  1. You better be able to back those fighting words up with some ability you drunken gimp!
  2. Reedy, sweet hope to see you there
  3. If the car makes it through the day, then I think there is a good chance it will run again.
  4. If anyone does deside to attend, please let me know how bussy it is, if its empty and not 30+ deg, I might pop down for a drive.
  5. Anyone who is planning to be at the L2S day on the 19th Oct should really be on the gig, its going to be a top test of your skills.
  6. If the car is still alive by the end of this day, the next challenge may very well be the L2S at the creek!
  7. Let me know closer if you can make it.
  8. Ok, Here are the likely players for the day. Oz GTR Steve WRX Beer B!tch Ports Evil Nath95 Prank Abo Boostedboat Ranbunctious1 Driver cahllange Oz GTR Steve WRX Abo Boostedboat
  9. Ok to spice things up a little, John from UAS has provided us with the chance to work out who the best driver really is, same car same day. Please see the additional detail in the attached post. Please post your interest there is you want to drive. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=138007
  10. All, Its time to decide who is the best driver in town. Its a level playing field, same car, same day, same track! Discussion's last night with John from UAS has provided us with a unique opportunity to test our driving skills. John has a spare car that we can track on Thursday 19th Oct OP GP L2S day. We will all get 3 laps in the car, which is equipped with timing equip. Who ever is the quickest will win the prize, and the respect of the track day warriors! Ok the car. Its a 1991 corsair 2.4lt manual 5 speed front wheel drive. The car is registered but has a little front end damage, but still drives ok. The cost will be $50 for a seat in this ultimate track car! All costs covered, fuel, brakes, clutch, tyres everything. Our goal is to not kill the car, as anyone who cook's the clutch, brakes, gearbox or engine will automatically be disqualified and be shamed off the SAU. Anyone who is silly enough to crash the car must work off the dept to UAS by working a weekend, getting coffees and cleaning UAS's workshop or repairing the damaged car if repairable. We cannot drive it like we stole it, the longer the car lasts, the more laps we get and the more chances you have in clocking off the best lap time and winning the 1st place prize. Depending on the number of entries first prize will be anything from a bottle of Motul 300V, to an oil change and if we get enough players a full service for your car. John is eligible to drive since he is putting up the vehicle. Im obviously in. Abo Bob is in as well. Steve (WRX) is in as well. Ok let me know if ready to take the driving challenge and work out who is the best driver. Note: You will need an L2S licence for the day and be attending the OP private practice on the 19th Oct $110.
  11. OP L2S are private practice days and there will be no timing at the event. The good news is UAS's will be bringing timers, they are for hire $30 for the day. If you and someone kickin $15 each you get a lot of value for the day. I think there are 5 timers available on the day. I know Abo is keen to have one, so there are 4 left.
  12. Pics are great, thanks everyone
  13. Thats the million dollar question.
  14. Where are you and what condition is the block in?
  15. In car footage would be a blast I agree. My car does not always react like that, I had a mismatch of tyres on the car. I had some really old hard slicks on the rear and some fresh really good quality ones on the front, hence the car kept loosing traction on the corners and having the rear step out continuously.
  16. I probably wont be coming, I will save myself for the 19th At Oran Park.
  17. Abo, It was good to see your fastest lap of the day was actually the last one when we were dualing! Good work!
  18. Overall, a good day, as always very slow in the morning, 6 laps by 1.30pm, but then I had another 5-7 sessions, so overall a good day. From memory John's boat put some good limes 1.44 and then 2 x Rx7's on 1.48's and then me at 1.51. then about 20-30 other cars to 2min. Abo and I had a couple of good duals at the end. The bad news we popped the R32 again, thats life for a trkbch. Look forward to the pics. Thanks to all the flaggies, I hope everyone enjoyed my turn 2 driving style. I promise it was not drifting, as that was not allowed!
  19. No probs, be ready after the first 3 laps with Primordial, and I will car hop.
  20. Primordial has already bags me in the first timer laps, if anyone else wants me shot gun, let me know.
  21. As I said, Im will to give it a go, but some free lap time to play would be gold, even a couple of 15 min sessions throughout the day would be nice. Anyway only 2 sleeps to go!
  22. Liz, What you driving now?
  23. Im ready to have a drive and have some fun. Im a little sceptical about the hot lap format, but I am willing to give it a go. What will be the change of having some open track time a little latter on in the day?
  24. The last 3 times I did EC L2S I only did about 20-30 laps. The last L2S at OP GP I did 100 + laps, easy decision for me.
