  1. I solved my M35 stalling problem by having the TPS (throttle position switch) reset. I am not sure if this will help you but it did stop the stalling. It does now idle about 100rpm higher than I would like but it is better than stalling every I pulled up quickly. It now idles around 800 - 850 rpm in neutral and it is meant to be 750 rpm. To reset the TPS it is just a sequence of turning the ignition on and off with minimum time for each part. 1) turn ignition on for at least 2 second. 2) turn ignition off for at least 10 seconds. 3) turn ignition on for at least 2 seconds. 4) turn ignotion off for at least 10 seconds. this is meant to reset the TPS. I think the stalling may be slightly to do with the TPS but I suspect it is also to do with either the O2 sensor or the spark plugs. This is not a definate answer but it is my gut feeling. Cheers Andy
  2. Yes, plugs into the Consult connection. Cost is max $215 for the full version with data loger. See web page, http://www.blazt.biz/index.php Also read thread with other comments, http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ni...or-t253127.html Cheers Andy
  3. so far a transmission cooler (PWR of course) and looking at some more goodies. The kids back to school bonus is getting me a new trailer.
  4. I was looking at getting the OBD II software to monitor the functions of the car to get a better understanding of what the car is doing. looks to be pretty cool software with the ability to monitor all sorts of functions under the bonnet. I can see that it works on the V35 and using a bit of "leaping faith" I would think it should also work on the M35. Understanding how and why this car performs ma help getting the right tune. Could be wrong though. Cheers Andy
  5. thats the place. I know Jetwreck has planned to do the Haltec, he is expecting around 240kw from memory. But he is also highflowing the turbo as this is now a necessity. We should know some results on the turbo in the next few weeks. The basis one sounds like what I would like to do. small performance gain fuel economy gain. The next few weeks will yield some interesting results.
  6. Ben at North Shore Prestige said the a Haltec system has been tested on the M35. I think he mentioned a figure around the $2k mark. Pretty sure it was done Unique Autosport in Brookvale. Cheers Andy
  7. Hi Jas, I should be able to estimate a cost soon. With our current exchange rate the cost has gone up as the developer sells the software in US $. I will try to give you an answer this week. Cheers Andy
  8. I am sure that the software is upgraded via the DVD rom. My understanding is that this box also has the computer that runs other functions. Is it possible that the DVD rom was placed somewhere else in your car? If you do not have the DVD rom I do not know if there will be any way of upgrading that language. I will see what I can find out. Cheers Andy
  9. UPDATE: I spoke to the developer recently and he is focusing on finishing the project off. His best estimate was that he should be ready to test in 4 weeks but as this is new there still may be some unexpected technical issues to resolve. I would hope to be able to have a product ready in the next gew months. Thank you all for your patience. Cheers Andy
  10. not looking good. Looks like Tony's 10 day holiday has gone a bit longer.
  11. The software is updated via the DVD rom above the glove box in the V35 & M35. If you have removed the DVD rom then you will probably not have all the features to convert the language anyway as that DVD rom box is also the computer that controls all those functions. Cheers Andy
  12. US to sydney usually is within 2 weeks. Cheers Andy
  13. Spotted a white S2 heading west on the M4 around 11.30. Nice wheels and good looking car. Flashed lights and said hello, and on our separate ways.
  14. Spotted a Silver/blue M35 RS or RX in Station street West Ryde, in front of the servo around 7.50 this morning. What a shock to see another M35 on the road.
  15. In terms of servicing the M35 it is easy, Spark plugs are only changed at 80-100K. Oil; Change at 5000 - 10'000km. To get to the filter it is easy if you can get the car off the ground as you need to remove the under tray running back from the front bumper to access the oil filter. Air filter is easy Transmission is meant to service free. Brakes, pads are quite specific but can be bought from Nissan or some other brands (Hawke). I just changed my front calipers and disc to slotted roters and R32 GTR calipers. this is a very easy upgrade. Parts are not a problem. Nissan will order anything and get it in about 2 weeks. I broke a bolt that the tailgate gas strut hinges on and that was in Australia in 10 days. Not too bad IMO. I don't do the servicing on my car I am happy to pay to have it done, costs me $190 each service. (Oil, filter and full check of all other components). Good luck with your shopping. Cheers Andy
  16. I just noticed an extra note in the instructions. You need to remove the "air relief plus" in the heater hose and when filling the radiator (about 8.5 liters) you need to keep filling till this point overflows. It is located back towards the firewall on the left of the block as you look from the front. It looks o be a raised short shaft coming out of the hose with clamps either side of the heater hose. I think the instructions will help fix the problem. Cheers Andy
  17. Hi Craig I found it (I think, using G35 service manual)! As you look at the motor from the front of the front of the car it is located on the right of the block at the front where the block is at it's narowest point. ie, below the cylinder bank. I have instructions for the removal which I will try to send you by email. There are 3 parts; Gasket: 13050-31U00- Thermostat:21200-31U13- Fixing bolt: 11916-31U05- It looks to also have a line out to the oil cooler so you may be able to follow the line back to the block. This line out is just on the left of the (larger shaft) thermostat. I will try to send you the removal instructions now. You should drop over soon, I need to give you all this information. Cheers Andy
  18. Try calling MV Auto's in SA. They do a lot of valve body upgrades on Nissans. I think it Mike you want to speak to. They quoted $650 for the M35. Cheers Andy
  19. Hi Tony Any good news about the tune? Cheers Andy
  20. I keep tell'in you Cameron. Sydney roads are crap. I agree that is a bit low, I am currently getting 450 - 550 of commuting driving to the fuel light comes on. I usually put in 65-70L. Plus the heat at the moment is shitting up the economy. Cheers Andy
  21. Has he played around with the airbag? like has he installed the radio controller? Maybe plug in the back has come loose. I have no idea really but I thought I would trow you a bone so you know we are trying to think of a solution. Is this your mate with the $400 M35? If so, maybe think about the options fitted and where they may cause a problem to the airbag? Cheers and good luck. Andy
  22. unfortunately no news is bad news in this case. I do not expect to see anything for at least 3 weeks. I was told to expect close to completion then but I do not like keeping you all waiting, so at the moment I am sorry I don't want to commit to any date till I have more information. The good news is that the language part is converted. It is just creating a secure system so the developer will not be pirated. Cheers Andy
  23. Hi Fred, Congrats on the new car. Yes, it is 4WD. Mostly rear wheel until slip is detected and then drive is sent to the front wheels. There is a switch to to right of the gear shift that has "synchro" (this sends equal power to front and rear up to 40km/h) and "snow" (same as syncro plus you start in 2nd gear and the boost is reduced unitil over 40km/h). The snow really works on icy roads. Not sure why your light is coming on. This may mean a faulty sensor. I think I know why he said there is no motor in the drivers door but has is wrong. If you use the door lock function above the window controls on the drivers door, it will not lock the drivers door. Don't know why but that is standard. If you look at your key, you will see you have remote locking from the key, which means there has to be a motor in there to work. Also I have an alarm fitted to my car and no problem having the doors lock off the remote. Sorry to say, you need to find an alarm fitter who is familiar with these cars. Cheers Andy
  24. The change is quick when it decides to finally do it. It is just that I try to change at 5500 rpm (change by triptronic) and at about 6800 it gets around to doing it.
  25. but the gear box can change quickly under the right circumstances. It just seems to be slow under acceleration.
