's to get it here. Pity it would be only a race and rally car I have previously found a very clean and stock-looking R32 GTR with GT3037S's and a HKS 6 speed that has run mid 9's for much less than that car (and could be brought in this year). Pity I don't have the spare cash. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=31477
  6. Ok, time to buy some wheels. Thinking of either 19's or maybe 20's but they won't be too wide, probably 9 or 9.5 all round. Anyone fitted these sizes to an R32 GTR?
  7. Any updated info on this?
  8. I have been waiting for my import approval for over 2 months. As of this week, they hadn't even look at my application. Typical 'dumber'-ment.
  9. Yep, just fill out the notice of disposal form that is on the back of the registration certificate. He/she may also ask for a receipt (handwritten is fine). They will have to transfer the registration within 14 days and you ave to give the RTA the notice of disposal form within 14 days too. However, I would go into the RTA (most are open until 12:30 tomorrow) and hand that in asap to avoid any problems that may arise if the new owner gets a fine via a camera as it will go to you.
  10. I have the plates 2DAREU for sale. PM me if interested I have seen plenty of good plates, but by the same token, I have also seen some really stooopid ones. Just take a quick look at the Auto Salon and you may get a glimpse of some of silly things that peoplehave as plates. 4NOMNL is still one of my faves.
  11. Also, there is a yahoo group that is quite good: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/gsr_evo/
  12. Those prices are damn cheap if they are real - those are the prices that you would pay for them in Japan. Add freight, customs, duties and that will see them cost above $1400 per wheel.
  13. Definitely hot wheels. But they look like Racinghart CR's to me.
  14. What about ANDRA-spec cages for an R32 GTR?
  15. I saw a black R33 last night in Parramatta with two girls in it. Plates were HOTTEE. And from what I could tell, she was
  16. I kunderstnad now
  17. Have a chat to Herman at Envy Imports in Brookvale. They are doing my car at the moment. PH: 9907 4144
  18. Why would Mario want to come on to here and start a thread about a competitor's car running an unofficially quicker time than his car?
  19. There isn't a need to change a good combination if you only want to shift the power band. I agree with RS500, get your hands on a 0.84 a/r exhaust housing and you will be quite satisfied with the resulting lower power band. I currently have a split-pulse 0.70 a/r TO4 on my SOHC G63B and I get boost at 2800 in 4th with full boost at about 4000-4300 and my car is not tuned properly.
  20. Warpspeed, how much would you charge for this service and when can you do it? I really wanna be cool.
  21. Definitely not the twin 3037S HKS 6 speed R32. Although, I wish I had the $$$ to purchase it as you couldn't build it for anywhere near the price that it would cost to get here.
  22. I do however, agree with the notion that you do actually get what you pay for. But if someone wants a stock or near-stock R32 GTR, why waste time with a 1989 model? In my opinion, the best thing about the 15 year rule is that you can import a car with any amount of modifications that are no longer allowed under SEVS/RAWS. An example is a stock-looking grey R32 GTR that had a HKS 6 speed, brakes and a twin 3037S kit with a worked engine, claimed 850PS and mid 9 sec 1/4. These are the cars that I'd want to import, not stock-ish R32's that may need some work.
  23. There seems to be a certain amountof anomosity towards these "grey" imported R32 GTR's. I wonder why? Oh, look...there are a heap of 1992+ R32 GTR owners in here.
  24. I'm interested. Who makes them and what is the cost?
