  1. I bought the same unit for my wife also..... watch out for some of the routes it will take you on though. On my vic tour I ended up on many minor (dirt) roads following the GPS (now called Barbie)..lol
  2. could be that also..... but not a good idea IMO.
  3. If you remove the DVD - rom you will loose all the functionality of the OEM screen. It is advisable not to remove it. I opted to install a pair of headrests that had built in 7" screen and DVD player. Much easier than pulling the dash apart and trying to relocate the DVD - Rom
  4. Non standard BOV creates the flutter.... but be warned it is a sure way to attract the attention of the police and nice little fine.
  5. The English stickers to put over the buttons are available off ebay but IMO they do not look that good nor do I think you need them. The DVD rom is actually a little computer and will never play DVD movies. You will need to input any other device like, local TV tuner, Ipod or DVD player through the OEM TV tuner AUX function. Just remember that this is a NTSC screen not PAL. Cheers Andy
  6. It is a reasonably simple process to do yourself. The TV tuner (with NTSC output) is available through Chook (member of SAU) but he is gathering orders at the moment to then get some more stock. You ipod/iphone can output either NTSC or PAL, it is selectable in the settings. (I do this myself) You can get an Iphone/Ipod dock that is designed to fit into the ash tray from Specdock that is a little more expensive than just a cable but a great option for a neat install. The cable is KEY to add anything to the factor system. I have added Headrest DVD players for the back seats but you need to make sure they are Auto Switching between PAL & NTSC. Cheers Andy
  7. ETS = Electronic Toll System Don't worry about it. It is nothing
  8. Did you buy this car from NorthShore Prestige...? If am not wrong this is a White RX/RS with the Nismo dash? Not sure about how to control the MD but I will have a look through the manuals that I have and see if I can find any information. Cheers Andy
  9. looks like problem solved
  10. as long as it is a boomerang I can lend you mine..
  11. I had the same thing with my M35 stagea. Had a 50% increase on the renewal. Rang them and they told me they were not look to insure imports any more. Must be someone crashing their imports that makes insuring them not worth while. Other factors can be the cost of parts for repairs. I know headlighs for the Stagea are about $2k each from Nissan. Cheers Andy
  12. congrats Richard... See you next week. Cheers Andy
  13. I can confirm that the Greddy Informeter Touch works with thw V35. This may not help your questions but it will give you some guidence. Cheers Andy
  14. Dale, the return line is the one on the passenger side of the radiator on the lower edge of the radiator. Cheers Andy
  15. Hi Andrew I have the HDI intercooler and found the best place for the Trans cooler was just above the FMIC on a 30% angle back to fit in behind the grill. There is a good Trans Cooler on Ebay that Jetwreck is using in the same position. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT This is the link to the thread that shows my trans cooler above the FMIC. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Hd....html&st=60 Cheers Andy
  16. have you tried to get the Error code on the Informeter? There is in the Setup menu a DTC option which brings up the code.
  17. the Bilstein kit for the M35 will give you 40-50mm drop and a great ride. Hard to find now out of Japan but not impossible. There are many other brands that offer kits for the M35. Check Import Monster..
  18. that was me,, and i knew it was you Chris with those headlights
  19. This sounds similar to a problem I had a year or so ago. The Fault was the Cam sensor on the right bank. It was a recall item in Japan has also been a problem on local Pulsars that use the same cam sensor. My car would literally stall at any speed and would have to restart the motor. This ma not be the same as it sounds like you car is not stalling but it does sound like the computer is cutting the engine because it detects some sort of fault is shutting down ti protect the motor. Good luck finding the error Cheers Andy
  20. I believe the information is almost all ready to send to you.
  21. If you miss out on this one have a look at the link below. I could not recomend a dealer more than this as I am sure many other people on here will also. Nothing but good experience. M35 Stagea This car looks great with exhaust and Nismo cluster. I think you can be confident that that Km's from this dealer are genuine. Cheers Andy
  22. I can tell you from experience that my M35 is almost perfect as a daily driver and still lots of power and very easy to drive. May not be as fast as some but I beat those same cars off the line by a long way. My list of mods are: Dump pipe from turbo with full 3" exhaust Plenum spacer HDI Front mount Transmission cooler Bilstein shocks Selby swaybars R32 front calipers with slotted rotors In terms of the best bang for your buck, the swaybars were the best value by far and the biggest improvement to handling. The Bilsteins are also great. The Exhaust improved the mid range and the dump pipe made an even bigger difference. The Plenum spacer improves low rev performance and smooths out the performance so it feels less laggy. It also improves fuel economy which is a real benefit in this car. The Front mount will come into it's own in summer when the car wants to retard the timing due to the heat. A turbo rebuild is on the cards but will be the stock dimensions with ballbearing and metal impella and WHEN the ECU reflash is ready that will be done also. Good luck Cheers Andy
  23. Not sure I know any answer to your problem but I can tell you that at redline the MAF is putting out between 4.77 - 4.88v, even on a stock car. So the MAF is only just capable of keeping up with the motor. I am not sure that even going to 5.0v is going to ruin your MAF but what it should do is create a big back fire as the motor retards and dumps fuel into the cylinder to protect the motor. Cheers Andy
  24. you still having a problem.... you should come around one weekend and we can see if we can sort it out for you Cheers Andy
  25. We have just fitted up a Greedy Informeter to some cars and the interesting figure is the Max Throttle percentage we get. We can not get over 82% throttle!! No idea why but is obviously a major limiter. One thought is that the ECU manages the throttle to limit the torque that get to the gearbox. Cheers Andy
