    Ash, PM and WB are ANDRA sanctioned tracks (for all events), however, they have negotiated public liability cover that will allow them to run minor events such as street meets under separate (or modified) rules to ANDRA. SD cannot do this due to their lease. Has nothing to do with ANDRA.

    It has nothing to do with "one rule for one mob, and another rule for the next". As stated earlier, the SD lease specifically states that all events must be run under Andra sanction, wheres the 'Plex and WB don't have such terms, and hence are able to run different street meet rules. I am sure that the other tracks around Aus can also do this (Calder, Heathcote etc)

    Actually, the management has changed. The volunteer track staff and ANDRA officials may still be there (as they do it for the love). BTW, the NSW State Government owns Sydney Dragway and leases it to the company which runs it. I always thought there was no point using "Western Sydney" as there is only one strip in Sydney.

    The black JEM R32 GTR (that made 830rwkw) ran a 10.6@152MPH with a poor/soft launch on it's first pass. Then attempted to step it up on the next pass and proceeded to smash the engine to smithereens from the start line to the 1000ft mark. The silver R33 from Birrong Automotive ran a PB 7.7@182MPH. Also, Maatouks SOHC RB30 [GH 0747] ran a PB 7.83@172MPH
