Block is sold. I'll now do the crank, rods and pistons for $150 (pistons need replacing). Anyone want to turn their RB25 into a 2.6?

I e-mailed Injector Dynamics and the reply is below: The ID1000 has a narrow spray angle, 5 degrees included, so a small difference in the tip depth won't really make a difference in the end. If it were a wide cone then depth could have a big affect on where the fuel lands, but not so much with a narrow cone. Makes sense so I've gone ahead and fitted them. Just to clarify, I had no fitment issues with the ID's, I just thought they sat high in the ports. Looking at the design of the XSpurts, they would also sit high in the port.

Hi All, I just bought a set of ID1000's for my 26/30 and it looks like the nozzle on the standard injector goes a fair bit deeper into the injector port than with the ID1000. Has anyone machined out the injector port to get the nozzle down closer to the inlet? Cheers, Shane

It has had something go through it so it will require new pistons and a bore to 86.5mm or possibly 87mm. I'm chasing the reinforcement braces that go between the bottom of the engine block to the bottom/front of the gearbox on an R33. Let me know if you have a spare pair kicking about. Thanks, Shane

Hi All, I'm building a 26/30 for my 240Z. I have a Haltech Sport 2000 in the car from the previous engine with the generic loom the computer comes with and plan to use this to run the RB. I'm using the head off an R32 RB26. I'm currently shopping for a set of Splitfire coilpacks and was wondering if I could use a set for an R34 GTR so that they have the built in igniters? I thought it would be a bit tidier than using the R32 items and a seperate igniter. Am I likely to run into any problems? Do the R34 coilpacks have the same physical dimensions as the R32 items, ie, will they fit? I'd be interested to hear from anybody who has used R34 GTR coilpacks with an aftermarket ECU which isn't plug and play. Thanks, Shane

Thanks mate, I got the front part of an R34 tailshaft when I bought my gearbox. Just need the rear yoke that goes onto the diff really.

Thanks, does anyone know if some of the studs on the inlet side line up between a 20 and 26? I know most of the exhaust studs do. If I can get a few to line up then it will do the job for what I'm after. I'm also after the rear part of an R33 or R34 tailshaft if anyone has one.

Hi All, I'm after a stuffed RB26 head. I don't care if it's cracked, warped, got a ferret stuck in a port (common problem on RB26's). Only condition is it must be very cheap. I just want it to put on a buggered block I have in the shed and make a dummy engine I can fit in the engine bay and see how everything is going to fit. Basically after something that was destined for scrap metal. I'm also chasing a slave cylinder, throwout fork and bearing for an R34 GTT box. Cheers, Shane

Do you know the part number for the clutch? How much life would you say it has left in it? Any chance of some pics?
