  1. For any half decent company you will require a HR license, many smaller operators who are not safety conscious might take you on but when your talking about the big boys with RIO and BHP etc then you must have a HR license which is where i assume you want to be working later on. Things like loaders when using forks require IT tickets and some other equipment but not specifically dump trucks unless its a client requirement on that site as such things do exist. Above Alkatraz your asking about whats called "move and test" verification of competency (VOC) and yes fitters/sparkies do require HR licenses to move machinery depending on the sites individual rules. So far ive worked across projects for Goldfields/Woodside/BHP/Rio Tinto and the safety requirements vary on every single project in relation to whatever the client wants The best advice i can give you if you want to get into mining or civil construction projects without having a trade qualification or a degree is to get a HR license and apply for a driller's offsider, Ausdrill is one of the better drilling companies in my experience. From there if you can do that for at least a year or two you will also have time to pick up Fork lift Tickets, Crane Tickets, IT tickets etc if you want to be a workshop TA. I am not saying these are mandatory to becoming a TA but will help you immensely when trying to find employment on a site. You might also want to try applying for serviceman position's aswell as you may have some luck with them without the crane/it/fork tickets if you don't want to go down that road.
  2. ty for the offers, all sorted
  3. Wanting to borrow a power fc hand controller for r33 gtr, mine was stolen recently and car is in at a workshop with sensor problems so i need one (dont really want to wait the 1-2+ weeks to get one out of jpn) willing to pay a deposit etc to borrow this.
  4. Hello My engine surges at idle now after having put a powerfc in and tuned and boost controller etc but it never did that before, also the engine light stay's on (the dash light) has anyone had this problem before? My engine is stock apart from that
  5. 95 r33 gtr. blitz pod filters new exhaust system power fc + hks boost controller running 15 pounds. 263 rwkw rest is stock as far as i know will post dyno sheet when i get back from work in 2 weeks
  6. im just curious has anyone had their car dyno'd before and after getting a new exhaust system fitted? if so what increase in performance did you get? i would assume other work done to the car would affect this figure aswell so anyone with a near stock gtr done this?
  7. not quite black but gives you a rough idea
  8. I had a slight missfire was due to the seals between the turbo intake manifold @ the plenum, also the ones between plenum and motor being buggered, new seals stopped the misfire might pay to check yours
  9. i thought it would cost somewhere near there but i wouldnt like to spend more than 20k on the engine all up
  10. Hello Been reading alot of forum posts here and seems like a pretty knowledgeable group of people. Anyway ive got a stock r33 gtr bar blitz pod filters, powerfc and a new mandril 3.5" custom exhaust being fitted this week and tuned(il post the dyno in a few weeks when i get back from work). What i wanted to know was your opinions on engine mods and expense with labour time (as i dont have the most time to actually do them myself unless their minor) The engine in my car has done approx 100-150 thou km's, I want to get it to 450awkw. Would it simply be more time/cost efficient to purchase a N1 long bare motor and use that as the base then turbos etc? If anyone has bought a new engine and done this i would like to talk to you if thats possible
  11. Hi Id like to get in on this so can you send me the details, thanks
