  1. I got to pull off all the sensors off my car one by one to try to replicate the same problem. Luckily this did not trip the check engine light so that it stayed on. At the end of the day we finished with a celebration when the car started ... Is this post OK by you CHUCKIE?
  2. First pic was of the Tv override unit that allows TV to be watched whilst in motion. Cheers Andy
  3. The fan you are replacing is for the Air Con and you will know on a hot day if you have it wrong. I got mine wrong when I did mine and and the missus was not happy when it got warmer the next day and the Air Con was almost warm... A couple of wires switched around and all was good. You may be surprised how often it does actually turn on.
  4. You are taking my comment out of context.... I said if you hit some one from behind and and you are trying to divert blame to them because their brake lights don't work, then you are out of luck. What you have described is some one not giving way to you in a lane change... very different. As you found out,, hard to prove.
  5. Doesn't matter if her brake lights worked or not. If you hit from behind you are at fault. Six but that is the law.
  6. I am not a programmer but I am told it is a totally different system so many new solutions required.
  7. The Xanavi conversion will only work Series 1 V35 and M35's (2001 - early 2004). A conversion for the series 2 (2004 - 2007) is being worked on but is taking longer than anticipated and will hopefully ready by second quarter 2011.
  8. No, Not heard from Mark at all... I guess he has left on his trip a bit earlier than thought..
  9. I think he sold it yesterday..
  10. I never said no other mods.... Mods are: HDI FMIC 3 inch dump pipe 3 inch exhaust Runner spacer 3 inch inlet pipe Impul ECU + turbo
  11. I believe all airbags went off. 2 x in the front 2 x curtain 2 x in the outside of the front seats. (the seats are not in very good condition now)
  12. Cost was $1250 Can be done in about week.
  13. I am told it is but not installed yet..
  14. No spare turbo but.. I went with Precision Turbo (John 9756 5757) to rebuild my turbo. I had it rebuilt as what is called a Sierra Stage 1. this basically means Journal bearing, metal impella and slightly bigger inlet and exhaust. Net result, a little more lag (boost is starting around 2700 and on full boost are 3000), but comes on strong above 3000rpm. Makes the car a little more comfortable to drive in traffic and when you want the power it is there above 3000rpm. I gained around 15% more power just from the turbo change (comparative Power Score from my Informeter). The other important thing to note is that with this turbo at redline I am at 98% duty cycle on the injectors. So if you go for a bigger turbo bare in mind you will need to look at bigger injectors or risk running the car too lean. Cheer Andy
  15. do they do and ECU... ? might have to swap the Impul... lol
  16. I got one of those too... Plus the Profec B boost controller. Just need the time and funds for a road trip.
  17. Being smart and saving money... sometimes it is better not to be a pioneer. (thanks Scott)
  18. Hit the guard rail one side of the road and then the back to the other side.
  19. I would not been keen on repairing that car. It crashed at 110km/h on a wet freeway and went spinning down the road. Driver and kids all got out unscathed.
  20. That water temp does seem high. When you have this sort of temp is your factory gauge also higher than normal? I recon you probably still have a small air lock in the water system. It is a bitch to bleed. Cheers Andy
  21. You will need a low profile fan. Most people have picked one off Ebay for about $30. It should be a 12 inch fan. There is no way the stock fan will fit in there. Cheers Andy
  22. It appears all PM's have been lost... Not happy about this...
  23. You won't know any gain in straight out performance BUT you it will reduce the car retarding on the hotter days and summer and maintain your level of performance. I always knew I was going to put in a bigger turbo (although not a lot bigger) and wanted to build the set up to handle higher boost and more performance. I am very happy I put it in as it just helps the build as a whole. Cheers Andy
  24. Not seen that before. Good find. I think there were a lot of 2wd cars in that collection given some of the offsets. Cheers Andy
