  1. That looks better although I recon you should be able to get a little better on ACT roads and that 5 minute peak hour, oh I'm sorry, that peak hour goes for more like 15 minutes these days, hehehe. My fill tonight was 14.25litres/100 or 7km/L Cheers Andy
  2. mmmmmmmmmmmm............................ NO. are you crazy. LOL.
  3. I just spent 5 days driving a new VW Jetta turbo diesel and whilst it was a nice car to drive and economy was unbelievable (5.5l/100km on the high way and 940km on a 60L tank). I can not say I enjoyed driving it, even with the DSG gear box (it changes the wrong way in manual, DOH) it did not feel like a great car the drive. Even going up Tamborine mountain it was just another car. I got back into my car last night at the airport and so nice to have all that power under the right foot. It does not feel so slow off the mark now and is so easy to get to the posted spped limit. The steering was also lighter and I noticed that in the M35 (leather) you sit up on the seat a little more. But I LOVE IT, Fuel consumption and all. Cheers Andy
  4. I made my own kit up about 6 weeks ago and I have found it hard to say that I got a definite improvement. I do recall that that at the time I thought the gear shifts were a little crisper but given the stupid things wrong with my car over the last 6 months it is impossible to know what is good and bad. Any way, here are some pics of my kit. Cheers Andy
  5. maybe it is the exhaust turbine after all?
  6. MV Automatics in Adelaide have said they can do the shift kit. Apparently they don't do quite as aggressively as the 2WD cars. Speak to Mike. Cheers Andy
  7. The white wire with black stripe is not the wire indicated on your diagram as the IG power. It would be the wire in the same row but at the bottom of that row. That's what it looks like to me. Cheers Andy
  8. YES, be careful of the compressed springs as it takes a lot of pressure to get them compressed enough. And the springs clamps get on a pretty weird angle when clamping down. Cheers Andy
  9. You have your mind in the gutter. LOL
  10. The rear is all external, no trim to remove at all. The shock is the easy part as the top of the shock bolts on to a "top hat" that sits in a recess and is bolted in place. Really easy part. The harder part is compressing the rear spring getting it to sit in the separate seat for the spring. When Sydneykid helped me with my rear we undid the bolts in the inside of the spring cradles so that it dropped down towards the wheel before we positioned the spring and then pushed it all back up into place. If you remove this bolt pay attention to it's orientation as it is ekcentric and adjusts the toe in. Cheers Andy
  11. Hi Danny I don't know if this any help to you but I have a spare turbo that I am renting (for lack of a better word), so you could get this rebuilt and then just do a straight swap on the turbo. The change over cost will be $50, provided I am given a turbo with in tact housing on return. Let me know if you are interested. Send me a PM. Cheers Andy
  12. I agree, go for it. The sooner the better. Cheers Andy
  13. I was quoted $50 from my work shop. My car was so much nicer to drive today. Thank you also as had you not posted about your problem I would still be looking for an electrical problem. I just enjoy learning more every day about how this car and motor's in general work. Cheers Andy
  14. Not me then.
  15. It could have been me, no Axis kit but lowered and with wheels that look like the Axis wheel.
  16. Could have been my mate who just bought a gold ARX with all the bells and whistles.
  17. Some people have asked what Cruise Control I have fitted on my car. I have attached a photo of how it is fitted to the steering wheel. The cruise is from, Auscruise by Autron. It is from their Professional series for Drive by Wire throttles. I can not see a model number for it. It was installed by a Sydney mobile installer, Security in Motion. Cost was about $800. Cheers Andy
  18. Did that. Thanks Cheers Andy
  19. Hi Pete Did the same procedure and idle has set and on 2 restarts in my drive way has held. It looks like the PCV when it starts to fail stops the idle setting in the range and this stops the computer locking it in as it is outside the acceptable idle range. It is good to see Nissan mechanics understand their own engines. LOL. I know our car are imports but they are fundamentally the same engine as the 350Z so they should know this stuff. Cheers Andy
  20. I agree, If you don't feel the need to change the language as you are comfortable with it keep the coin in your pocket or spend it on another mod. And yes, the longer it takes the less people will want it. I just don't understand peoples desire to shit all over other peoples work when they have no better solution.
  21. Hi Pete That is great news. So I take it you have not changed you PCV yet. Are you going to change the PCV? From what I read the PCV should not be venting at all at idle. From what you said here I take it that the PCV is leaking and was stopping the car set the idle. Cheers Andy
  22. Have you changed you PCV on the right bank of the motor. I have been told that these are ofter replaced on the V35. The service manual recommends at each major service which on these would be around the 80k mark. If it is clogged up or faulty it can be letting in air into the manifold after the butterfly. Cheers Andy
  23. Thanks for the part number, this is what they gave me based off my VIN and it is a perfect fit. (B727A-79925) cost was $58 inc GST I was told Ben at North Shore Prestige that it may be possible to get them a bit cheaper but he as only talking about $10 and that was from Japan. for the convenience of being able to pick it up the same day from a Nissan dealer I am happy to pay the premium. The change over of the filter took 10 minutes so pretty easy. Just remove the glove box and open that filter cover, remove old one, slot new one in and put glove box back in. 6 screws to remove in all so pretty easy. The filter needed to be replaced, it was black. cheers Andy
  24. You don't sound rude. I really do not know how the system is going to create the unique security for each conversion but he is confident there is enough information that he can use to create a unique code. I don't know what information he is seeing in the system as he has wisely kept this to him self. I like all of you want this sooner rather than later but he will not give me a fixed date at this stage. Cheers Andy
