  1. Looks great Walf... well done..
  2. The OEM tuner stays in place and you connect the Asuka tuner to it. Then on the TV mode you select the AUX input from the tuner (this is easier to see when you have done the language conversion) You will need external arieals as the built in ones will not work.
  3. the wing is an option. The sub means you have the Bose system which was an option. Maybe 1 in 4 cars have it.
  4. Hi Noel Yes, that is the same Spec doc I put in. The Asuka tuner connects to the OEM tuner in the boot using the the RCA plugs you can get from Chris Rogers. You then need to run the IR received to the front of the car, down the left side under the trim at the edge of the car is a good path and I put my receiver just under the glove box on the left side of the car. You will also need to run a set of RCA cables from the tuner in the boot from one of the 2 AUX inputs to the front of the car to plug the Specdoc. Hope this explains the process. Cheers Andy
  5. Changed the rear brake pads (Hawk HPS) and gave it some long overdue TLC.
  6. my cover is off as it does not fit with the plenum spacer fitted. I think it is better with the cover off as that plenum gets sooo hot that I figure any extra air you can get to it to keep it cool is good. Looks nice... Cheers Andy
  7. can vouch for Northshore Prestige for servicing. They have been very helpful with my car. Nissan Brookavle parts are also very good for any parts. Just tell them your VIN and that it is an import and they will find the part number for you and order it in. Always been really good to me. Cheers Andy
  8. that is a funny coincidence but No. They are not the guys from North Shore Prestige.
  9. Should be about $280 I believe.
  10. Basically.. the HRIII can record Digital TV while you watch another program and can play back MP3 + MP4's via a USB input.
  11. Richard, Sorry missed your question. No I don't remember the part number, I took my car to Nissan and let them do the repair. Yes, the ECU needs to be reset. Cost was about $300-400 Cheers Andy
  12. My vote is the M35 but I am not impartial..lol Fuel economy is more like 10-10.8L/100km on the highway (loaded up) and 13.5L/100km in the city (driving 1 hour in peak hour each way) Boot space in the M35 is huge, much bigger than my 2004 Outback. It is very comfortable for 4 people and all their gear. The auto is a good unit but is a little more on the comfort side of the equation than performance. Would definatley buy the M35 again.... best car I have owned in a while and I used to buy a new car every 4 years so have a reasonable comparison. Good luck in your shopping.. I am sure you will be happy no matter which one you choose.
  13. the language conversion for the S2 is being worked on and when I checked last (about 2 weeks ago) the developer said late August / September. I hate answering these questions as we just have to be patient and the conversion will be ready as soon as he can finish it. I hope for your sake he is able to deliver this conversion closer to on time than we waited for the S1. Cheers Andy
  14. Your would not have had the 18's, they were only fitted to the ARX and AXIS. The RS/RX only ever had 17's fitted.
  15. I bought a Panasonic camera similar to the look of this ONE that works better than the OEM one. Much better visibility at night. But it was $300 (even when bought in Japan) The one in this link looks good but I can not speak for the quality. The key thing is you need one that outputs in NTSC. Cheers Andy
  16. That is the ARX local fitted tyre... Japan is 225/55/18
  17. Hi Nick I can't find the same one on ebay at the moment but it is the same as the one Jetwreck put in his car and did the write up on. They are close the interior color but a little lighter in color. They are a great thing for the kids. Cheers Andy
  18. I was thinking about this problem on my hour drive home and had some thoughts that may help. From what I can tell by Chris's recording and his description, the noise is happening around 3-4k rpm when the car is developing peak boost. The only people saying they have this problem are RS/RX owners. To me it sounds like the BOV is leaking under peak boost. The question is why? You also mentioned that there is no drop in boost when this is happening. The car should normally stop the car over boosting by opening the wastegate to release pressure. My guess is that the wastegate is not opening as it should (remember the turbo is the weakest link of the car) and the BOV is bleeding pressure above the normal pressure. I have noticed that there has been no drop in performance. Have you guys made sure that you have a good quality oil in your cars? I have heard of the wastegate getting stiff and holding open so I guess it would be possible that it could stay closed. I hope this helps. Cheers Andy
  19. I wonder if the "farting" sound you mention. does it come from over near the passenger side? I wondering if it is the Wastegate on the turbo blowing open? I have had it open at times on peak boost (but on mie it was getting suck open until I swapped the solenoid out) and it sounds like a farting noise and boost is limited to 9psi when it does this.
  20. It is the same air box as used on the V35 that has a "power duct" fitted in this spot for the NA motor. Many M35 owners have opened this spot up. Some have been to Nissan for the "power duct" ($180) and other have made their own way of sealing the box from hot air from the motor.
  21. Brendan & Ana Don't you have a M35? Your signiture says a 1999 Stagea but I thought you had a M35. (I could be wrong about this) I am not sure that the part is the same for a M35 as a C34 but I am sure Nissan could help no matter what model.
  22. NO, they do not have an external amp.
  23. Why are they taking photos of his wreck.....LOL
  24. It looks like the Bose but I think it is also a Clarion unit packaged in the same way.
  25. No issues for the conversion system. The only issue seen is the age of the DVD-rom and some have dirty lasers which slow down the install process. The unit has to be dissembled and the laser head cleaned. Cheers Andy
