So by an o'scope you mean oscilloscope and I am familiar with the sync splitter/combiner, but where does it get wired in i.e. around the boot inputs or the headunit? Thanks for the info so far

Yeah i did some research on it and found that i could drop the AFM, so i was sold on the Idea hahaha. But i did want to know if it was reliable as a daily driver still after using the map, I.e. cold starts etc. That and in the future i was thinking of a FMIC hence the i could get it tuned.

Yeah without the AFM, using an input map instead, since i managed to get and emanage ultimate.

So we can use the VGA out and splice it in to and RGB + Hsync and Vsync output and wire it into the xanavi? How would I go about doing that? i.e. where does it get wired into the xanavi?

Ahh k Cool guys, Least its not only me, that fixes my theories of being cursed What about airflow meter elimination with an emanage ultimate (airflow map), anybody had a shot at that? Thanks for all the info BTW

I guess they are 16 - 20 yo, so they don't really want to get rid of them? were yours for r32's?

So you are saying we can bypass the oem xanavi computer and just use the screen? i assume the raw video cables are the ones above the rca inputs in the boot?

Most r32's from what i have heard need a bit of throttle to get them started especially when cold. Need a little more info to help you out, like after you gas the car to start it, does it idle etc. Your description is a little vague.

You could always wack on of those portable dvd players(with RCA and NTSC Output) in the boot, If you just want to watch DVD's? But it would be inconvenient to control the DVD Player since it would be in the boot. You could get a in car pc with a M2-ATX-HV 140W 6-32V Wide Input Intelligent Automotive DC-DC Power Supply or similar (so the computer starts and shuts down with the car). If you want GPS get a USB receiver and put it on the parcel shelf. If you want TV get one of those USB DTV tuners, u'd need a decent aerial And obviously if you want to play DVD's u'd need a DVD RW+- drive in the PC That's my lame notion, not being full on techie, was gonna look into it but never got round to it

Hi all I rang Nissan today, due to the fact that I have a faulty AFM on my R32, He said he'd get back to me..... 3hrs later he quoted me 1000.00 because they wont just sell the AFM to me. Any thoughts?

There was a new one on ebay for $175 Mine are shot to bits like yours except the plastics has cracked, was thinking of getting mine covered in leather so it doesn't pull away from the plastic, But i didn't get very far with that.

So It appears as if it is the AFM, wheres the best place to purchase the stock r32 GTS-T AFM? Nissan? or is there a better supplier around? Thanks in Advance

Never thought of taekwondo LOL Anyone here every been to Darwin, So many "gangs" around its crazy, can't in the underground car parks for fear of tyre slashing, smashed windows or a smashed face. I would like to stand my ground but I'd get bashed on site, it doesn't seem to matter if it is in front of police or security guards, they go at it. Guy's It happening again I cleaned the plug contacts and it worked fine for a while, but yesterday the engine stopped and after i pulled over i couldn't restart it so i unplugged the afm and plugged it back in again and drove home. Should I upgrade to a Z32 and use a S-AFC Neo to tune it? Would that work, or is the best option to get a new R32 AFM

I've heard about turbo timers and stolen cars, has anyone had it happen to them? Even with an alarm and immobiliser? That said Are safc's worth the money then?

Hi Guys I rang up a company the other day and they quoted me $325 for a HKS Turbo timer Type 1 (new 08 model) and $27.00 for the harness for an R32 Gts-t (not including Postage). To me that seems to be over Priced, or are they on the "Money" with it, What do you guys think? Thanks in Advance

To make things clearer, as you said i'll explain what i am trying to do. I had plugged a digital tv tuner in to the rca inputs in the boot (video, audio left and audio right). I was doing this so I could tune in to the local tv brodcast and watch it thought the factory pop up screen. I then supplied power to the tuner and set it to output the signal as NTSC. My question was... After I had done this I was wondering how I could then set the xanavi to display the output of this dtv tuner? But since then I have figured out how to and not only that I also found out how to play an mp3 player through the xanavi using the inputs in the Dash

Hi all I have one of those stupid XANAVI units in my R34 GTT and given that it has the RCA connections in the boot, hence I though I could avoid spending money on a new head unit for a while. That said after i have connected the red and white audio cables in the boot, how to I switch to that input? Thanks in advance btw has anyone translated the xanavi dash controls?
