  1. 3.5 for mine so could not complain.... Only paid $80 for the new battery delivered to my car.
  2. I think I have the small battery....
  3. Whats the button underneath RPT Do? As best I can work out it is preset to a station in Japan... I think it may be a traffic or emergency channel.
  4. Yes, it does.
  5. Each day I commute about 40km each way to work. That was the longest trip done in that time.
  6. who made that exhaust for you? Looks good but I don't like those round resonators in the centre position. They really need a smaller one or 2 like the Legalis or an oval shaped one.
  7. I didn't notice a significant change but the car was running a little more economically. When it threw the 1805 code it also threw the 0235 code (turbo boost circuit) so I suspect it was trying to limit boost. But as I have the Profec B fitted I think it was unable to limit boost :banana:thus the 0235 code.
  8. I have searched all the threads I could find looking for the meaning of the DTC 1805 (Diagnostic Trouble Code). Eventually I found an obscure web page that told me what this fault was. 1805 = Brake Pedal position (BPP) switch - circuit malfunction. So at last a meaning. Further reader said that the car showed this fault when the ECU has not seen the brake pedal signal in a WHILE! Very vague but this were the words I read. Further reading of the G35 service manual said that the ECU put the car in a Limp mode with the following effects. At Idle = no change Under hard acceleration = reduced response I am not sure I saw much change in acceleration but I did have slightly better economy. So perhaps the response was slower. Now why did I get this code.... In the quest for the best performing M35 I could drive i have been very open to the idea of trying new things to realize the real power of the motor. Having done most mods to the car to improve breating of the motor, stopping and handling, we had been looking to find a way to improve throttle response off the line. The ECU is very intrusive in this area limiting throttle to 35% below 10kph. Some smart M35 owners worked out that that the ECU reads the BPP and delays throttle response by approx 2 seconds when released. So the plan was to cut the input wire to the ECU. The result was very good with 100% of throttle available whilst still on the brake pedal allowing very fast launch. BUT the ECU once again outfoxed us throwing a CODE and limiting our fun. SO the solution.... I installed a switch to the wire (as some other have done) and the fault code disappears on the next drive. I was also getting DTC code 0235 (turbo boost sensor circuit) but I think this may be how the ECU was limiting the FUN factor but as I have a Profec B installed I may have been outsmarting the ECU. So now the Switch really should be labeled FUN as per Leon's suggestion. Cheers Andy
  9. FYI Charleston Exhaust are not owned by the same people who did my and Jetwrecks exhaust. I saw an exhaust they did last week and while most of the work they did looked very good (stainless exhaust) I thought the mid muffler they fitted and the muffler tip were not as good as the previous owners work. To keep the sound reasonable they fitted a cylindrical (round) section centre muffler that reduced ground clearance signifcantly and had about a 2 inch lip at the front edge. Looked like it could cause some real damage to the exhaust if it caught on anything. The rear muffler had a single outlet that split to 2 pipes. Cheers Andy
  10. I got the 0235 code this morning. Now to work out the cause?
  11. Sounds a little high. Stock boost should be around 14-15psi on your Axis. You have changed the dump pipe and done the exhaust? Cheer Andy
  12. Here you go Leon. I just cut a 25mm wide section of 50mm PVC tube. It is really easy to manipulate with the heat guns. I used the actual gauge to push into the soft plastic and used a piece of wire on either end looped through the gaps to pull it around the gauge and then cooled with some water. Then flattened the other side. Paint black and done.
  13. What gauges? I have * boost gauge sitting just above the dash vent on the drivers side next to the A pillar. * Exhaust temp gauge sitting to the right of the stereo just in front of the cigarette lighter. (made a custom mount from a piece of PVC tube) * Greddy Informeter to the left of the main dash. Can post a pic if you would like. Cheers Andy
  14. What are Porsche tech doing to your car? This is where Spoolin12 got his exhaust done I think. Cheers Andy
  15. CAT.... did anyone see a cat? lol
  16. I would have to agree with you... If you re not going to use it you would be a fool to have it converted...
  17. Have a read of this thread as it has lots of information on the fault codes. The light that flashes is the one of the engine on your dash. Cheers Andy
  18. I live in West Ryde and have a Silver ARX M35. I will watch out for you. Cheers Andy
  19. Try a pair of multi grips on it to hold the washer firm. Thats what I have to do on mine.
  20. It was described as a cable running from the rear diff or close to going to the chasis.
  21. Also check the earthing cable under the car near the rear axle. I remember someone saying this was the reason they had that warning light. Cheers Andy
  22. Agree on the write up. You should put this on SAU or M35info.
  23. As was mentioned above. $1350. This turbo is slightly laggier than stock but has strong mid range and comes on very strong from 3000rpm. Positive boost starts to build from about 2200rpm. Cheers Andy
  24. I went with the Sierra Stage 1 rebuild with bush core. It was built by Precission Turbo's and very happy with it. If you can stick to stock size it will help with response off the line.
  25. I see Ian every couple of weeks but have not for the last month or so.
