    im not in the car market much but wouldnt buy a GTR 'with rebuilt engine' without seeing reciepts, and also important: who built the engine, did they know what they were doing?

    What state are you in? Just put the stock catback on, pass EPA/clear defect then put your aftermarket one back on Exhausts with electronic valve control are awesome for being quiet on the street, at the end of the day they are probably illegal but if your exhaust isn’t making a loud noise then no-one is going to look at it are they? Stock Cat is restrictive but your better off getting a highflow one

    myself being in the market for a GTR i would much rather pick one up that is close to stock so i can do all the work on it myself plus you need to consider that for the price of a tastefully modified BNR32 you could buy a newer 33 or 34 thats stock which is much more tempting

    Where are all the comments on this thread!? Awesome work mate, engine bay looks mint pity the oil pump got blow’d up New engine sounds like it will go hard though Baffle covers = no more blow by? Look forward to seeing progress of the new engine

    the second oil pickup port your talking about doesnt actually work yeah the best way is to undo the shafts, take them out then weld up the two holes they left infact the AWD sump is better than a normal rb25 sump apparently its better with heat!

    oops i forgot this part, you just need to cut a bit of the top baffle so the oil pickup can slide in

    guess im not the expert but all we had to do to put a stagea 4WD rb25 into my mates RWD r32 was change the sump and pickup, and both these things bolted straight on im pretty sure the other option that we considered was to just remove the front 4WD shafts and weld up the holes that are left behind, but i think the 4WD sump wouldnt clear swaybar... sorry cant remember

    not gonna like this answer but its better than "down the drain" i just put all my used fluids in 5L oil/coolant bottles then leave it at the door of local mechanic overnight

    maybe he is talking about the stagea rb25 that has all this 4wd shit hanging off the sump? only other thing i can think of is if the engine bay is same frame as a silvia in that case the sump will hit the sway bar, easy fix you jsut get a cefiro sway bar

    hmm just read your avatar and says you have a rb25 in your s13 in that case maybe do consider a greddy plenum, then get a decent intercooler core and get your piping custom made the greddy plenum doesnt have huge gains but makes the piping a lot shorter and less clutter in the engine bay

    i think he is talking about replacing the side mount intercooler with a front mount intercooler mate, 280 is a pretty big goal, id say go with a greddy kit if you can find one for an ok price the kits from ebay (china) will do the 280 but they just dont fit as well

    yeah i think r32 gtr is a bad idea, no matter how clean its 20 years old and will always need maintence
