  2. All, The thread has been update and I can get access to them from this weekend.
  3. Ummm no, race tyres with no wet wheather groves are not road legal. Sorry!
  4. All, If I was able to get my hands on some 17" NEW race slicks for about $200 would anyone be interested? Ckeck out my thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=124955 Thanks
  5. All, I am able to get my hands on about 10 sets of NEW race slicks. They are Falken RS003 240 x 610 x 17". This is similar deal to the Toyo R888 tyres I found last month. I originally thought they are were going to be around the $200 mark but the actual landed price is $275 each. Post up or PM my if you want a set. Thanks
  6. Check out my crack, its bigger then Fatz's!
  7. I do the following. The first session I do 3 warm up laps, get the enginee, brakes and tyres to track temp. All other sessions I do 1-2 warm up because the car normally still has some temp in it. Always do 1 SLOW lap cool down and keep the car running for about 5min. Never do anything more then 10-15min (Summer-Winter) at full go, a street can cant take much more, Brakes and tyres go off and enginee temp gets too high. Saying that every car is different!
  8. Holly crap there is a lot of pic's great work!!
  9. I cracked my front right brake disk, I was very lucky it did not happen on the track otherwise both myself and the car could have ended in a big mess! I will take a photo and post it up.
  10. You non serious drift drives should keep to yourselves, us serious trackers were there to drive seriously not get the cars sideways, oh sh!t I was sideways, perhaps I have turned to the dark side? Majanal, you are the son of one of another skyline driver who I call a friend PHHHR PAHHH!
  11. I think they are a one shot through away. Everyone was welcome, a great group of first timers and hopefully a new wave of trackers!
  12. Roy, I cracked up a 1.09 at wakefield, on second hand slicks.
  13. The change was very noticable on the track, since the tune I have managed a EC and Wakefield track day, the car has heaps more grunt and I have eliminated 2nd gear from both tracks, the car pulls so strong at 3000, to 3500 there is no need to drop it to second as it only rips up the tyres. Im very happy!
  14. Ports, I clocked a 1.12 on my road tyres first up in the morning, slicked up and got down to 1.09, it was dry all day, and yes see you at EC.
  15. Yes, it was by far the best RENEW's day we had, they had their sh!t together, we were on the track early and I did about 160 laps, a great day, well done RENEWS and SAU. TOP SHOW! Im very happy with the 1.09 it was my goal for the day and I got there, I did crack a rotor I will post up some pics for a laugh! If any of the passangers were wondering what that shutter was, it was the rotor's I check twice but both times the crack was under the caliper. I drove home without using the brakes once, goto love that M7! Drove into UAS at 8.30am on Monday morning and drove out at 10am with DBA 4000 rotors, Im not sure if they will improve my times, but I can no longer say I have STD brakes and suspension, as I now have an upgrade, even if the upgrade was 7% the cost of the original Nissan part. FYI $220 for DBA's $3300 GTR STD rotor. Well done to all first timers, everyone drove hard but not stupid, and it shows with no broken cars or accidents, well done everyone top work, and I trust we will see you at the next day.
  16. Is there any spectator out there wants to ride shotgut, Its a long drive and a long day and my mate just pulled out. You can either meet me at Castle Hill or somewhere on the M7. Let me know with a PM including your Mobile!
  17. Well, it was not the best drive day on record, CAM's were a little too anal and lacked communiation which meant we missed the last 2 and a 1/2 hours of driving due to some idiot loosing oil on the track. anyway the age old saying you get what you paid for. Good turn out 4 Sylines and about 3 Z's.
  18. Im almost ready, the brakes are being fitted now, and I will be out there a bit before 9am. Bonks, I think there will be Me, John UAS, Jason GTR, you and the boy, I think fatz is out due to brake issues. Weather looks fine, lets go play!
  19. Do the rotary boys have any spots left?
  20. Abo, Any news on the back up list? Ralph is real keen? Im waiting to hear back on my rear rotors, other wise I will be out as well!!
  21. John, Im I going to be in the same position as fatz or will my new rear rotors be in the car by Friday? Call me to confirm. Thanks
  22. Optimax extream
  23. The car is a great daily driver, plenty of low end with std suspension its fine on the roads, keep it under 3000rpm and it drives like a 2.6lt SSS pulsar!
