  1. spray some CRC or WD40 and jack the car up a little, dont take the tyres off the ground just the weight off them, the nuts hold the struts on so the weight of the car it on them. also when you put it back on go get your wheels aligned so you do not wear your tyres
  2. Leaglly if you have HID then you need to have water spayers on your headlights to clean them, similar to your windscreen ones.
  3. agreed there would be gains just not close to 20% gain... also worried about the placibo effect you know it must be quicker cause the dyno said so... i am not trying to be rude i just prefer stats that are real in terms of this... example is my car is identical to my brothers as in we are 100% neck and neck every drag/race but he has 28hp more then me... this is not my skill but a different dyno different day.
  4. Dont want to rain on your parade as this is a huge jump just on tune but was it done on the same dyno in same conditions as this might be a reason for some gain which is not really there?
  5. You might be lucky with someone getting a second gearbox and not needing it or someone with a wreak or half cut, try in the for sale for wreak's or even in the wanted to buy section. otherwise get Nissan to order it and get one of the consolidated workshops to install it. Are you sure it is the sensor, one of the workshops should be able to confirm this with a data logger on a dyno to see if the ECU is even getting a reading?
  6. look in the consolidated workshop thread mate and there are plenty of specialists that will be able to help. Nissan i have found have absolutly no clue about skylines, they are all young mechanics and the older guys cant be stuffed.
  7. i think your being sarcastic (i hope) but ends will be harder to meet if you have an accident from crappy tyres and injure yourself and cannot work.
  8. LOL one of those mornings i guess blame the weather..
  9. Yeah i get it about people slagging off cops. and i 100% agree with you on having illegal mods and breaking the law... i too am actually friends with 2 officers and even they cannot stand a lot of the s**t the power humgry ones say and do, i am all for doing the right thing, but it means they have to know the law too which the officer in this instance obviously did not.
  10. Ryan i think your giving them too much credit if you think they know that much about any car never mind a skyline... PS calm down a little and dont attack members until you know your right.. the first post has a V35 in his profile so 18's stock...
  11. Guys seriously if a cop starts to say something that your pretty sure is shit tell him your going to start recording the conversation and they will leave you alone instantly trust me it works.... if they do not want you to record them then let them know you will not speak with them until a third party turns up to verify the conversation, i get the old man to come down it is this sort of lies yes lies not mis-informed lies (think i made my point) that gives them the bad repoutation and also gives us unjust yellows.
  12. All people suck - lets not be racist about who and where from i just hate everyone except import drivers with respect Karma will get them in the end - happened to a guy that kicked the drivers rear quarter of my old car, he found out my mate was 3 cars behind with a bat
  13. it' missing something.... arh a clutch looks clean though from pics.
  14. Yeah if your going to do the work yourself then by all means cause then you know it is done right i would say if it is a serious problem still dont take it there and work it out yourself - i am sure you know more then a 15 year old apprentice
  15. Mate from all the people i know that have had them in Perth they are nothing but problems, there is no one at all in WA that knows how to service them correctly, as soon as you have one of the smallest things go wrong the car is rooted cause once those cheap apprentice mechanics get to it, it will never go back the same, they leave stuff out as you have already found with the traction control on that "repaired" one. i wont name the service company but my mates had issues with his AC for 3 years under warrenty and after the warrenty was up a normal electrician fixed in i half a day on his front lawn... that says something.
  16. Before anyone jumps to a conclusion about this some real facts for you to think about... a Red light camera anywhere will get your speed hance the double flash so they get a start and end distance to calculate speed. Also the camera will only flash if you cross the line after a red not a yellow light, so on a yellow you can still roll through at normal speed with no issues. I have been let off a fine due to the amount of rain and i went through slightly under the speed limit and told them there was a truck behind me that would not have stopped, they let me off for not being silly in the wet and i have a clean driving record, so dont try and beat the light and you will be fine.
  17. if you see one of these signs in say NT then you can go as fast as you like unless they have changed it since (someone in NT correct me)... most of those signs are being replaced as i have seen a few myself on country roads as the signs were used back when cars would not go quite so quick
  18. Just so everyone knows that open speed limit in WA is still 110Km/h
  19. Mine said the same which is why i could not prove i had changed it since the permit... the only way after speaking to the sargent is to have an ID stamped into the zorst and having that listed on the permit.. DPI told me they would not do this for me as that is the desription.. i gave up at this point and said o well just better not get pulled over... i know your trying to do the right thing and so was i... problem is there is too many tools out there doing the wrong thing so the police will always find a way to put you over the pits even if you have permits so honestly a waste of time and money in my experience, and i am not the only one i have heard this heppen too. you might have better luck.
  20. ok i accept that i am wrong if you can prove me wrong... here officer is my permit for the zorst.. officer simply replied to me "that does not state it is for this zorst and you may have changed it since the permit" dont simply say i am wrong when i have had this...
  21. I would say buy the newer 34 GTT as it is more a sports car then a GTR - now i have everyones attention yes a sports car is rear drive and has been that way since cars were around i think of the GTR as a super-car the likes of Lambo, Audi and that P word so.. Sports = GTT Super = GTR my 20 cents.
  22. And not even worth 2 cents when you show the cops.... sorry but true.
  23. Guys, i think we all need to stress less about this honestly, i was on the power cruise the other week and sending out 1.5 meter flames from my 34 (i know needs a tune) and i have huge black spots on my car seriously it is that bad on a white car that you can see it from miles away and yet not been pulled over yet even with cops being behind me (too slow to get in front ) it is how you drive and you wont get pinged and wont need a test seriously stressing over something that you have not had happen is silly.... honestly o no my dad broke his leg and the cast was done wrong now i dont want to break my leg and need a cast just in case... i know that is dumb and by all means flame me but so is all this talk about emmisions when there is nothing we can do..
  24. rather then guess i think someone needs to pay them a visit and actually ask... but i agree that susspension needs to be adjustable as how to you align things...:S
