  1. I think I have found a site that has "CD2 09 2006" which I hope will have the information to cover the NM35. I will try to get it tonight and see if I can get the data to cover our cars.
  2. I like the strut brace. Add it to the wish list. We should look at tring to do a group buy at some stage. I also saw on a web page that you can get a LED globe for the parking lights so they look white like the headlight.
  3. Have a look at the attached link. These is someones diary as he did up his NM35. Talks about the gains of each improvement and shows pics of each with some links to some suppliers if you can work it out. http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&amp...%3DyCK%26sa%3DG,
  4. Hi Have a look at this link. It shows how to pull apart the dash of a G35 to install an Ipod. It may give you some clues. http://g35ipod.com/installHW.php?skin=1 Cheers Andy
  5. Just wait till I get my suspension and sway bars sorted. :laughing-smiley-014: Just got to work out the best method of getting it off the line at a corner without upsetting the misses by sliding around. Thought I would put a picture of my ARX up. Cheers Andy
  6. I will be interesting to hear how the boost pressure goes with the Turbotech booster! I think you are right about the same turbo But I can't find any info on what boost pressure it will take before it spits the dummy. I took the cover off the airbox and fitted some flyscreen to see what difference it made. Sounded about the same but maybe a little more throaty under hard acceleration. No real difference at the bottom end (maybe even a bit flatter) but felt better at the high revs where before it had run out of puf. see pic below. I got the FAST up and running but you would not believe it! The M35 is not covered! The V35 is covered but I have been unable to find adigram showing that fitting. It may be a case of fabricating my own version.
  7. sent PM about FAST. got it but will not open yet!
  8. Hi Jetwreak Know what you mean about moving around in the wet. I am going to try the sycro button tomorrow to see if that improves the take off at t intersections. Did you find out how to get the V35 airbox intake? I am going to play around with the mesh untill I can get one. Having come out of manuals for the last 10 years I am just getting used to the Auto aspect. I have been playing with putting the lever to the manual change position but not changing gears. The auto will use lower gears than selected but not higher. Seems a little more agresive in the way it changes. Could just be my imagination though? In many other cars doing this put the car in a "sports" auto mode. Cheers Andy
  9. The suspension in the front end is pretty good stuff. Sydney Kid had a look under my car and was impressed with the quality of the set up. I am not sure uf this makes a front strut brace redundant?
  10. I think I saw that on line also and $35K sounds right from memory. I noticed a good looking ARX at Top Secret Imports in Blacktown. See link. http://www.topsecretimports.com.au.
  11. Sounds like pretty good value. I paid $30k for a 2003 ARX with 43K km on the clock.
  12. If you want to run your Ipod through the stereo, there is a neater and cheaper way listed under the V35 forum. I have attached the link. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/di...html&hl=m35, Also found a great source for stereo and accessory leads out of the US. Allows you to hook up your ipod through the apple connector at the bottom of the ipod to an RCA plug. This is better than the 3.5mm plug because the volume is constant. http://www.oemautosound.com/c-194-nissan-to-ipod.aspx
  13. What we really need is the English version of the software so we can read the screens!
  14. Have a look at the intake on the far right of the picture. Let me know if you can source the buttons? Do you have any contacts in the US?
  15. Have you seen the airbox of a V35? They have a piece fitted to the front of the airbox that works to have it open like that and only get cold air!
  16. There is an easy solution to the 12v power supply for the back seat. I put a 12v plug in the centre console. The power wires for most games and ipods will fit between the lid when closed. You just need to splice in a set of wires from the back of the cigarete lighter and run it down the centre consloe. I got the plug from Whitworths and just drilled a hole in the front edge of the centre console box. The attached link shows how to remove all the console to get at the wires. http://g35ipod.com/installHW.php?skin=1&src=mp3car-sig, I showed this to the guys at Northshore presige on Friday.
  17. Welcome to the NM35 club. I don't know that the bushes are a problem but my shocks at 48K are not that crash hot. I don't know anything about the blitz pods, I have thstandard airbox with a K&N filter fitted.
  18. The front shocks are not that easy as they do not have a mounting bracket at the end. They fit into a round holder. I have someone looking into it now. There are bilstien sets available on, www.importmonster.com.au. He is going to check with bilstein about the settings of the valves inside to see if they are suitable as standard or will need modification to make them a good ride. Apparentley a lot of Jap spec shocks are way too firm for Aust and NZ roads. The complete sets for your car are only about $1200 shipped. A bit more for the ARX. I will be getting new swaybars fitted to my car soon and these will make up the templete for any other request for sway bars.
  19. AAAhhhh - Yes, it was me. I heard it but looked and didn't see anyone so thought it must have been at someone else. I'll look harder next time.
  20. Really like the car but dissapointed about the suspension . The rear dampers are shot so the car is moving around over bumps. I don't think the front dampers are much better. I'll give you my final assessment after I get the new suspension. Should be awesome. I am not planning to lower it but if the suspension is too hard to get it may become an option. There are some great parts available for the NM35 on, www.importmonster.com.au. The only other thing I am really considering is the exhaust as I can see it cuts down to 2" as it comes off the cat and where it joins the muffler. Would be good to have 3" right through but don't want the car to be too noisy or drone. Have just fitted a K&N filter but not sure it has that much difference. I am interested to open up the front of the air box as this is done on the 350GT airbox.
  21. I am in Sydney, West Ryde. Not far from your work. I met Sydney Kid, who has measured up the suspension and sway bars. He is finding the best suspenion and going to let me know the cost. The sway bars he will be making up. I haven't got all the details yet (ie.cost) but I am have seen a set of Bilstien shocks and springs on the net for about $1500. I will keep you posted.
  22. I am looking into after market suspension for my NM35 now. Once I find out what is available I will let you know. I have seen that there is a bilstien set. I am also looking into replacing the sway bars.
  23. Muz and Mathew I comend all the information you have posted on this sad experience for you both. Having just bought a NM35 I have certainly found all the information excelant and have learn't so much from this forum. I think it is great that you have warned everyone of the potential pitfalls of importing a car and the risks involved because so much is unknow (even by the so called experts). This is my first import car and I was a little surprised at the unhelpful nature of the Australian Nissan distributor. I would have thought suppling parts to imported cars could be so lukrative for them but they are not interested. Without this forum and people like yourselves sharing your positive and negative experiences, owning an import car could be so difficult. I hope that the compience does come through soon.
  24. I bought the K&N filter today so I will see how it goes. On the M35 airbox there is a slot at the leading edge of the bonnet for cold air but on the front edge of the airbox there is another pannel that can remved opening up the front of the airbox. I have noticed on the V35 that this section is also open and sealed to only let cold air in. Would removing this section help improve the airflow and potential power?
  25. Not tried the filter. Definatley worth a try. Let you know how I go.
