  1. Work was flat out and I did not get the chance to pop out. I think I will take leave next track day to ensure I make it. Bad news about the cars, I hope they all get sorted.
  2. All, Thanks for the comments and keep them coming. I am happy extend the tune time by 1 to 2 hours if there is still more work required. Mark has offered to send the completed Maps of an identical GTR for me to preload my apexi, then we can spend the 1 hr in fine tuning.
  3. Gents, I have spoken to Mark at Hills, Im very happy with his process and knowlage and very happy with $190 to tune with 1 hr dyno time included. Fatz, Hmmmm Beer!
  4. Ok I meant driving the GTR like a fully bread race car and having to rebuild the engine after each race!
  5. On another note, Red Im thinking of taking the day off and taking the Fireblade out in the morning as well. What are your plans?
  6. I think I may be a case of the old sump Baffle & or no surge protector. 12 trackdays no sump baffle or surge restrictor, on street tyres. Last year EC warm up lap BANG! broken inlet valve #3 right beside where the surge protector shim goes? On inspection nothing except a metal fatigue caused from surges of hot and cold oil could explain. $4k for a new engine, $1k to repair turbo (Inlet valve squeezed past the Outlet valve made its way out to the turbo), $4k for the labour, $5k on go fast & track longevity bits. Two parts which were included, a sump baffle and a restrictor shim $500. I think so many thing can go wrong at anytime, there are other related factors such as heat, age of car, KM travelled, how hard a life it has had, its hard to say exactly what goes wrong. If you don’t have things like a bigger radiator, oil cooler, larger oil pump, baffle, restrictor, I think personally you can limit your risk by keeping the RPM’s below 7000 and not to think you are playing PS2. My thoughts only!
  7. After a long battle with getting my PFC fixed and the boost controller working, I’m now ready to tune the car. I boosted to 1 bar last night and the response was exciting. I’m not sure where to take it, or even if I should do it myself. My thoughts were to go down to Bob Wynn’s dyno and book it for an hour and have a play. I don’t want to spend $1000+ to SAS or CAS to change my timing figures and add a few ms of duty cycle, I know how to do that. Let me know of your experiences and cost with other people, or do you think I can do it myself? My mods are. PFC Apexi Boost kit Steel wheel High flowed (47.5mm) turbo's FMIC 700 x 360 x 72mm 550cc Injectors HKS dumps with 3 1/4" exhaust Cam sprockets (Currently +4 / -4) 3000lb brass button clutch to hold the power. What do you think the WK numbers should be? Thanks all
  8. Well done Fatz, look forward to seeing it on the track!
  9. As normal, I will try and find some time and meet you out there a little later in the arvo. Thanks
  10. Fatz, Get that 31 fully sicked up mate, there is nothing like a sleepy sleeper!
  11. I especially love the part about "I am even thinking about stuffing with the handling, not that it will be needed" LOL LOL LOL This guy obviously knows more about racing than any one else on the planet. I suggest that in 4 years when he gets his head out of his arse he brings his 4-year project car to EC. Once he does I suggest he drives in the D Group LOL LOL, he's a jerk off!
  12. Love the rain, its been a while since we had a wet day actually.
  13. My PC at work is password protected and I cant load any drivers or anything, apparently support get pissed if its "NOT AUTHERISED". Any chance of a different compression? I dont care how big it is, not with at 10Meg per second download!
  14. me as well! unable to decompress is the alarm.
  15. Tex, When you get some time would you please chop together some of my drift and in car footage, what you did up in the above file is top Sh!t.
  16. Yeah tuff talk fatz, just because you need grass to get your wheels to spin!
  17. What does the rain god have to say about Monday? Is Fatz sober enough to do the usual dance?
  18. Dan, I will get my medical done in the few next weeks and I can test out the process if you want. I have been waiting for this before getting by C3? I think, whatever the Finlay qualifies you for. On behalf of Team Trackday TOP JOB Dino. See you at EC Monday to discuss.
  19. I will pay that one!
  20. Yeah, I can see them laughing to themselfs saying. "Mid life crisis"
  21. I must be one of the lucky ones, 4 years and about 200,000 Km's is a skyline and not once have I been pulled over. I even have come pull me over number plates, I dont get it?
  22. I may be a late arival, dont include me, I may drop in later that Arvo.
  23. I think the new deposit requirement reduces drop outs by a lot, I would suggest we loose 5-10% from now on. Main problems will be cars which stop working etc.
