  1. I have a pinout diagram but only in Japanese. Let me know if that is of any use. Cheers Andy
  2. yes, Series 2 started early in 2004 (but not sure of the exact date). All the series 2 have the updated center console where the gear shift leaver has the leather cover over the selector. Cheers Andy
  3. I don't have any more recent updates on how the development of the series 2 V35 language conversion is going. I would hope he is still working on the solution and he will have it ready soon. Cheers Andy
  4. Spotted bbenny in his Blue M35 this morning in Forrestvile crossing the Wakehurst parkway. Cheers Andy
  5. mmm.. not sure if there is a wire like this but my alarm locks all the doors. So somehow it is possible to set up.
  6. Not tried the gps on the screen yet, still learning to work the phone. I will try tonight. The phone is very stable as it has a very positive engagement onto the dock. The dock is also stuck down so no movement sideways. There is a small amount of movement as you go to push the screen of the unit forward but it is only small. Not something that will let the iphone fall out, just the ash tray closing slightly. Cheers Andy
  7. I received my Specdock Ipod/Iphone dock for my car last week. The process of ordering from this company was very easy and great communication. Even on the basic US International post it only took 5 days to make it to Australia from the postal date. The first image is of the unit and the wires with the Iphone I am using. To install the unit you need to remove the center console. To do this put the car in N and disconnect the battery. You will need to remove all the cables at the joiners to take the console out of the car to work on as you will need to cut a hole in the bottom of the ash tray. When you cut the hole in bottom of the ash tray, first remove the insert, then mark out where you want to cut. (hole size 27mm x 17mm for the RCA pluged Specdoc). I cut the hole on the right side of the ash tray but if you do the same be careful of the wires for the ash tray light. In the end I removed the ash tray light as I figured it would be of no use to me in the future anyway. If you cut your hole in the left there is less chance of damaging the light (as I did, doh). You do need a power source for the unit and an earth point (this is just a point of metal to attach the negative). The power source could be the cigarette lighter but I used a power source I have off the back of the stereo. I already had an RCA (audio + video) installed from the TV tuner to the front of the car so it was just a matter of connecting the three leads to the previously installed leads. The final result is a very neat install for the Ipod/Iphone dock that charges the unit and plays both audio and video through the factor stereo and monitor. When not in use the ash tray closes and hides any viability of the install.
  8. Spotted Nick just outside the West Ryde Hotel around 6.30pm. Probably just leaving the SAU AGM. Also spotted Shell (I think) in a Yell R34 coupe with ACT plates at the same time. Cheers Andy
  9. At least they weren't the cars running the RED light.......
  10. Be careful... I had a similar problem on my M35 except the interior light kept blowing. So replaced it with a Led globe. Then the fuse blew, replaced that and sparks and smoke and net result.... semi blown Body Control Module (BCM) so a few more electronics don't work now. I am pretty sure I have accidentally stripped the coating off a wire and it has earthed causing the blown BCM. Work backward to when you last did some work on the car and see if you can find any marked wires. Cheers Andy
  11. I have just fitted a Greedy Informeter Touch on my M35 and works perfectly. (first device out of may tried that worked) Should work fine on a V35 also. (I will test it tomorrow) Cheers Andy
  12. fitted a Greedy Informeter Touch...... and it works perfectly on the M35... at last something that tells me what the beast is doing..
  13. I have the R32 GTR rotors on my M35 and they fit perfectly. I had to remove a small raised section on the lower side of the hub arm, about 2mm thick and the size of a regular dice.
  14. or maybe driving a U-Boat....LOL mind you, I am seeing 4.7v on the AFM with the stock turbo (but not much else is stock) Cheers Andy
  15. Just spoke to Ben and it sounds like a different problem. Cheers Andy
  16. Do you know what boost you are getting when you hear this noise? I ask as I have had a strange noise and it tuned out to be the Wastegate sticking open and this increased the noise at the turbo. The cause turned out to be the solenoid sticking and this kept the wastegate open. The result is you only have a max of 9psi when this happens. In my case it was fixed by stopping and turn off the ingnition and problem fixed , till the next time. Seemed to occur when under full throttle for more than 5-10 seconds. Cheers Andy
  17. not sure what you mean by DB code? The Hawk brake code is HB30F.559 (rear) It is unlikely you would need to replace the pads on the service brake. They can be tightened up with the wheel removed. There are instruction on how to do this in the G35 service manual. Cheers Andy
  18. If you get the restrictor out, you don't need to linish the banjo. It is one or the other.
  19. Yes, remove the restrictor in the R32/R33 calipers so that you can screw the standard M35 banjo straight in. When you look into the point where the banjo screws in you will see the reducer just sitting in there. Comes out the the described method. Otherwise you need to cut off the end of your banjo that has a restricting end. Cheers Andy
  20. So it worked alright with the radio you have on your car? Are you able to play video? I get mine this week.
  21. Spotted a Blue M35 250RS with the aero kit in Darling Harbor parking today under hall 1.
  22. I am not sure if you will be able to change the time on the clock because if it is like the M35, the clock is determined by GPS and has an inbuilt +/- to the GMT based on a Japanese time zone. Cheers Andy
  23. Looks great.... Let us know how you go with gearbox temps. I know when I use my car in manual mode the gearbox gets a bit too warm (and that is with an additional Trans cooler) and starts to not select 2nd when I shift down. Also tends to not engage 2nd until on the throttle. Have you reversed the gear box selection direction? Cheers Andy
  24. There is a software developer in Russia who has said he can create a firmware upgrade for the V36 system that will change the screen language to English. He has estimated that it would be ready by the end of this year. Cheers Andy
