Well, well, well , Hhhmmmmmmmm. after a non eventful ride day with Abo bob at OP GP 2 weeks ago, I thought I would improve my riding capabilities at the super bike school. Today on my 4th session at Eastern creek, I decided to drop the wife’s bike at turn 7. I was close to the ground when the front tyre let go so the impact was minimal. All I can remember is diving into turn 6 and thinking WHAT WAS THAT as I watch the bike slide away from me at a great rate of knots. As I was sliding I realised I was laying on a race track and chose to stand up only to realise I was still moving so I had to run to avoid a face plant. According to the instructor who was following me, I did not do anything wrong, it just looks like I over cooked the tyre and it just let go on the apex. The wife took the ordeal fairly well, she was more pi$$ed about missing the rest of the day then the damage to the bike. Some pics Although it was dropped at about 80-90km/hr a 2nd hand mirror and rear fairing parts are under $300 in total. The scratches we will have to live with. Cant wait for the next one!

Jason, hows the riding coming along, I just had 3 weeks off with a chest infection, first day back on the bike today, but I am riding Castle Hill to Springwood this Sat morning, I need the hill practice. Will probably be my last long ride before the event.

The wife and I are doing race school tomorrow at the creek, should be a nice day. I hope to improve my racing skills, on 27 people so should be a fantastic day.

Fatz, Almost as good as the fathersday L2S day when some idiot lost his load just before lunch, 4 schooners later we are back on the track doing our best lap times of the day.

Yeap the GP at oran, it was really good fun, and better then I originally thought it would be. It was cheap as well, $150 on a weekend BUT there were 160 bikes, no way we could ever put 40 cars on at once. It was really good after lunch once the numbers thinned out a little.

Yeah I wish, no both the wife and I had it handed to us by Adam, this was our first real ride in 5-6 years since before the kids came along. I have only done about 500 freeway km on the bike, and the last time the wife was on a bike she was riding a 250cc. I want to do some motor bike school days next month and hope to step it up next time Im out.

Yeah I will be riding in the event. Im currently in training with 2 other mates who have done it before. We are slowly increasing our distance each weekend. We ride from the M7 (Windsor Rd) and turn around when we get far enough. Did 38km last week, aiming for 45km next week. I dont think I will join the team but hope to see you on the ride. If anyone feel like sponsoring the fat barsted rides 90km fund, please post up and send it to Jas-25T
