That is going to be a looooonnnnng wait for the M35 turbo in manual.

how many hills and traffic lights are on the Monash freeway? From memory not many. Sydney is like driving a roller coaster with a traffic light half way up each hill! I would much rather drive around VIC than NSW except this city has such a great lifestyle. Oh, and work is here.
-
I think that is just Sydney traffic and shithouse sydney roads. In Sydney, all roads don't lead to Rome, they lead to a traffic jam. Don't worry Ian, around Sydney all I get at the moment is 6.9km/L Cheers Andy

Yes, I would think it is pretty close. A M35 is 52/48 front to rear. Maybe the V35 is not quite that good . When doing trips with a load I put more in the rear. PS. I don't do the groceries. That is why I have a wife. And thank god my wife does not like my car and does not drive it.

The M35 has a FMIC although small. He just wants a bigger one. You know , bigger is better.
-
Has to be better in aerodynamics than the S1 & S2. The M35 is based on the FM platform (which is the same platform as the R35, V35 plus others). FM is Front Midship, meaning the motor is mounted behind the front axle giving the car more neutral balance, in fact it is 52/48 weight front to rear, same as a R35 also (I wish that good). The design is also is zero lift generated at high speed (not sure what exact speed). Get a really long piece of road and who knows what it will get to. All I know for sure is that it will hit 180 (limited) in 3 gear. 2 gear to go but the last one will not give a big lift. I wait with bated breath to hear what it will do......................................

You would probably bounce even more. It is the shock that slows the rebound and compression of the spring. I would look at the shock and not the springs if you have to choose one.

R32 calipers on the front with the group buy RDA slotted front rotors. Meant to be Hawk pads but this has turned into a bit pf a nightmare so not sure what will go on at the moment. Should go on late Feb after I get back form OS. I am looking at the Legis exhaust but not sure where to go for the front dump. There is another one being sourced that I am waiting to see.

hey.... don't take the vote as a mark against the Bilstein's. I looooovvvveeee the shocks and sway bars and this car is a delight to drive. There is definatley no regret but if you have to choose and order for mods and looking what you have already done I would say make that turbo and exhaust really sing. I still have not modified the mechanicals of my car at all yet. The plan is; 1) front brakes (only because I already have them) 2) cat back exhaust 3) Front dump (not sure on this yet, see how the finances are holding up) 4) ECU tune 5) 19 inch rims That is the wish list anyway. Mind you the kids are at me to get the DVD headrests first....

Didn't you watch Top Gear UK last night....... All about what mods actually made a difference to performance. Brakes = no gain, in fact slower. Suspension = gained about 2 seconds a lap Injectors, inlet manifold = about 2 seconds a lap. Given that I would be tossing up between suspension & ECU tune. The upside of the ECU is that once you spend the money you will be saving money each week to do more mods. Go the ECU tune.... IMHO. Cheers Andy

mmm, well they are but only after you send them your valve body. They said about 5 days turn around.
-
I spoke to Mike in September last year and they said they can do it. They don't have a spare valve body so they can swap it on the spot like they can the C34. From memory he said about 2-3 days to do the work. Cheers Andy

Have a look at this link. I think this is the place. http://www.tradingpost.com.au/Automotive/W...ternalHotlink=1 Cheers Andy

Hi Ian Talk to Jetwreck when he gets back from Hol's. I think he has some ideas about doing this. Cheers Andy

We don't believe it will be. At this stage we believe it will only work up to late 2003 or early 2004 models. Cheers Andy

Hi Rianto Firstly.....accurate tyre pressure gauges at servo's do not exist. Buy a good gauge and put it in your glove box. You will thank your self in the long run. I took my car to get a wheel alignment by a guy in Sydney that is "old school" in wheel alignments and understands the geometry's and effects of changes. (SydneyKid also recomended him) For the M35 he recomended 36psi in the front and 34psi in the rear. He said as most of the weight is in the motor you want the front higher than the rear. I like the look of the standard rim, very similar to the M35 rim that I took off my car and I still look at it 3 months later and wonder if the OEM ones would be better. But your car now looks unique to you and I am sure the 19's will improve performance overall. I am saving for my set of 19's. Cheers Andy

That's A Nice Looking Volvo Mate.......
andy65b replied to Paramour's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Just before Christmas I got pulled over for a breath test. Next thing I know a grinning cop sticks his head through my window and says "isn't this one of those Nissan-Volo's". Even after owning my car, my neighbor at our street Xmas party said that I owned a Volvo. LOL. quick education later and he understood. Mind you all he buys is Holden's. -

Spotted a M35 250RS momo edition at Forrestville heading towards Brookvale at 9.10 this morning. Looked nice. Waved and got a wave back. So strange pulling up behind one of these cars. still not used to seeing them on the road. Cheers Andy

Post A Pic Of Your Stagea Thread
andy65b replied to CruiseLiner's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Give Ben a call at North Shore Prestige. He ma be able to get you a set for your model. There are still sets on Monster Imports. I love the Beard! Fits the sleeper look so much better. Cheers Andy -
That was the cost of changing the valve only. From memory LOL.
-
I checked on FAST and can not see a Filter in the diagram for the transmission. I can tell you the part number for the oil for the transmission. KLE23-00002. Cheers Andy

I spoke to them earlier in the year and they said they could do it but they do not have a spare valve to convert ahead of time. This means you have to have yours removed and then send it off to them, I think they said about 2-3 days to convert it and then sent back. About 5 days all up. The cost was similar to the C34 Stagea to do which if the memory serves correctly was about $280 (but don't quote me LOL). They also mentioned that they make the valve a little softer in gear changes than 2 wheel drives so as not to load up the 4 wheel drive transmission. But this should be the same as a C34 Stagea. Let us know how you go when you do it? Cheers Andy
