NSW State Supersprints 2009
SteadyEddie replied to Michele's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Also, can everyone get back to what the real reason is...... Its got nothing to do with trophy hunting - got nothing to do with budgets, etc - got nothing to do with anyone personal (although alot of you are making it that way) Its all about the rules being wrong - and getting them changed. I say wrong (and people can dispute that - I'm sure they will) - because CAMS changed them to exclude someone from always winning - and CAMS admit that..... Now, if you dont think thats wrong - or you dont think that is discriminating - then keep having a go at Michele about her personally - and totally deflect the real reason - because you cant defend what you really know is right (the arguement of getting the rules changed)...as they say "the best form of defense is attack!!!" - lets attack the individual because thats easier than trying to formulate an argument against something you know is wrong.... Look, if the outcome is they break up supersprint into different types and categories, then thats fine - but as it stands - the only supersprint series is all inclusive of types - yet discriminates against who can be the outright winner.... -

Harry - I dont know what is wrong with you. Do you have a personal issue with Michele? Play the ball, not the player!!! Now - how can you say the rules are right? you said you have explained it - but you dont also then understand that it has been explained, a number of times - why the rules were changed - CAMS admit they changed them to exclude a certain person from winning all the time. Thats why - so I do understand WHY they excluded type 5. Obviously, because you dont accept this as the reason why - you are the one that doesnt understand WHY. You cant say anything to change this - its FACT -PURE FACT and CAMS admit it!!! dont try and disput it - its FACT!!! did you hear - FACT So now that I've established whats FACT and what is not.... Again I will say, the concern/fight/whatever you want to call it is about the discrimination or "disconnect" (only because I know you love that word!) that CAMS has created and righting the wrong. The rules use to be all inclusive - but CAMS changed them to discriminate or fix the championship. Honestly, how can you say thats right? - you cant - your only defense is to attack Michele personally - you dont see what the fight is all about.... -

Talk about missing the point......the whole point of Michele/Neils and anyone else that runs a type 5 - is they can not win outright - and the reason they can not win outright is because the rules were setup so they couldn't - plain and simple...yet you carry on about this and that and miss the whole reason. The rules are WRONG - CAMS admit they changed the rules to exclude a type - that is fixing.... The argument is all about that - nothing else - yet you cant see that....so dont talk about "missing the point entirely" - you havent understood - from your first comment to your last - what the argument has been about...I'm glad thats all from you - because you havent contributed anything constructive because you havent understood what the whole point of Michele/Neils concerns are - basically you have totally missed everything...ITS ALL ABOUT THE RULES BEING WRONG AND LETS GET THEM CHANGED....read that - and listen!!! -

Like I said before - uninformed comments just make you look like a complete fool - and dont help..... I see lots of people reading this thread, that have had contact with Michele (in person and/or on this forum)....is she a trophy chaser? I dont think so one little bit. Did she enter the state championship just for a "free pass" - not at all - these comments of yours are just totally misinformed and could be said to be spiteful.... Michele is very helpful and encouraging and has helped many people on these forums to get into grass roots motorsport.....unfortunately you cant see past having a go at Michele to the real issue!!! -

1. Kimi Raikkonen has been driving all his life (since age 3!!) - Michele has been driving for 2 years - has only been driving the formula holden just over 12 months. Michele's point about the tennis players was to demonstrate discriminating against someone wanting to compete at their level - we dont do that in tennis. Michele just wants to compete, completely fairly and be eligible to any points, at her level! 2. What is a club level car? what a silly comment....you could say clubbies, that have been worked, are not club level cars - you could say that the worked V8 Maloo ute that runs in our club hillclimb is not a club level car....i'll say no more!!! 3. The point of Michele's and Neil's argument/concerns regrading the NSW state Supersprint Championship is that it discriminates - plain and simple.....there is also a level of inconsistency between state and national level. Michele can win outright at the nationals but not at state level...both CAMS events... 4. I know Michele wouldnt have anything against the clubbies, tin tops and everyone else eligible to win outright - I'm sure she will be the first to congratulate them.....its a problem with the rules - its a problem with CAMS - its a problem with the SS panel.....they are discriminating against a class of cars - which they are very happy to take their money and let them run - just dont let them take out the title!!! I dont mean to bag/flame you - but as I said in point 3 is what it is all about.....making not completely informed comments doesnt help......lets get behind Neil and Michele and change this disconnect/inconsistency. -

Good to see the SAU community is alive and kicking....... Shell, I wanted to say the C word, but I dont like that one - ask Michele !!! The 34 is not meant to be able to be taken out of park until accessories are on - but obviously it can if you force it hard enough!!! Yeah Titan - it does have the passenger release.... The battery issue on the alarm is all fixed now and Shell, the steadeddie mobile lives another day!!! James - I dont think you'd appreciate a 3:30am call but thanks so much for the offer

When Michele woke me at 3:30 this morning it didnt really sink in...but it has now!!! I'm soooooooooo pissed off (sorry Shell if I cant say that!)... lucky I took the window breakage option on my insurance - letting me replace one free of charge each year!!! - my insurance just paid for itself this year!!! Independent Race Series - Round 1
SteadyEddie replied to SteadyEddie's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Round 1 has been cancelled ...and it looks like the whole series is in doubt Talking to Michele last night and she wasnt very happy about it - very disappointing -
Everyone know that Michele has a Formula Holden, and if you dont - have you been living under a rock or somethin'!!!! Hillclimbs, supersprints, SOTS days are just not enough, its time to do proper circuit racing. So.................................as the title says, the IRS round 1 is on Saturday 12 July. Michele has entered this series and is ready to set it alight (http://www.irace.net.au/news/index.php?cat...ormula%20Tasman) Round 1 is on at Oran Park, which isnt a HUGE drive away from Canberra, so get up to OP and support her. Weather is looking good for the weekend. We will be their Friday for practice, and the race is on Saturday. So - do yourself a favour and come support grass roots motorsport, and Michele's first circuit race.

We have analysed the data a bit more and an update: Michele is pulling about 1.2 Gs (lat - thats pushing her sideways) through the corner. As Michele goes into the corner she is doing about 164 KM/h, so her braking from 200 KM/h down to the corner is in about in 41m in .8 of a second. As Michele hits the brake she is pulling about 1.2 Gs forward movement too. This is into corner two (one after the kink). Few other stats:- - corner onto the straight - pulling about 1.3 Gs side movement. - fish hook - about 1.4Gs side movement
-
Guys and Gals I've just downloaded the data from Michele last run and yes - she was showin' off!! She was carrying 200km/h through the kink on the straight and breaks down to 85 km/h in 5 seconds - gotta be happy with that!!!! I think these smilies tell the story ...... .... .....
