  1. Didn't your car have the stereo removed when you got it? It was probably used for the aftermarket stereo installed.
  2. Unless you want to power something like an Ipod, dont use it yet.
  3. Hi Andrew If you are only doing the TV tuner and not adding any other items at the same time you have all that you need. You didn't mention that you have Chooks TV tuner but I take that as a given. I would say about 2 hours to do it all. If you can remove the whole panel in the boot it will make it easier. Make sure you have some thing to secure the 2 TV ariel cables into the new mount. I used shrink cable covers but tape will do it if you are good at wrapping it. You need to find your power and I can not remember which wire I picked up for that. Craig may remember. Chooks instructions are very good and very soon you will be enjoying your TV in your heated leather recliner. (perfect for the Vovo driver) Cheers Andy
  4. No, 1200kg is the highest they have. go have a talk to them as if you want to pay for it they may be able to work out how to do it. How was the snow? Cheers Andy
  5. I'd prefer not broken stock.
  6. I can relate.... I have reset my Idle at least 20 times in 2 days and each time it sets perfectly. every time I turn the car off and restart the car the idle is back around the 900-1000 mark. Ground hog day again. Having read any and every bit of information I can put my hands on I have come to the conclusion that the fault is to do with power dropping out to the ECU when I turn the car off. There is no exact science to prove this conclusions but as I have no fault codes and I know that I have lost power to acc's when driving by the key moving slightly, i am sure (hopeful) that this is the problem. Going to talk to my alarm installer tomorrow and discuss how it is wired to the ignition in case this may be part of the problem or other wise I presume the barrel is the problem. I hope by the end of the week I can have a car that idles correctly and economy comes back slightly. Cheers Andy
  7. I more interested in real performance not the Doof doof.
  8. Taking the trailer for a test run tomorrow. Oh, and wait till you hear the exhaust. Craig's tone but a little quieter.
  9. I had the Fast Fit tow bar installed on my car this week and I am very happy with the job done. The price as previously posted is $490 wired and installed. The load rating on the tow bar is 1200kg and 80kg on the ball. For those that were at the Stagea meet up at Rhodes a few weeks back you may have seen a tow bar installed on Damo's car. That is what I had installed. When you see it from the outside it looks like is is only the tongue bolted to the wheel well but there is a brace across the back of the car. I was very impressed with the way they pulled the car apart to install it and then put it back together. A very professional outfit that I would recomend to any one. Any way have a look at the pics for your self. Pic 1. Installed behind the bumper. Pic 2. Bumper back on and all wired. (and removable tongue) Pic 3. Nice and neat with a shin guard. Cheers Andy
  10. I stand (actually sit) corrected. LOL
  11. OBD 2 is different to OBD, but that is only the start of it. There are then about 5 protocols (that I have worked out so far) that are used by different companies. Nissan are using KWP2000. I am told that this would not normally be a problem but Nissan have used some different logic in the process. Not quite sure how this works out in the real world but it has meant so far that some of the ones that by all logic should work have not. These include: http://blazt.biz/index.php (works on the V35) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...RK%3AMEWAX%3AIT (did not work) I have read al lot about the pins and what they all mean. This site may help make sens of it all. http://www.scantool.net/support/index.php?...p;kbarticleid=3 (where are type A) Our pins are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16. Hope this helps you guys work out more information. If any one knows of any reasonable priced system that will work with the M35, please let me know. Cheers Andy
  12. i,m with Stephen. 1 bar = 14.5 psi
  13. If you can let me where he is and a contact number that would be great. Cheers Andy
  14. the service intervals are user set so they can come up any time.
  15. Not me....... Just thought I would put a cheer in ,... yyyyyaaaaahhhhhh
  16. OK ,, UPDATE I bought a cheap ODB cable off ebay as a speculator that it may work on the M35 as I do not know of any other ones that work. FAIL I have now learnt that many Nissans that are JDM only have a very odd (read unique) ODB protocol. The Protocol it uses does not work logically which is why the software seems to have a problem. There are some Very Expensive options that can be purchased that will work on our car but we are talking around $500 and that is too rich for me. There may be another option on the horizon that may help. I am waiting to see a prototype but it will be a few months before it is ready but the cost is reasonable. I will keep you posted. Cheers Andy
  17. Ben needs to update his personal information then............. LOL
  18. Double bonus,,,,,,, he got this one right toooooo..... yyyeeehhhhhh. Let us know if you can not find the instructions of how to clear with a search on the forum. very easy. Cheers Andy
  19. Hi Ben The dump Andrew is getting made up is for a M35 Stagea not the C34. Cheers Andy
  20. I have been doing a bit of work to try to work out what OBD language and software is required to work with our computers and as we all know now, our computer is quite different to the V35. I have been told the Nissan use on the JDM market a different ODB protocol and the logic that it uses is not common to the protocol. This means that it is difficult to find software that will talk with our cars. I am not sure if this will have any influence on the operation of the COBB but be aware that the JDM ODB protocol is not necessarily compatible with the US ODB protocol which may effect the ability of this computer to work. I will keep working on a solution and I may have one soon.
  21. No, none of us work there. Jetwreck speaks highly of them so I thought I would give them a call get a quote and see what they suggested. It was a very easy decission in the end as they were by far, the best service, best advice (all other shops had a one solution to all problems) and the killer the price was by far the best. A business with a good business ethic and customer service wins me every day. I would also say the same of Fast Fit at Leichardt as there response to my inquiry about the tow bar was top notch. I will tell you about the craftmanship after Thursday. I can not say the same of many other exhaust shop I have been to over the last couple of months.
  22. I don't think Liverpool are really interested as I never received a reply to the 2 PM's I sent to Eman. Bad luck to them, I am giving my money for a full exhaust (bar the dump) to Charleston Exhaust this Friday. I refuse to spend money with people operate a business that are not capable of at least a courtesy to reply to messages. Fortunately there are still some workshops that recognize what customer service is. (now I can get off my soap box)
  23. I am going to test a ODB2 cable tonight to see if I can read the computer, maybe this will give me some clues. I will also see the Auto Electrician to see if he can fix the error in the key barrel. See if this helps.
  24. Hi Andrew, Has the price been firmed up yet? Are you saying they will be ready on Monday? Cheers Andy
  25. I have been thought this whole process and each time I have successful reset each of the the 3 options and I manage to get the car to idle at 750rpm. A little higher than i would like but not too bad. The problem I have is that each time I turn the car off the idle learning seems to get lost and the car goes back to idling at 900rpm. It is like the computer is losing power and resetting without the memory of what I just set. I am aware that my ignition barrel seems to have a bit of dodgy connection as if I bump the key back a little all the accessories turn off. this is easily fixed with a wiggle of the key. Is it possible that this connection is causing this problem or does anyone have any other suggestions? Cheers Andy
