  1. We only convert the screen language. We are waiting on some one to work out how to make an Australian disc for the maps that will work in the system. Once that is done it should be a fully functioning GPS system as al the menus in the system are converted. The DVD is a DVD rom and will never play movies. Cheers Andy
  2. I don't why you are complaining, try insuring in Sydney with no garage.....LOL Shannon's seem to ne the best rates and Just Car are not as cheap but have a broader insurance basis. Good luck. Cheers Andy
  3. No we don't touch the buttons. But we change the language on the screen. have a look at the video on youtube, I will send you a PM with the cost. Cheers Andy
  4. welcome on board.. You should have lots of threads to read on SAU about the M35. Cheers Andy
  5. I just got back on Tuesday morning. I was due to be there for 2 more days but my wife was stressed looking after the little ones so I thought 2 days less is better than not getting to go next year. Bridger Bowl was pretty damn extreme. lots of hiking to higher and more extreme runs.
  6. Looks good Andrew. I just got back from a week in Montana and whilst not the coldest winter plenty of snow on the ground and around. Check this out. View out the window of the car in town, and view out my back door.
  7. use that Google search...... http://www.turbo-kits.com/g35_turbo_kits.html
  8. Are any of you guys interested in getting the Language conversion done at the meet? If a few of you want to get it done at the same time I can knock off a few dollars off the install price. Let me know if you are interested so I can make sure I have the time free. I will try to disguise my m35 so it does not stand out too much........ lol
  9. Hi Ben I got NGK irredium plugs from, http://www.performancelub.com/NGK%20pricelist.htm. This guy delivers very fast and at a reasonable price from Melbourne. At $14 a plug it is good value for Irridium. You can use either of these 2 plugs. LFR5AIX-11, LFR6AIX-11. I used the 6 plug as this is temp rating. Cheers Andy
  10. Hi Fraser Yes, we are going ahead with Auto sound but we just ran out of time before I left to finalise all the details. I will be back on the 11th and I will make sure that we finalise all the details as soon as we can. Cheers Andy
  11. not really.... that idle is too low so some thing is out. If the idle does not set between 600-700 then the computer does not remember the idle setting and other factors are dictating your idle. 2 factors caused the same problem on my car but I can not tell you which one was more important to fix but both have their issues. 1) the throttle body had a build up of residue that meant when you back off the throttle the butterfly closing meant no air could get around it and the motor stalled as per yours. The butterfly on these cars do not close 100% as there is no idle bypass. So clean your throttle body and I think you will find this stops the revs dipping. The second issue is why your idle is not set correctly. When your throttle body is like this and closes 100% when backed off the car draws air from the only other available source which is the PCV valve. I believe this causes them to not work correctly and they are a part that is meant to be replaced around the 80k mark. If the PCV allows air to pass through it al low revs it stuffs up the idle setting. If you want to test if the PCV is faulty you can disconnect the PCV from the manifold, block off both ends, and try to reset the idle. If this gets the idle set correctly (600-700 rpm) then you know the PCV is faulty and you can order a new one. I hope this helps. Cheers Andy
  12. there is also an easy upgrade to use R32GTR calipers and rotors.
  13. I had similar problem last year with my M35. Firstly your idle should be 650rpm +-50. So a max of 700 and a min of 600 when in Neutral. If you idle is up around 2000 rpm it sounds like you have a similar problem. On the left bank of the motor when looking from the front is the PCV valve. This item is meant to be replaced around the 80k mark and when it fails it makes setting the idle impossible. The item is about $50 from Nissan and can be replaced by anyone including your self. Have a read of this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/M3...html&hl=pcv It is all about what happened with my car. Once the PCV is replaced they will need to do an idle air learning and idle reset done to the car. You should also look at cleaning your throttle body as this can also effect the car when you step off the throttle. I would suggest you do the 2 different things separately so that you can determine what is causing the problem. Cheers Andy
  14. I think you will find most of the m35 guys have converted back the factory Xenons. They are not perfect but they do a good job. Cheers Andy
  15. Hi Brendan, We need a bit more information. Are you talking about front or rear. If you are talking about the rear, Link arm = 350z Mount = Murano. (this is on an 03 ARX but I don't think there would be any difference between a RS & an ARX on this part) Cheers Andy
  16. are your headlights still the factory Xenons? there should also be a height adjusted inside the car. about at your right knee when driving
  17. no, the screen does not control any of the climate control function
  18. when are you getting yours converted Jules?
  19. The screens are not useless. You can now get the language converted to have all the functional menu's in English. Only things that are not changed will not ever ork here as they are Japanese systems only. (ie, the FM system and until a map disc is available, the Navigation system) You can get a local Digital Tv tuner from Chook on this forum for the TV to work and then pretty much the whole system is working. Or you can rip the whole thing out and start again but you will be spending around $1500-2000 to do this. Cheer Andy
  20. I thought your point was they are charging too much for what it would cost to make. I guess if it was so easy to make all these expert fabricators would be making them out of there scrap metal and retiring with the profit. It does not matter whether you are talking about exhausts or any other products there are always those who recon things cost too much and the ones who knock the loudest are usually the ones who even if it was cheaper would never buy one.
  21. I'll take you up on that offer. You get that exhaust exactly the same for $200 and I will buy it from you for $400. There you go double your money since it is so easy. The same as the photo right. I don't see any welds till they join.
  22. progress has started. Just waiting on some more details to get it going. We are ready to go. With Auto sound and Security.
  23. You would also be waiting a long time for them to do anything as they are all talk and little action.
