  1. Correct. If I am reading the Japanese manual correctly standard is +40.
  2. + 1. Need to be the same size or you will screw up the ATESA system. Offset that i think most people have used effictively is +36. It depends a bit on if you want to upgrade the front brakes. Cheers Andy
  3. I pulled off the insides of the tailgate today to fit a reverse camera and if my memory serves me right there are bolts on the inside of the tailgate that hold that piece on. To get to them do it in the following order. 1) remove bolt just behind wiper motor. There is a black square cap covering the bolt. 2) pull the black cover on the tailgate (covering the wiper motor) up. there are 4 clips holding it down that just pull out, straight up. 3) remove all the little brown, and black clips holding on the carpet cover. On all 4 sides. It should just come off now. Cheers Andy
  4. I haven't actually measured the temp difference but I am sure I am getting more cold air. The difference is noticeable at the top end. A bit less breathless at higher RPM. Along the leading edge of the bonnet there is a rubber seal that runs most of the width of the bonnet. You need to either cut off about 4 inches on the intake side to make sure the cold air can get in. Or you can do what I did and that is fit a piece of wire inside the rubber seal and bend the rubber with the wire inside 90 degrees so it is out of the way. I am using a K&N filter. I am not sure there is any real difference with it but at least it isn't a reason to slow the air intake. Cheers Andy
  5. Your request is my pleasure. See this link of how I made mine and some pics of it. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/M3...html&st=140 I fitted a piece of foam glued to a piece of L shaped plastic like the other plastic I used to seal off the front. Cheers Andy
  6. the air con pollen filter is behind the battery. I don't think you can take it out from that side though. If you take the surround off around the battery, wou will see in behind it a fuse box and the pollen filter. to access it, you need to be at the passenger side. It is up behind the glove box. I have not done it, but from memory to get to it you have to take the glove box out. There are about 4 screws to remove on the upper edge of the glove box and 2 on the lower edge. Once this is out you will see the fan and I believe the filter is just above it. Cheers Andy
  7. I was at Envy Imports yesterday and they were quoting $1400 to fit and tune a Haltech interceptor (think that is the right model). Waiting on more information. Cheers Andy
  8. The last M35 you say in canberra may have been mine as I am down that way a few times a year.
  9. To put the screen down, put your hand on top of screen and push down. It can tilt slightly so may need to line up correctly before it will go down. The translation is being work on to make it English. There are 6 buttons in the top row. The key button is the one 3rd from the right. This takes you to the main menu. when there you will see a screen that has 6 selections. See the below link to see the english version. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/So....html&st=20 I will be in Canberra nest weekend, maybe we should arrange to meet and I can show you through it, mind you it is pretty easy once you get used to it. Cheers Andy
  10. I don't think he is still in business unfortunatley. I went to visit him and was told that he no longer owned the business. Not sure if the new owners are making any swaybars. Sorry I can't be more help. Cheers Andy
  11. Yes, Ben told me when I bought it. Plus you can see the markings on the B piller and side of the front seats. Yes, 3 point seat belt in the middle. That retracts to the side. Cheers Andy
  12. You'll have to beat off the Doberman's to get near it.
  13. Plus a special clear coat that last 5 years.
  14. My ARX had the safety pack, which is 6 air bags including side curtin and center rear lap sash seat belt. Plus the TV, and Navi option. Cheers Andy
  15. remember.......17 he said.
  16. When in triptronic mode the car chooses the right gear for the driving you are doing up to the gear you have selected. ie. when in 3. If you stop it will use 1,2nd & 3rd as you accelerate. ; in 2, only 1 or 2 are selected. etc..... It holds the gear slightly longer than in D. Jetwreck and I have done it, not sure about everyone else. No ramifiactions. If you are not happy you can change it back in 5 minutes. Bis-e-Bee, stamps cost extra
  17. full marks to Bie e Bee. Syncro = 50/50 split up to 40 kmp/h then it goes back to normal. Snow = 50/50 split up to 40kmp/h but starts in 2nd gear and reduces boost. Cheers Andy
  18. firstly, you have to look at doing the conversion so that the triptronic gears work the right way around. ie, the should be, push forward to change down and pull back to change up. It is a simple conversion of reversing 2 wires. I tend to mainly use the triptronic when got a bit harder or when slowing.
  19. I could probably do either a week night or the Sunday but would have to be an afternoon. But I know I am away from Sunday 2nd till the 5th May. Cheers Andy
  20. If you want a boost gauge, you need to fit your own but it is very easy. The 5th gear is the overdrive, if you put it in triptronic mode it will start in 4. Then you need to change to 5 if you want a taller gear. Cheers Andy
  21. I have Bendix Ultimate's on the Front and Hawke HPS on the rear. Whilst the Bendix stops very well it is very dusty!!!!. The Hawkes on the other hand stop very well and are not dusty at all. The Hawks are not cheap (especially if bought locally) but they are very good. Cheers Andy
  22. I am meeting Ben in the morning and he said he may have one. Cheers Andy
  23. Damn typoo $950, correct. well I guess I will just have to get it done. Don't want to pay more tax than I have to...........
  24. at least what I spend on the car is only costing me half what I pay after tax return. So maybe I have to think about the exhaust only costing me $500 not the 4950 quoted.
  25. ARX also has a slightly wider track front and rear. About 10mm me thinks.
